Your footage is wonderful, and it's lovely to see the awe with which you greet the islands. The love you have for them is very evident. I have one minor quibble though: Lewis and Harris, despite being part of the same landmass, are very much two separate islands, as the people from both would testify, and I think your language should reflect that when talking about them, instead of just saying "Lewis & Harris" everywhere you go on them. You can specify, "I'm on Lewis" or "I'm on Harris." The division line runs roughly between the head of Loch Seaforth on the east coast, and Loch Reasort on the west, with Harris to the south and Lewis to the north. Lovely that you got to Great Bernera; that is an oft overlooked gem.
It's a beautiful place. We go over to the Outer Hebrides every summer with our dogs. This year we're back on Lewis and Harris and we love it. I hope you enjoyed it.
I bet its so different in the summer with the longer daylight and the summer vibes on those beaches! Hope you all have a wonderful time guys! Rob & Archie
@@PackTheVanAndGo there are certainly more people around but still very quiet by mainland standards. Even at Luskentyre if you go down around 7 or 8 am you can have the place to yourself. If you're still on the islands please feel free to message me and I can give you some places to visit. All the best
@@Angusdane1 thank you that’s very kind of you to offer. I am not on the island anymore, this was all filmed over a month ago.. but I’ll be back again at some stage and will definitely be after advice on more locations
So glad I came across your chanel. Brilliant video amd some awesome drone shots. Looking forward to seeing more much love amd safe travels from mik and willow
Your smile says it all. Lewis and Harris are incredible places, as are Uist and Barra, all with their own individual characteristics. Amazing video, loved the drone shots. 😊
I have so much footage from Lewis and Harris, I couldn’t fit it all in one video… but it’s all simply stunning and can’t wait to go back again one day x
The Ferry over looked mental , and the drive on the island looked really calming , and the beach and that house, wow, what a place, as you said mate, stunning and tranquil , i didnt see any white lines on the roads so must be super quiet .So much footage to watch, the drone over the beaches, im gonna have to watch again. EPIC mate 👍👍👍
Mate you would love it over there.. if the weather is right, its stunning and peaceful! If the weather don't want to play, then its a right bitch! You need to go visit the island sometime mate! Totally worth it!
Excellent to watch,👍 I was over there in June last year,I don’t have a drone but did get some good pictures,it looks like we have been to the same places (looking forward to seeing next weeks video) it’s amazing to see it from the air, gives the place a whole new feel to the landscape 👍 Happy travels Atb John 🏴
The weather was ☀️ spectacular…..the week before we got there 😂 Arrived Saturday evening, stayed at the butt of Lewis the first night, drove all over the place, bosta beach, luskentyre etc ,some stunning sights, the landscape can be out of this world like another planet. Atb John 🏴
Fabulous video Rob. Definitely worth putting up with stormy weather to have a glorious sunny day like that. Stunning scenery. Everything awesome on one island. Shame you could not go inside that little house. Looking forward to watching the next episode already 😀 Keep Loving the Adventure Mate
@@PackTheVanAndGo Thank you Rob, I'm well in myself, but had a rough night at sea hauling some berk out of his broken yacht. He's lucky to be alive. I agree with you about Skye (or Shetland) weather. Fabulous - we have literally just got back from our dec and January in Scotland and stayed at Luskentyre beach and absolutely loved touring the outer Hebrides! Stunning!
WOW, so stunning 🥰😍 completely different landscapes from where I used to live on an island, but I just love the feeling of being open to the elements ❤ Thank you again for such an awesome video, and give Archie a huge hug, please 🙏
Hi what fantastic video me and my wife been looking at it that being back lot's off memories. Well we got the boat at Oban to Barra and then to Vatersay what a fantastic place to stay nice white sands blue and green sea. Nuthing like it at all we got there at 8.00pm in May 2005 and in September the best time to go your video as bring back Memories .
just one small point if you stayed on the Southern side of Tarbert side of you were In Lewis once you cross the bridge on the A859 do you enter in to Harris! otherwise they are known as the Western isles but it is a wonderful place! I know when i was there the locals were passionate as to what part of the island you were on. The round concrete bus stops to the peat stacked on the side of the road dug for use in the winter, to the helicopter re-fuelling points on the side of the roads, I went there in the summer and swam in Taransay sound and was surprised just how clear the waters were for basically swimming in the Atlantic and surprised just how warm the Gulf stream was that pass the Western side of the Island and up around the top of Scotland.
The only thing we missed is the bikini in that video 👙😁 But your edit of that memories is jsut mindblowing. Lovely video - stunning dronefootage and excellent choice of music - we LOVE IT😍😍😍😍

HI and thank you for the kind words ❤️ As for Lewis and Harris, the north is quite flat bu the reminder of the island is quite rugged, a mini version of the west coast of Scotland! Hope that helps? x
I nearly went there in '92. The ferry could take me when I arrived but couldn't return until the following week. I had to be back at work before then. Thanks for posting your journey, so I can see what I have missed.....quite a lot by the look of it 😀

@@PackTheVanAndGo I am better for watching this thanks, what a beautiful amazing place and great drone footage too. This may be one of the places that people will wish they lived in, if all the 15 minute city nonsense arrives. Thank you for watching and glad you liked the drone footage. Unfortunately I won't able to provide you with either the footage or music.. the music is paid for and copyrighted and can only be used by my channel and the footage belongs to myself only. Regards Rob
No issues, some places are quite remote and you won’t get a signal, but majority of the time no issues… I have EE sim in my router and Vodafone on my phone…
Glad you had a good time here, but may I point out a bit of a sore point. Harris and Lewis are always treated as two separate entities. So when you were in Tarbert for example you would just say Harris. We are rightly proud of our individual identities and no self respecting islander would call it Harris and Lewis! I think this is a bit of a new phenomenon, since the use of #’s but I am sure you will agree that our islands are so much more. Moran taing.
