I think we kinda take these comment videos of yours for granted now; but they're actually brilliant for anyone doing an engine job. Especially the normally daunting carb rebuilds. Good on you and thanks a mil mate.
I bought yesterday the gsx 400 s which has 2 zylinder, not 4 like here, tomorrow im gonna to open the engine and restore it. Nice video, help me a lot. Thanks
@@Mezzmoengineering One question: how did you open the crankcase? I opened all bolts but the 2 pieces are so stuck/glued together... I dont know how to open this thing. Maybe you have some tricks...
@@janrueticlips Hi, yes its glued with sealant. Once all bolts are removed you need to ease a blade or screwdriver and gently tap into between the casings to get them to separate.
Hi, yes that's what you should do. I didn't show that because I re-used the rings and then a bit later I fitted a new set after seeing some smoke after getting it running.
@@ДимонЮрьев-ю6щ Hi, I'm not really sure as the engine in the video is the only one I worked on. Maybe try one of the Suzuki bike forums as someone should have this info for you.
В нем используется поршень 56 мм, вы можете поставить еще один поршень 56 мм по цене оригинала ... В этом велосипеде используется термостат ... Если размер коленчатого вала составляет 32 мм, какой размер подшипниковых шеек он использует ...
Those engines are pile of junk even after rebuild. I had one from 83 with changes to the crank and big end shells. Two days ago it spun cyl 1 big end shells - pile of junk now, works like bucket of screws and nuts. What is ironic? I have checked every 5000 km maintenance job oil pressure and used synthetic every time. It spun shells anyway. THOSE ENGINES HAVE OIL DELIVERY FLAW even after the changes later in production. Mine lasted 90839 kilometres, two days ago it died. I don't think rebuilding high mileage engine is much of sense.

Hey i have a question my Suzuki bandit 600s my clutch lever didnt work anymore than my ölpump dosent work the red lamp is on and i can go in first gear or second and i can roll my bike like there is neutral. And i can go with my finger by the oil filler and the clutch basket is loose. sorry for my english :D i hope my motor dosent take damage ....
HI, it doesn't sound good. If I was you I would remove the bottom engine cover and check the oil pump carefully. Also, you should remove the side cover for the clutch to see whats going on in there. Good luck. Running it more now is likely to just cause more damage.

Excellent job! I thought that before installing the cylinders you should aligne the rings cut 120º from eachother.

Well that was a lot more complex than my old Holden Gemini engine. :D
Hermoso video !!!!
Such a satisfying engine build
Thanks Duramimo
Have the same engine in a bike (Inazuma) would love to do a rebuild someday.
Спасибо за видео))
Be nice if we had the little 4 cylinder Suzuki's here in America,
how many pieces metal multi-layer gasket does you put on it?
Hi mate, not sure how many layers as it comes complete ready to install

Nice build. What did you use to get the covers like a polished mirror?
Hi, I used a polishing wheel attachment on my bench grinder. Starting with sanding, then different polishing compounds and some patience
