You are correct, I always forget there's a chassis difference. I haven't had a first-gen, only a second-gen, so I'm not well up to date on the minutiae of the first-gen. I appreciate the correction!

My grandfather passed over ten years ago and his 69 chevy pick up has been sitting in my backyard and seeing it this truck in the condition it's in brought back so many memories of how my grandpas truck used to look

Car STUFF274 my thoughts exactly but nope in 1970 chevy had a paint delivery being shipped in an the boat sank with the 1970 gm paint,so they mixed what they had ....made rust orange,and painted 6708 70 pick ups,and 30k engine blocks making the imfamous chevy orange engine blocks.........

Just got my full license yesterday and that truck is my dream vehicle.
I had a lowered 71 Jimmy I built up for a long time in the late 90s. So much fun, miss that ride.

Need to bring Hert my old cummins shell it is a dodge 1979 single cab with long bed that i have custom fab. It is slammed to the ground with BC racing coils with custom upper and lower control arms. Just need to trailor it from Florida to Cali.

seth hartman I didn't come from necessarily a truck family, but definitely a hot-rod/racing family. I did have a 67' LWB small-window that I was looking to build with my dad, but due to a financial situation I had to let it go. I had a very similar drivetrain in mind as well, or at least a fuel dumping, ground thumping old school build. One day! Stuff like this gives me hope!

Petition needs to be made for Hert to get a C10 for a daily. It fits him REALLY well. Slap his turbo motor in it with a 6L80 behind it and it also becomes a tow rig too!
That answers my question from yesterday please devote a entire series of Darnall building it!

Hert needs a 70's short bed, semi dropped, big fat wide hot boy wheels, ls turbo.
Everybody does short beds. Long beds are much more stable, they ride better, and when you spin them around they're much easier to control.

Hert, I think you should drop that motor in either a C10 of similar year to this (67-72), or an F100. There's nothing classier than an old pickup. Put it on air and you can be styling and daily drive it without breaking your spine too!

I had this same truck with the 400 in it when I was 16. Burnouts for days! They are massive and them being able to do this in that small space is great!
