Very well done! I'm not installing a light or switch panel, yet. I watched because I'm mounting a radio faceplate in the sunglasses holder and wanted to see how to run the wires. Now that I've watched this, I'm kinda motivated to install the light kit. Thank you to you and to the person that said "nice" when you tested the sunglasses holder. 🙂
Appreciate the video @jacobsupgrades. Well done. The only value add I have to throw in... there is a nice path for the wires a little further aft when making the initial run in the overhead liner that lets you avoid having to worry about the wires path being in the way altogether. Literally about 9 inches further back and then up to where you did. Again, great video.
I ran the wires through the grommet under the driver side dash and put my relay to the driver side of the intake in the engine bay. The wires run low and out of the way and the relay is accessible at the top.
Since the battery is located on passenger side why did you use the Drivers side A pillar and not the passenger side A pillar? It would be a shorter path to the battery by going down passenger side A pillar through the firewall and then to battery. Am I missing something?
@rickheis9748, The existing grommets on the passenger side were full and would not allow for new wiring to pass through. I don't have the provided instructions anymore but I think they even mention to go down the driver side. It would be nice if there was room and access to the passenger side grommets though. Your truck may be different.
Seems like the camera operator focused shots on your head, instead of on the cuts that need to be made. Most seem to be out of frame. I can tell you knew what you were doing but cannot see the actual operations. Not much to be done for this one, but for future videos, please have them focus in the work more than on your face.

@Michael Neals, I paid $129 back in May of 2020 for this switch panel. I'm sure the cost has gone up some since then. Reach out to Brett for updated pricing. He has all sorts of switch type selections and colors along with different logos that can be laser engraved.
At 8:38 he said, "...emergency brake...". LOL Dude! Where's the surfboard rack? $1,000 says no where in the manual for that truck, or ANY other, does it say "emergency brake". LMFAO!!! That is what is called a "Parking Brake". The only other brake on that truck is the "Service Brake". Dude, go back to the beach! Video was alright up until you started to describe things that don't exist. I would have thumbed up, but Dude! Sweet! BRA!
Best music on car video we need more like this
Thanks @Jolly Ranch!

Did I miss the second part of this video where you ran the wire through the firewall to battery etc..?
@steverow58, I show this in a different video below where I wire it up to a relay and light bar.
