All hail Bob and Lee !!
Bob James. The man is beyond genius, he's a fucking marvel of nature. His work has been sampled in the Hip-Hop world more times than any would care to count:
TRANSCENDANT
bob & lee = perfect combination!!! ^^
Indeed, a timeless "CLASSIC"!!! Also, I'm a HUGE fan of Mr. Nathan East but, this dude right here is VERY good also!!! That BASS is MEAN!!👌👍👏👏👏🙌❤💯
that's Anthony Jackson to you sir, I'm a big fan! He's the one who played bass in Chaka Khan's WATCHA GONNA DO FOR ME! Have a good listen, it's right here on UA-cam 😊
This is it! Bob James at his best... I luve the groove that Harvey Mason lays down.
i still have this on vinyl from the orignal recording by bob james.it sounds great today as did in the 70's
this never gets old....classic
What an amazing band and slamming track! The groove is fat and I cant get over how good Lee sounds! Always love Ernie on sax! He is one of the most underrated monsters on the planet!!
RIP Coconut Grove.
this is the NUTS!!
What about how Mr Mason plays that hi-hat @ 0.53. That is pure musicianship, mastering the instrument, so much class in such small details!
DX piano sound amazing!
Live like natural rhodes!!!
Good music has NO expiration date
harvey mason on drums
Would you pls share same examples of samples?
just need nathan east and we have fourplay
Is that Abe Laboriel who is on the bass?
Rifqi Daffa In fact, its Anthony Jackson, both are awesome.
I think it's simply Yamaha Disklavier - piano with samples...
Shameful to say this, but true none the less, you'll never see an "american idol" type of show for this kind of musicianship.
nathan is good but anthony is one of the best bass players in history....
