I remember Triton coming out with this center console when BASS had a series when the anglers would fish the tourney early and race their boats on a corse later in the day. It was an entertaining concept that I knew wouldn’t last. I believe Ranger pulled out fairly quickly. I wonder why? Lol
I had one of these several years ago. The video is definitely not fake and it is indeed a Triton. The stock Johnson 225 HO would top out well into the 80s. It’s a dangerous boat on long strait runs, you better know what you are doing when it starts walking or you are going swimming ... or worse.

Also to fix the chimewalking, Grandpa got a hydraulic jack plate installed and was able to take out just about all the chimewalking in it.
Jeff Wellman in nautical terms it’s referenced as ‘chine walking’. Chine walking is a condition that, in general, high powered, higher speed, mostly flat bottom boats can get into, when 99% of the boat is out of the water, skimming along on the outdrive, and the boat will tip from side to side, as one chine touches the water, the force causes the boat to tip the other way...as the other chine touches the water, the force causes the boat to tip back, and so on and so on.
Best comment! Them flying carp be hurting at 100. I know no one has ever thought of this :) ...but I can't help but think carrying a 12ga shotgun onboard would be fun. The shooter wouldn't even have to yell, "Pull!"
Not play in the steering. When driving that fast you are balancing the entire boat on the prop. When you do that the boat tries to "chine walk" and the movement in the wheel is the driver keeping it steady.
I had a 1988, 18 ft. Invader bowrider, with a 150 Mariner Magnum outboard, that would top out at 68 mph, and that was chiming on top of the waves, almost went air born too, once stright up to the sky, from huge wake on the Sassafras river, off the eastern shore of the Chesapeake bay, came back down, engine first, all ok, never again. Do you slow down below 50 to keep your car between the lines on the highway too? Those are way less than 20 feet apart.
Those posts (bridge pylons) are about 40ft apart.

Cable. Bc of the play
You would have to have hydraulic with cable the torque of that motor would pull the steering wheel out of you hands
