      If u ever got room for one more on the weekend hit me up, I got my own rod, experienced, don't do dope and willing to pitch in for gas and whatever. I got a 14 ft aluminum but alittle sketched to hit the ocean and don't got 200 for a party boat,usually wait for the river run

      Very cool Troy. I always appreciate these comments. I love teaching kids how to fish and knowing they are watching my videos makes it special. Thats why I try and keep my videos PG and informative, and always try and show how to handle fish properly. Thanks for watching my channel. Salmon is best august/ early September along the sf coast. Its hot now but fish are moving a lot. Those months they are all along the coast in 30-100' of water.

    Very nice I have 14 foot valco that I fish in tomales bay for halibut, now that ocean would of been great for me, always wanted to see how it was done. Someday, still a little intimidating by the whole process. When I am solo out there, I have a water proof marine radio on me, in case I go overboard I can attempt to call the coast guard from the water.

  • @standish92k
    @standish92k 4 роки тому

    Good reminder on the Coho. I've actually seen them in the kelp when freediving. Pretty cool. How bad is parking at the launch? How about when you came back in ? My fear is not getting a parking spot.

    • @ChrisPfish2
      @ChrisPfish2  4 роки тому

      yeah you forget about the coho, until you catch one. Thats so cool seeing them in the kelp, I bet you see steelhead too? Parking is brutal. I got there 545 and main lot already filled. Got one of the last spots on the dirt hill. When I came back at 830 no a single boat there, everyone was on the water. Its my fear too, next time I will go even earlier. Thanks for watching!

    • @standish92k
      @standish92k 4 роки тому

      @@ChrisPfish2 I haven't seen the Steelies in the kelp yet. The cohos were in Santa Barbara in about 40 feet of water. Looks like I am going to have to take days off to hit it out there. I'm sure it's impossible on Saturday/Sunday right now.

    hey man, love watching the content but what happens to the rubber band after you hook up? I know we all run the risk of losing tackle when we fish, but this seems like it's needlessly adding plastics to our oceans? Gutted to lose a camera man! What a shame!

    • @ChrisPfish2
      @ChrisPfish2  4 роки тому

      yeah for sure I hear you about the rubber band. Let me find something else that works. If that hook with the rubber band goes into the fish you get the rubber band back, but still i get the point. I dont understand how sinker release weights are still legal. I feel like the environmentalists must not know or something. Seems like common sense that shouldnt be allowed. Thats why I paid for downriggers. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment!

    Us Alaskans are cracking up! You have nothing even close to our fishing! Why you think we have so many Washington Oregon and your Cali guides coming up here???

    From the under water camera footage it looks like the salmon are attracted to the bait but turned off by the smell, probably from your hands when you were handling it. I heard its better to spray your hands with WD40 or rub it with dead bait first, to kill your human scent from your hands.

    don't bonk your fish just bleed it. dead fish don't bleed you need a heart beat to pump out the blood. i don't know who started the bonk thing. put water in your bucket half full to keep the fish alive tell it bleeds out. or just cut the gill and drag the fish on a rope beside the boat for five minutes watch for seals.
