- Frank Caliendo on Letterman last night for "Impressionists week". UNBELIEVABLE. Frank is so much better than any of the other impressionists, because he actually does comedy with his impressions!!
He also does an impression of Letterman and Paul!!
And the Robin Williams in the Wizard of Oz thing is absolutely nuts! Try and keep up! I had to watch it 3 times to get all the jokes! - Комедії
Even after all these years this is still one of the best stand up routines I’ve ever seen.

X 2. Caliendo is brilliant.
It is so very strong.
His attention to detail on both the voices and the mannerisms is second to none. His knack for spotting all the important irregularities of speech is second to none, and he really does a great job of tying it all into a stand-up set.
Also, his John Madden is so good that I defy anyone to tell it apart from the real thing.
Don't get me wrong, Frank is incredible, and all these impressions were spot on. With the exception of Norm McDonald. I just didn't feel that one.
That Robin Williams impersonation was 110% correct, even with the pause and final punchline. Brilliant work!

The genius of Frank Caliendo isn't just how great his impressions are or even that the jokes are hilarious. It's the way he can seamlessly go from voice to voice, with the facial expressions included, and keep it all together

And he's always able to weave the jokes through them all and bring it back around with the callback to a previous, or the original joke.
He’s phenomenal. No one today is close. I could watch him for hours.

Dana Carvey is the king though Frank is unbelievable. More know Frank though for all the sports voices while Dana covers a broad range of Hollywood.

Completely agree. Even on his impressions where he comparatively doesn't get the voice down that well (the Norm Macdonald and Jeff Goldblum are ehh...), I still laugh out loud at the context of why he's bringing those people into the routine.

I've been watching the same impressions from Frank for years. but they just never get old for some reason. Especially the Pres. Bush.

Frank was and is brutally brilliant with his impressions.
This guy is so talented and funny and smart. It is amazing that he’s not more famous than what he is truly amazing how this guy isn’t blowing up all over the place.
He wasn't more famous because he wasn't controversial. He didn't cheat on his wife, he didn't beat hit kids, he didn't cheat on his taxes, or yell woke BS.
He was a normal good guy and the media can't make money off of someone like that.
Caliendo’s is the best Bush impressionist. Someone he got the pitch perfectly.

The way he instinctively switches between characters is remarkable. And they really are more characters than impressions the way he's able to embody all the mannerisms and dialogue to go along with it. Supremely talented.
If you look up "knocking it out of the park," this is the definition. I've been watching impressionists for over 40 years, and Caliendo does what many others don't. He gives his voices good material. He does a funny President Bush without touching on any political stuff. But in this bit, it's the linking device of Madden and his illustrator that pulls it all together. Excellent.

I've seen Caliendo live and my buddy and I couldn't stop laughing. Our wives didn't get a lot of his impressions and/or jokes, but my buddy and I got them all. We were in stitches the whole night. He truly is the best impressionist I've ever seen or heard.

This is the first time I’ve seen a GOOD robin Williams impression - the man was near impossible to impersonate correctly.
Jimmy Fallon did a phenomenal Robin Williams impression on SNL _Celebrity Jeopardy_ . Watch it.
A date and I saw Frank's show in a small comedy club in the early 2000s when he was first catching on. It was one of those clubs that don't even have much of a stage, the acts can and sometimes do just wander around among the tables and play off the audience. It was a very entertaining show. After the show as the crowd exited through the club lobby, Frank had a table set up to meet and greet and sell copies of his CD, autograph optional. He came across as very personable and down to earth. As my date and I were leaving a nearby restaurant, we were pulling out of the parking lot and saw Frank standing by himself on the street corner waiting for the light to change, apparently walking back to his hotel. It was hard to not root for him as his career really took off soon thereafter.
I met him in 2006 after his show. He shook my hand very nice guy. First celeb I ever met.
Caliendo did Dubya's mannerisms so well, you didn't even need to hear one syllable of Texas drawl to recognize his impression of Bush 43.

It's not just the insane impressions, but the genius content, too.
I've received a lot of praise for my voice acting and impressions. but frank is something so different and so amazing that i dont have (and probably never will have) anything on him. his Seinfeld impressions make me cry with laughter if only at their quality
