I've been collecting since I started playing in 1962.. I never sold any but I gave away a dozen or more to close friends and family members.. There are worse habits.. Old antique Cars, motorcycles, guitars, and firearms are useful works of fine art.. I still have my 1978 Alvarez 12 string that I bought new..🍷😎
@idessaoutlaw i started in 72 and have given a bunch away and sold a few too. I think i have a list somewhere of the ones that got away prob 50 or 60. I would rather give them away then sell them ..you also correct about old cars, guns, cars..whatever keeps us above ground. thanks for the view and nice comment . Jake
I have a pile of Gibsons and Fenders but I like all the weird rare instruments of all kinds too.. I also enjoy repairing and modifying them.. I still have my 71 Les Paul Deluxe Tobacco Burst and my 66 Fender Super Reverb Amp.. I bought a new Gibson Les Paul Deluxe Gold Top in 2015 and a new Marshall stack and Amp head.. and a Orange Crush 120 combo 2x12 amp..but I usually play my little Fender Sidekick or Bullet Reverb amps in the house. Keep up the good work. I enjoy your videos. I just found you tonight by accident or the AI algorithm..😎👍
@idessaoutlaw Wow! It sounds like we have a lot in common. I also have a soft spot for the odd ball stuff as well. it is always a good learning experience to see how they were made and how the feel and sound. thanks for the views and comments! I am glad you found my channel ..Jake
@benallmark9671 you are very kind, Ben! I am glad that people appreciate this kind of stuff! I often wonder if there are many people with the same affliction. I can think of worse addictions. Some leave you with empty containers, and some just a pile of ashes. I have certainly drank and smoked a few guitars in my lifetime. I wish I had bought guitars in hindsight. I was a slow learner. haha. I'm glad it's behind me. thanks again for the views and nice comments! Jake
Inspiring 😊wonderful collection and studio facility. Envious while also a bit relaxing not feeling as much a hoarder than I did prior to watching your videos. Thank You Kindly ✌️🫶
Cool collection of peaveys you’ve got there- people have sometimes looked down their nose at Peaveys but I remember when a LOT of the top country guys shredded on them and I believe they were made in USA- Great video!
Spectacular collection, Jake! I like how you chose items that interest you rather than as an investment, demonstrated by your knowledge of the idiosyncrasies of every instrument and amp. Plus, you have grandpa's mandolin.
@TooLooze Thanks! I appreciate your support always! I only measure the value by the sound and playability. That old mandolin is really special for sure. my gibson lgo was also his too. I am very fortunate to still have this stuff. I try my best to keep it all in working order, and I just love to play them . thanks again for the views and comments! Jake
Thanks for part 2 it was awesome… from 1929 until 1938 Recording King was made by Gibson, the L on the lap steel case could be for Lifton who also made guitar cases for Gibson. I found some cool keepers at garage sales and flea markets including a 1956 Rickenbacker model 100 A and a Paulino Bernabe made in Madrid Spain Classical guitar. My favorite acoustic guitar is a mid 70’s F 375 ( Martin D 35 style ) Brazilian book matched back and sides with solid Spruce top …. Thanks for the great video
@robertfoster1339 Thanks for the view and comment/info.. I thought gibson made those recording kings, I was curios about the stamped letter on the case latches, too. my guess was lifton, but that is as far as I made it..lol..sounds like you and I have a lot in common, scouring the yard sales and fleas for gear..thanks again. Jake
@jayfurness6695 mine is tube, but they did make some solid state amps with same knobs. I had a Princeton chorus that was solid state and looked like the twin..
@@guitarhoarder1972 I hate the auto spell that makes me type like am idiot. This was a small amp, had ONE 12 inch speaker. Was very loud but didn’t sound like solid state. It was. If I ever seen another one? I would buy it. Thank you for responding Have a great day
Nothing but cheap junk. You should check out my vintage Gibson collection and yes I own three of the most collectable Gibson's 1959 standard, 1960 standard and 1964 SG special.
@rexmasters1541 Hahaha.. I looked at your channel. You have no videos ! Post a video of your bursts so we can all see them. I have probably given away more guitars than you have owned. thanks for the view. now troll on!

You sure do have a lot of crap, nice to have space to store it all. That Alvarez your dad bought in 78 looks really nice.
I wouldn't call it crap.
