80% of this build: “Everybody says, don’t do ‘XYZ’ ever…I did it anyway….” You shan’t be shackled by the bonds of tyranny! Gorgeous build and awesome that you got to collaborate with Cam. Cheers!!
Never knew that my enjoyment of watching a man make epoxy river tables would turn into my enjoyment of watching a different man make epoxy river guitars 😂.
Every once in a while YT gets the algorithm recommendations right. This is one of those times. As a musician who also likes woodworking and Blacktail Studio, this was a joy to watch your creativity with these!
I am not a guitar player or a woodworker. I watch videos like this because I work in human rights and it helps me decompress. I love Cam's work, and seeing you take his off cuts and turn them into something so wildly creative, beautiful, and, ultimately *functional* was absolutely masterful. Now I'm off to watch your other videos!
I have nightmares about awkward situations and boy that firewood moment when Cam was messing with y’all is going to occupy this little tiny corner of my brain for a while.
I can not believe you don't have over 1,000,000 subscribers with the level of detail both in storytelling and voiceover, but the work. ive been a fan of blacktail for many years and as a fan, its so cool to see the connection you made. Much love. Amazing video
As a hobbyist woodworker and an hobbyist guitar player this video scratched an itch I didn't even knew I had. The amount of work behind these guitars is outstanding and I can't do anything else to congratulate you for your craftsmanship. Came here for the interesting thumbnail and title and staying for the Bob Ross of guitar building 🤟
Unbelievable!! I’ve been playing guitar for 20 years, and been mesmerized by wood & epoxy projects like these for the past 7 or 8. I’m absolutely in love with these, you’ve done such an incredible job!
Amazing. What else can I say. I’ve been a subscriber of Blacktail Studios for quite a long time and it’s so cool that you wanted to create an instrument inspired by his designs. I love the idea of the denim add to the inlays. Great job. I’m looking forward to new videos and have just keyed up to watch your back catalog. Looking forward to maybe some happy accidents?
Holy Crap! I was looking over my suggestions and I saw the image of these two finished guitars. One of these has the most unique body shape I have ever seen and it is stunningly beautiful. No way that I was going to skip watching this video after seeing the preview of this amazing instrument. What an inspired and talented Luthier you are!
Love that you are honest about things you do/don’t, love/hate, messed up or succeeded wildly. As a luthier who is just starting out and thinking of doing content as well, I love seeing honesty and reaction to the normal ups and downs of building. You’ve been super inspiring to me and look forward to watching more!
This build has been so awesome to watch! Watched it with my son, as we love BlackTail’s shows also…great work! This was worth the watching! Can’t wait to see more.
I know UA-cam recommended this because I enjoy the Blacktail studio videos. My son just took up guitar, so watching the creation of a beautiful Blacktail guitar was fun. Will get the son's opinion next
I’ve been playing guitar for 32 years but I have never seen an electric guitar with so much detail. Beautiful! BTW, I’m a big fan of compound radius necks.
I’ve seen so many different videos of diy guitar builds, but nothing has ever compared to the beauty of these two pieces and the production quality behind the video!
I'm so jealous, I've been putting off asking Cam for scraps for a guitar build ever since he mentioned it in a video. Looks like you got the good stuff, and made great use of it! Great work
If you’d like, I’ll take a picture of the leftover scraps I have from him and frame it for you 😂😂 in all seriousness, I’m very lucky that he was so generous. Thanks!!
Gotta say, crossover with one of my fav creators has been a pleasant surprise. I love voiceover craftsmanship vids as well, so will be sticking around. Thanks!!
New woodworking channel unlocked! 😁 Those Guitars look absolutely awesome and I think you nailed the homage to Blacktail Studio (big fan and probably why I got to this video in the first place) I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work!
I’m pretty jealous that you got to visit Cam’s studio. I’ve been a follower of his for years now. I absolutely love this build and the classy look of Bastogne walnut and black epoxy. Side note: for the longest time I thought it was bathstone walnut because I had never seen it spelled out. I’m for sure going to binge your other guitar making videos now.
Just 6k subs and you went to all that trouble? Damn dude - I hope your channel does really well soon from this - this kind of hard work deserves recognition. As a person from the UK it blows my mind how casual people in the US are about driving long distance, you can get from one end of our country to the other in about 12 hours. My brother who lives in the US "casually" offered to drive a 30 hour round trip to get me from Ohio where I was with friends for Thanksgiving, to NYC where he lives for the Xmas holidays. I was like "you're nuts, I'll take an Amtrack" which at 15 hours was the LONGEST single journey I've ever taken in my life - and have to say I enjoyed it. Edit - what's that guitar music near the end - it's so soothing and relaxing - I could listen to that for hours.
Hard work and dedication is the route I’m taking! And yes we’re crazy with our driving and by no means did either my buddy Sean nor I believe this was just a casual drive 😂 luckily the American West is absolutely beautiful to drive through.
Like you, I admire dedication and passion. My son did something similar a couple weeks ago driving from Montreal Canada to St-Louis Missouri to get a bike fitting jig he couldn’t find anywhere. Did the round trip over 4 days and he was so pumped about the whole thing, went straight to install it in his shop. That being said, I agree, that king of workmanship deserve recognition, this is amazing work. I just subscribed and I hope your channel grows beyond your wildest dream (which, I guess, must be pretty wild..!!)
Stunning pair of guitars. The nods to Blacktail (another channel I watch way too much of) is well incorporated. A subtle "If you know, you know". 100% with you on throwing the rule book away on having only one focus for the finished guitar like the top. I want to say "oh, that's cool" at least a dozen times when looking at a guitar. Yep - second bandsaw is not overkill - go for it. Same with the clamps - you can NEVER have too many - plus it'll help when you are making multiple guitars. If you have trouble finding your p-hole - perhaps go see a Dr. Love to join the giveaway - but shipping to Australia may be too much. Hope the winner loves it and hands it down through the generations.
Thanks a lot! If I had the space, I would’ve already gotten the second bandsaw lol as far as shipping to Australia, we will be doing another custom build giveaway around February and it’ll be shipping worldwide! So stay tuned! And thanks a lot for your input!
I’ve watched Blacktail Studios for a long time, and was thrilled to watch through your related build. Gorgeous work on both guitars, you’ve made another fan here!
Absolutely beautiful work. Seeing a blend of two of my favorite youtube passtimes [woodworking videos and guitar videos] has been such a pleasure. Really enjoyed this, man!
I discovered this video and channel over these Christmas holidays, as I was falling asleep. The video was so damn good I both fell asleep due to the soothing nature of your voice and the work, and rewatched it over the next days several times so as not to miss a thing, the quality of the build, production, everything is elite. Honestly man, if I could only watch 10 UA-cam videos a year, this would definitely be one of them. That sound test at the end made the hairs in my arm stand up!
Wow!! Loved every second!! Truly enjoyed your transparency of success and failures. The knobs segment was inspiring!! You’re a talent of the ages. Keep on with creating.
Been watching Blacktail Studios for a long time, big fan of his. This video just popped up in my feed and I was hooked. You’ve created a beautiful, playable piece of art.
I am a fan of Cam at Blacktail Studio. This video popped up on my feed and I just had to watch it. You sir are an artist, that is a couple of amazing looking guitars!
This is probably the most beautiful guitar I've ever seen! I love watching quality woodworking and have watched more than a few blacktail studio builds, but this was the first I'd seen of your stuff and I'm truly impressed. My girlfriend plays the guitar and has started to teach me to play recently, so you've definitely earned another subscriber! Excited to see more to come
Super impressive! I love it when talented people like you take something that would potentially be scrap to others and then turn it into a beautiful piece of art. Keep up the awesome work Sir.
That guitar looks amazing. I very much enjoy watching people craft guitars like this and stumbled upon your channel today, and I must say you really deserve more subscribers, your work is phenomenal!
Your work is amazing. Your collab with Blacktail introduced me to your channel. I’ve watched a few different guitar build channels but your cinematography and attention to detail is great. Very enjoyable to watch. Looking forward to many more builds!
So Cam not only makes entertaining videos, but watching them gave me this channel which is also incredible. Knobs were such a cool touch, and you can shred.
Man, this looks incredible!! I've been a fan of Blacktail studio for a while, and it's super cool to see how he inspired you for this beautiful piece of art 🤌
I have always loved blacktail style tables. The style translates perfectly to the guitar. Love it!!!! You can really tell the attention to detail you put into the guitars!
That is pretty amazing. It’s great to see young people grab a passion for “old-world” style craftsmanship. It’s dying knowledge and skills. This would have been something that would have grabbed my attention and sent me on a trek of discovery back in my youth. Great job on the guitar. I think the neck is really incredible. And the denim inlay button/dots look like mother of pearl almost. It’s all amazing.
Oh dude sat and watched the whole thing with my wife, that is incredible work. My uncle is a blues guitarist and I've always wanted to have a guitar made for him. DEFINITELY ENTERING 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽. Fantastic work
I'm watching almost all your videos! Seeing this type of work is my passion before, during and after work. And yes, although it sounds superb, I want that work of art for myself! Greetings from Nicaragua!
I've been watching Cam for a long time now and it's amazing to see how well you were able to emulate the character of some of his pieces! These guitars are gorgeous and, if not yours, I so hope to play a guitar of this quality one day.
I was so shocked you only had 13,000 subs. This is quality stuff and personally perfectly fits the style of content I enjoy to watch, good mix of jokes and seriousness, all while being entertaining. Well done man
I am a big fan of Cam and Blacktail Studios. I got sent here from them and am so glad I was. I am not a luthier or high end wood worker, but I do work with my hands, fabricate stuff and also play guitar. This video was nicely produced and well done. Thanks a bunch!
Just gorgeous! Thankful that the algorithm brought my love of Blacktail and guitars together in this video! Subscribed and eagerly putting my name in for the drawing!
I seriously can’t believe this. I’m blown away. I’d lose my mind to write with one of these. The creativity at every step of this is just wild. I’ve watched this video 2 times in a row and I’m just stuck haha
Blackmail is a really great channel. He also doesn’t bow to what he ‘should’ do and tries, makes mistakes, adjusts and learns. That’s what makes him and you great. Beautiful work.
@@TheWoodenHobbyistdid Cam pay you to say that? 😂 Just keeping the bit going. Great work on the guitar though! Looks beautiful and if I was Cam, I'd definitely reconsider that offer of keeping one. Would look amazing hanging on the wall as an art piece. 👏🏽
Watching Cam try to pull a fast one was so funny. I've been watching him for a long time, I love your format and will be watching many more of your videos. Great job , an enjoyable watch.

Just speechless. Very beautiful guitars. Utterly speechless. You must be so proud of yourself after every build.
Thank you! I’m pretty happy with most of them
Very nice
Normally the UA-cam algorithm is trash, but every so often something new comes on my feed that is special. This is one of those times. Great work
I’m glad you’re enjoying it! Thanks!
Couldn’t agree more, thanks for this
🤘🏼🎸
Love the woodworking, cool guitars. Have to agree @ryanhare3551 on that sometimes the algorithms work well 👍12" fretboards do it for me🤘
Hell yeah algorithm can be dope sometimes
Anyone willing to drive 30 hrs for some wood deserves all of the blessings coming to them. Great job!!
Well, I also got to meet Cam 😂😂 thanks!!
And that was 1 way.
Yep!
thats what she said
Been watching Blacktail for years and so glad this popped up on my feed. Another true craftsman. Great work!
Glad you enjoyed it!
80% of this build: “Everybody says, don’t do ‘XYZ’ ever…I did it anyway….” You shan’t be shackled by the bonds of tyranny! Gorgeous build and awesome that you got to collaborate with Cam. Cheers!!
Everybody’s rules get broke in my shop, you should see what happens when I don’t have a push stick at the table saw. And thanks!!
🤘
That Jonny Sins joke was quality, well done sir! 😂
I like to keep it casual 🤘🏼🎸
I knew that I was NOT the only person out there that always thought Cam looked just like the....errr...Pro 😂
😂😂
Never knew that my enjoyment of watching a man make epoxy river tables would turn into my enjoyment of watching a different man make epoxy river guitars 😂.
I guess we all have our obsessions!
As a woodworker and guitar player the algorithm seems to have perfectly understood what I come to youtube for - very cool content!
Awesome! Glad you enjoyed it

I have nightmares about awkward situations and boy that firewood moment when Cam was messing with y’all is going to occupy this little tiny corner of my brain for a while.
Think about how I felt after that drive 😂
I’m glad the UA-cam algorithm recommended your channel to me, I’ve a long term follower of Cam and I’m happy to see more woodworking content
Welcome! Thanks for stopping by!
I can not believe you don't have over 1,000,000 subscribers with the level of detail both in storytelling and voiceover, but the work. ive been a fan of blacktail for many years and as a fan, its so cool to see the connection you made. Much love. Amazing video

Came here for the interesting thumbnail and title and staying for the Bob Ross of guitar building 🤟
Haha, thanks for the Bob Ross comparison! I’m just a guitar builder trying to create beautiful things!
I hope Cam sees this and approves. Awesome.
He did! Thanks!

Thanks! My whole life is built around happy accidents lol
As a machinist of 23 yrs, I love your use of the correct word "radii".
Great looking guitars, and great video!
I did it just for you. Thanks 😂
This isn't just an instrument. It's art. Beautiful...
Thank you!
Holy Crap! I was looking over my suggestions and I saw the image of these two finished guitars. One of these has the most unique body shape I have ever seen and it is stunningly beautiful. That’s really awesome to hear. I hope you get to putting out content!
Watching your video is such a treat, and I really appreciate how beautifully you've showcased our products. Thank you!
Thanks for sending me them! Much appreciated! They work great!
Glad to see the collab. I have been inspired by black tail for years.
Me too, he's awesome!
This build has been so awesome to watch! Watched it with my son, as we love BlackTail’s shows also…great work! This was worth the watching! Can’t wait to see more.
Thanks for watching! I appreciate the support!
Been a Blacktail fan for years, always a joy when the algorithm brings me to newer creators with awesome projects. Keep up the amazing craftsmanship!
Thanks, much appreciated!
I know UA-cam recommended this because I enjoy the Blacktail studio videos. My son just took up guitar, so watching the creation of a beautiful Blacktail guitar was fun. Will get the son's opinion next
Glad you enjoyed it!
I’ve been playing guitar for 32 years but I have never seen an electric guitar with so much detail. Beautiful! BTW, I’m a big fan of compound radius necks.
Compound radius necks are the best! You're in good company.
Been playing guitar for 40+ yrs, we NEED people like you to continue this artist feel in building guitars!! Wishing you all the continued success!! :)
That’s awesome, thanks for the support!
Fantastic-looking guitars. Absolutely beautiful. Your dedication to driving 29+ hours to get the wood shows your commitment to your craft.
Thanks a lot! Yeah I don’t pass up on cool opportunities!
Amazing looking work, that P hole placement is 🔥 And kudos to you for reaching out to Cam. His audience will love this. Respect!
Thanks a lot! P-holes can be a lot of placements
I have loved the tables blacktail studio have made and I can say that a guitar made in the same style is one of the best things I have ever seen!
Thanks! I think it turned out pretty great, too.
I’ve seen so many different videos of diy guitar builds, but nothing has ever compared to the beauty of these two pieces and the production quality behind the video!
Thanks so much! I’m glad you enjoyed it!

I really appreciate that! Thanks a lot! Glad you enjoyed it
Very nice job. I love the innovative approach to combining brass, denim and wood to make the knob. Fantastic!
Thanks, it was a fun way to use some leftover materials!
New woodworking channel unlocked! 😁
Those Guitars look absolutely awesome and I think you nailed the homage to Blacktail Studio (big fan and probably why I got to this video in the first place)
I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work!
Thank you kindly!
Cam's a great guy - you're in for a treat with the other videos! And thanks a lot!

Part of the joy is in the trips themselves. Thanks a lot!
Well done ❤
Thanks a lot!!
Woah, that looks amazing. Incorporating so many elements of Blacktail's style is such a cool detail that isn't necessary, but really makes it special.
I really appreciate that, glad you noticed!
I'm glad to see young men with a-bit of humor to combat the short comings we have of any type of wood working.
I’m glad you like the humor, keeps things interesting 😂
I can’t believe the possibility of owning one of these guitars exists in real life. 🤩
It does! Good luck in the giveaway!
28:33 dude the reveal is everything... wow
Agreed!
The craftsmanship on display here is top-notch! I'm so glad I found this video. Keep up the great work! Love from Canada
Thanks, I appreciate that!
On the PVA - I've been watching YT builders for quite a long time now - and no reports of it failing. Even with the bigger Luthiers like Crimson guitars, so I think you're safe.
Masking tape ASMR is my favorite Serotonin rush after a long session of fret level/ crown/ polish.
And a sound is amazing ❤
I dig watching Cam's videos. This was an awesome collab.
Thanks a lot!
Love Blacktail Studio, and am really glad YT put this video in my feed. That guitar is stunning. ✨️
Thanks for watching! I appreciate the kind words.
Dude... I never thought I would watch a guitar build. Very VERY cool. Good luck on your future endeavors. I watch Black tail sometimes also.
Much appreciated!
I’ve watched Blacktail Studios for a long time, and was thrilled to watch through your related build. Gorgeous work on both guitars, you’ve made another fan here!
I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Absolutely beautiful work. Seeing a blend of two of my favorite youtube passtimes [woodworking videos and guitar videos] has been such a pleasure. Really enjoyed this, man!

Truly enjoyed your transparency of success and failures. The knobs segment was inspiring!!
You’re a talent of the ages.
Keep on with creating.
Thanks! The knobs were definitely a fun one.
This is just one of the sickest guitar builds i have ever seen, just “wow” is the only word to discribe this, great work man
Thank you!
I have been watching Cam for years and this is super cool! One of the most gorgeous builds I have ever seen.
Thank you so much! Cam is the best!
Been watching Blacktail Studios for a long time, big fan of his. This video just popped up in my feed and I was hooked. You’ve created a beautiful, playable piece of art.
Glad you enjoyed it ! 🤘🏼🎸
I am a fan of Cam at Blacktail Studio. This video popped up on my feed and I just had to watch it. You sir are an artist, that is a couple of amazing looking guitars!
Thanks! I really appreciate you watching.
I'm so impressed with the amount of unique little touches in this project. Beautiful work.
Much appreciated!
The guitars look incredible. That wood is impeccable, and your craftsmanship did it justice.
I appreciate that!
Both of those guitars are absolutely beautiful! The details added to commemorate Blacktail Studio are the icing on the cake.
I’m glad you noticed! They were a lot of fun to put together.
This is probably the most beautiful guitar I've ever seen! I love watching quality woodworking and have watched more than a few blacktail studio builds, but this was the first I'd seen of your stuff and I'm truly impressed. It’s a beautiful build! I admire the attention to detail and patience you’ve shown throughout this project.
Thank you, it was a really fun project to work on!
Just starting picking at my guitar that's been on display for years. Big fan of you and Cam! Yall do amazing work
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoy our work!
I never knew how much I needed to watch guitar woodworking. WHY IS IT SO RELAXING?!?!
It really is something else, isn't it?
Super impressive! I love it when talented people like you take something that would potentially be scrap to others and then turn it into a beautiful piece of art. Keep up the awesome work Sir.
Thank you, it’s what we do!

Thanks for watching! I try to make the process as interesting as possible.
So Cam not only makes entertaining videos, but watching them gave me this channel which is also incredible. Knobs were such a cool touch, and you can shred.
Thanks for watching both channels! It was fun working with some of Cam's off cuts.
Man, this looks incredible!! I've been a fan of Blacktail studio for a while, and it's super cool to see how he inspired you for this beautiful piece of art 🤌
Glad you like it!
I have always loved blacktail style tables. The style translates perfectly to the guitar. Love it!!!! You can really tell the attention to detail you put into the guitars!
I appreciate that! I love making guitars with attention to detail.
Been a longtime fan of Cam and a dreamer of building quality guitars. Match made in heaven. Great video.
Thanks for watching! I love what Cam does too.
Here because I love Cam and his videos. You sir, are indeed the Bob Ross of guitar builders. These guitars are absolutely freaking gorgeous.
Much appreciated!
Thanks! I’m glad you appreciate the details. I’d definitely love to see the craft stay alive
Have been a fan of Blacktail Studios for years. Happy too see something beautiful made from his off cuts
Thanks!
Oh dude sat and watched the whole thing with my wife, that is incredible work. My uncle is a blues guitarist and I've always wanted to have a guitar made for him. DEFINITELY ENTERING 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽. Fantastic work
I’m glad you guys enjoyed it, good luck in the giveaway!
Making something beautiful from scratch is always a joy to watch.
Agreed! Thanks!
Those are genuinely the prettiest electric guitars I've ever seen. Watching this makes me want to build a guitar for myself.
Much appreciated! You definitely should
All the effort that went into building those is truly amazing. It turned out so well!
Thank you so much!
Beautiful work. I’ve been watching Cam for a couple of years and now you are on my watch list!
Thanks! Welcome to the channel!
I love everything about this! Guitar, woodworking, Blacktail Studio, new content. Keep it up!
More to come!
Great job! The attention to details, especially the denim dust is just phenomenal. Can't wait to see what you build next.
Much appreciated!
I'm watching almost all your videos! Seeing this type of work is my passion before, during and after work. And yes, although it sounds superb, I want that work of art for myself! Greetings from Nicaragua!
I really appreciate that!
Your attention to detail is outstanding. Congratulations on the finished guitar. Very well done.
Thank you!
I've been watching Cam for a long time now and it's amazing to see how well you were able to emulate the character of some of his pieces! These guitars are gorgeous and, if not yours, I so hope to play a guitar of this quality one day.
I'm glad you think so! Thanks for the kind words. We will be giving more guitars away in the future 🤘🏼🎸
Both guitars look amazing! I think Cam will be impressed. Great job!!
Thanks a bunch!
I was so shocked you only had 13,000 subs. This is quality stuff and personally perfectly fits the style of content I enjoy to watch, good mix of jokes and seriousness, all while being entertaining. Well done man
I’m glad you like it! Thanks for the support!
Man you ARE the Bob Ross of guitar making, best video I’ve seen in a long long time. Keep up the good work!
Thanks, will do!
I can tell you love doing this, and it's a pleasure to watch. Thanks!
Thanks for watching!
I am a big fan of Cam and Blacktail Studios. I got sent here from them and am so glad I was. I am not a luthier or high end wood worker, but I do work with my hands, fabricate stuff and also play guitar. This video was nicely produced and well done. Thanks a bunch!
I appreciate the kind words and am glad you enjoyed the video!
Really love this collaboration ❤
Beautiful guitars. Congratulations to whomever wins it.🎉
Thanks!
The talent is unmatched! These are beautiful, will absolutely be checking out other videos. Thank you for great content!
Thanks so much, I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Just gorgeous! Thankful that the algorithm brought my love of Blacktail and guitars together in this video! Subscribed and eagerly putting my name in for the drawing!
I appreciate it! Good luck in the drawing!
I've been a fan of Blacktail Studio for a while and I love the collab. You for sure deserve a sub aswell. Great work with these gorgeous guitars!
Thanks for the sub! I really appreciate it!
I seriously can’t believe this. I’m blown away. I’d lose my mind to write with one of these. The creativity at every step of this is just wild. I’ve watched this video 2 times in a row and I’m just stuck haha
I appreciate that! Good luck in the giveaway!
Blackmail is a really great channel. He also doesn’t bow to what he ‘should’ do and tries, makes mistakes, adjusts and learns. That’s what makes him and you great. Beautiful work.
Blackmail is definitely the best channel
@@TheWoodenHobbyistdid Cam pay you to say that? 😂 Just keeping the bit going. Great work on the guitar though! Looks beautiful and if I was Cam, I'd definitely reconsider that offer of keeping one. Would look amazing hanging on the wall as an art piece. 👏🏽
I never realized that this type of build was even out there. Blacktail is a favorite watch of mine and now I feel like this will be as well.
Glad you found it!
thats a really beautiful guitar. when you start with such beautiful material the ceiling is higher, and you hit it. wonderfully done.
I really appreciate that!
Been watching Blacktail for a few years and seeing what you made with his wood is impressive, well done.
Thanks!
Watching Cam try to pull a fast one was so funny. I've been watching him for a long time, I love your format and will be watching many more of your videos. Great job , an enjoyable watch.
I'm glad you liked it! I'll keep making more videos.
Those are 2 of the most beautiful guitars I've ever seen.. just wow! Awesome video.
Thanks!
I love taking down like 5mm of proud wood with a hand plane, makes me feel like a real woodworker who knows what hes doing. Awesome video!
Exactly! 😂😂 thanks!
