They said from the start it would be buggy and they had no idea what they were doing in regards to making a multiplayer game. CDPR just lied and said everything was perfectly fine for the 4 years of development, and hyped it up for 8 years since it was announced. I'll take a game that had a buggy launch and has ironed itself out more or less over a company that just straight up lied and tried to cover up the issues to fool as many people into buying it on release day as possible.

I imagine an alternate reality where this was the actual trailer and they expected the most unplayable game, full of bugs, glitches and bad performances; but they got a good and polished game instead, and the outcome was the same as our reality.
Doesn't matter how good it gets over time or how much they patch it, people will never forget what this game was when it came out and it damaged the reputation of CD Project Red beyond repair.
The only lasting effect this had for CDPR is it showed they stick with their games, fix their mistakes, and know how to make amazing worlds that few can match. @@CampbellBeans Eh. NMS and F76 are close, but they weren't setting any records, like, say, the most pre-ordered game on PC of all time, unlike Cyberpunk. And when it comes to the devs' rep, NMS devs had no rep, while Bethesda's reputation hasn't been good in a long while, whereas CD Projekt were cultivating their "good guys" image for quite some time. So I say Cyberpunk is still way, way more disappointing.

Also, No Man Sky or Fallout 76 weren't removed from Sony's store until further notice, Cyberpunk just was.
