- Watch me try Addis Ethiopian restaurant in Phnom Penh Cambodia. I would highly recommend it, it was delicious and better than places I've tried back in Canada. The portions are big enough to share with someone.

Hey Tom , have you completed college? I think it helps when looking for teaching jobs in Cambodia. I’m interested in taking the same course you took in phen nom penh but it sucks that I didn’t complete my college dec.
No I have nothing except AVSE and I had no teaching experience either. In Cambodia you don’t need a degree. But if you have one you can maybe get more money or get a job over someone else
Thanks for the response
When you decided to move to Cambodia, how much money did you leave Canada with ? Do you think I could get by in Cambodia with 13K my first year after getting my TESOL through AVSE course ?
Yea that’s about right. I’d say maybe 15k because you don’t want to have just enough and then hit zero. Also it’s typical in the first month you spend a bit more maybe exploring or getting things you need, or hotels. But ya that’s about right. Bring a few thousand with you- and then earn 1100 -1200 as a teacher.
My monthly budget is like 900, which is about 11k a year
