Oh and that was a great tip for panning the black sands! Never go in circles, will blow the corner gold right out!

I'd like to get one in australia but postage is so expensive it costs almost as much as the sluice does

Great little sluice box and I'm still envious of your home made clean up sluice. Most people are happy when they don't find poo! lol
    Take care and happy panning!

I have a local test place that has very little gold, too. It’s nice and close though. I never realized that the side scoops on that sluice are open on the ends. I’m surprised that doesn’t pull any dirt out of the side holes in the capture zone. It must have enough of a taper to build pressure. I’m always intrigued by how these fluid bed sluices work and operate.

    I own a recon.
    I found I like to run 3, 5 gallon buckets of 1/4 " crasified
Thrue it and dump the cons in a different bucket once I fill one 5 g bucket with cons I will re run that hole 5 g carefully for a take home concentrate that I pan out at home.
The recon does fill up and packs up with black sands.
Yes gold displaces the sand. But I feel I loose less gold or pack up with blacks.
    Im happy so far.
Now if I step up to a highbanker I'm looking at dream mat or gold hog mini.
I do not like the idea of a gas pump noise.
Electric is for me for sure! So the GH mini may not work.
I have ran across a folding solar blanket/ tarp that is 250 watt 12 v dc which will help a battery a lot on electric pumps.
I use a mini black magic pro for clean up at home.

Great video, I saw another video on that fluid bed sluice and thought to myself, I would spend more time emptying it then running it. Definitely more of a prospecting sluice then a full blown run all day sluice.

Takes less than 30 seconds to clean out and set back in stream.

      @@rightschex146 hi Jay.
I need one between 2 dream mat 60cm×15cm
      And fluid bed same size.
But I don,t know which one is good. The fluide bed is my favorite cause no need to clasifie .
But my qstion is how will it work well in low flow water?
      Please I need your help.
      Thanks and my regards.

I don't know if I would trust your homemade sluce. Once the riffles get full the first couple scoops, the rest I would suspect is running over and out. I would also suggest classifying the material.

What is your recommendation on this product? Looking at getting in to this, and am researching sluice boxes. So far, i'm leaning to Gold Hog or River Rat sd luices....but if this works and doesnt lose gold, the size, weight and clean out is exactly what i'm looking for.
I'm a bit concerned that it just fills up with heavier stuff, and gold could get washed out.
    Thoughts?

No offence but your doing lots wrong. You should of at least seen some colour in your pan at the end, and always do a test pan of ur pile at the end of ur sluice set up before you pull it out of the water for clean out

    • @Dirt30withGeorge

No offence taken. The area I'm testing how the system worked does not have gold. It's just a very close place to do some testing befor I go to a real gold bering area. I have another video where I do a comparison of my old keene sluice and the recon fluid bed in a gold bering area. Thanks and have a blessed day 😁👍
