TIP : i have found building a fire in a building on the far edge of town is a bad idea. its a bad idea because everyone thinks its a good idea so EVERYONE does it. Build it in the center of town because people tend not to look up when they are looting and looking around for other players and zombies. People always look for smoke in the buildings on the edge of town first.
If I'm just building fire for warmth, I go for a heavily wooded area (especially pine trees) in a valley, I have found it helps hide the telltale smoke a bit better. For cooking, however, I just try to smoke a deer or cow in a cabin and vacate the area ASAP
Another one is simply don’t move too much, people see movement more than anything. When you get to a town, observe while staying still, just move your head. I had people walk past me without noticing, whilst people spot movements from far away
Something less obvious: If you are always moving through forest, it's much easier for someone to follow you undetected. This is especially true for 3rd person servers. If you're being followed and you sprint across an open field, your follower has to make a difficult choice: Will they sprint after you and risk being spotted in the field, or take the long way around and likely lose track of you?
Bro these are so damn helpful, you might not get millions of views but this is gonna help millions of players. Thanks so much bro, definitely gonna be a long term sub

That old "stay and watch" just reminds me so much of old DayZ, where people wouldn't zigzag like stupid and would actually behave exactly like normal people.
When meeting players with weapons and not trying to kill them. I'll ask them to holster their weapon and I'll do the same right after them. I found this helps to de-escalate a situation and creates a more friendly environment to talk in with players. If also for whatever reason your traveling with someone you don't trust. Always keep him in sight and always position yourself advantageously incase something bad does occur.
I once found a pair of jeans at the security office on the south entrance to vybor airfield I immediately got my AK and scanned the tree line and walked through the foliage to the bunks, found a guy trying to fight off an infected, I shot him once and he went unconscious Finished off him and the infected with my silenced Glock, got backed into a corner by those armored infected and blasted my way out with the AK on full auto, grabbed the guy’s gear and went home because I know someone must have heard those gunshots
I still kind of hate how my friends called me a nomad why do you like to be running around the map they kept making fun of me until I showed them videos of all the people I killed while I’m still the same character I never camped I just played like a marine run towards the gunfire and fuck shit up The worst is when it’s raining and you’re trying to eat food and keep warm and someone opens the door and shoots the shit out of you i’m talking about vanilla to I got lucky and found it aKSU That’s my favorite to take people out with sometimes I take other people stuff but a lot of times I build a fireplace and I burn their guns same with basis when I read them I’ll burn their crap because it’s just so stupid To have 40 guns and there’s only one man
Agreed. Very fun to play nomadic. I personally play a semi-nomadic play style with dozens of stashes and small incognito bases which I call "depots". There's a certain level of immunity to raids when you never centralize your loot.
@@notoriginal8450 I know sometimes when I play I feel like a different person when I play with my friends or My Wife and I’m like is this you by the car they say no when I just murdered a innocent person A lot of times when people are friendly to then there’s massive shoot outs because of me
@@tylerferguson1 I can kinda get that. If you got buddies then you don't really have a motivation to talk to a stranger that might brain you later. I use to run with PvP fiends a lot and they're almost looking for an excuse to fight or shoot at someone. Totally fine it's just their thing. I've always been more interested in RP side of things and try to be friendly if possible. Even if it puts me at large risk. To each their own, it's all good fun.
That works too! Just showing ideas that you can adapt to your liking. The reason for Smoke was simply they are sort of "throw away items" if you have too many, so easy to leave as a trap that may or may not help, nothing of high value lost.
Set up a light source and observe nearby from a safe location. When a player runs in you'll see them and have them by suprise. If you're caught off guard in a 2 story building and trapped by players; you can fire a loud gun a few times and lure zombies in. When the zombies rush in attack the players, or wait it out. Walking through fields is a bad idea.
This is the first time I've seen someone else switch up the common subscribe-reminder animation thingy with something more interesting/fitting to the theme of their videos. 😙
Another thing I'm learning.. if you don't get good at shooting.. and don't hit your guy first "and to the head" you won't stand a chance! Your dead! Edit: that being when they won't communicate with you. They just start shooting which i find bull crap when they know I'm most likely noobie and just exploring. more friendly than threatening. I'm mostly after the zombies. I guess them guys are just overprotective of that big teir loot?
I'm starting to learn my lesson.. just being kinda careless of other players seeing me or hearing me while getting further and further up north. And don't see anyone for a while either until well.. your dead! No room for error once you encounter anyone! Even the damn zombies are tougher up there!
It is plagued with bugs, but not as much as it used to be. BH is currently very actively updating the game every quarter. Bugs aside the game is like crack.
The bugs aren't that bad, but can be very frustrating to die to one. It's the type of game where the first 50 hours can be really tough, you'll die, you'll get better and more geared, die again. If you can push through it and learn the game, it's extremely fun and no other game compares.
I've got thousands of hours in this game. I've only been screwed by a bug a couple of times. Logging out and back in clears the most common bugs, like the hand bug or the dead inventory bug. It is all worth putting up with. This game is brutal but when you get the hang of it, nothing else compares. Like I still have fond memories of adopting a couple of freshies and teaching them how to do all the basic stuff, like making a fire, and avoiding illness. We made a pumpkin farm outside Polyana. I played 3 sessions with those guys, and we really got to know each other, and told many jokes and stories. I've also played with a disabled veteran who really needed a sympathetic ear. The point is, you never know who you're going to run into. I've been betrayed, I've been kidnapped, robbed. I've also done all that to others. The game is very big, and I don't mean the map - I mean the possibilities. There's a thousand ways to play the game, and they are all perfectly valid, and they all come with their own risks.
Very worth the play. It has its problems. Nothing is perfect, but I've always considered the positives out weigh the negatives in this game. I'd recommend getting into the official DayZ discord server or one of the many community servers for help in learning the ropes.
