*Whistleblowers need to be provided body guard protection while their testifying is ongoing.*
They certainly need financial compensation for their risks & stress encountered for speaking truth to Power in America. --------- Psalm 27.
We need whistleblowers in Congress more so than Boeing.
And after
If RFK can’t get approval for security from Biden, you think a whistleblower will? No chancezx
*He needs professional medical help. Planes aren't buildings, and they shouldn't have been built to last. The life cycle of civil planes is roughly 30 years! Every plane has a timeline for all required maintenance according to the time it spends in the air. Did this 'Whistleblower' tell you that?*
We, need to get rid of Black Rock and Vanguard!....PERIOD!
Someone is about to fall down the stairs or have a heart attack.
Like Jeffrey, the cameras won’t work and he will all of a sudden be in alived
Not likely, too inconvenient. Did it not strike you how convenient it was for the motel, John Barnett was found in the trunk of his Dodge Ram ? All the police had to do was collect his packed bags from his room, and take away the truck.
Falling down the stairs would make the building a crime scene, and a heart attack would imply an autopsy. As it was, the motel would simply give the room to the next customer.
My friend died in the boeing crash over ethiopia. Very thankful for whistleblowers coming forward.
Richard Feynman's approach to exposing these vital safety issues needs to be studied and implemented.
No-one could fail to understand his ice water demonstration of the Space Shuttle 'o' rings.
That is, a simple, visual approach that the layman can immediately understand.
Lastly, accountability, whether it leads to civil or criminal consequences, needs to be applied, from the Boardroom on down, and be seen to be done. Reward for whistle blowers should also be applied, with the same rigour.
Enough deception, sticking plasters and whitewash. People have behaved disgracefully, as well as some who have acted heriocally, and this needs to become headline news and easily accessed public knowledge. Do your jobs, with as much pride as the workers, "Executives".
I am so sorry for your loss, Emily!❤
Only Problem is US Senate will do NOTHING but flap their jaws. Your Friend deserves better.
Very sorry for Your loss. America's problem is Corporate greed, which as We see can be - deadly. The Billionaires don't care, as they have their own planes and could care less about the rest of Us. So, We struggle for survival & pray for Employee integrity& ethics. God Bless the honest Pilots, Navigators Attendants, who risk their lives, every day. The careless culture, starts at the top of the food chain - the Executives are accountable. ---------- Psalms 37.&91.
Was it the 737 Max? If so, it's worth noting that while the pilots didn't have much skills and willingness to live, if you will, they got into the loop of their's incorrect actions. Yet, there was still a solid chance for the plane to safely reach its destination by adhering to existing policies and procedures for emergency situations.
The last one had an accident..... these whistle blowers need protection.
"Committed suicide?" Oh, puhleeze!

Girl in the pink earrings is cute.
Hopefully he and his colleagues wont have any 'accidents' in the near future or at least till the full report is released.
I mean, one of the whistleblowers, if anything the most important and vociferous of them died recently under *extremely* suspicious circumstances
Turns out "Made in the USA" isn't any better than "Made in China" ROFLMAO!
only "assembled in USA"... most parts are from all over the world i think....
@@isorokuyamamoto8423 The problems so far are associated with the assembling of the plane. Also, any company is responsible for the quality control of their products no matter who actually make them.
The problem is that Boeing controls the FAA, the Department of Transportation and the TSA through corporate capture,. They are going to keep getting away with this stuff until we get a leader who will unravel corporate capture of government agencies and hold corporations accountable for their bad behavior. Biden is doing nothing. Trump did nothing. RFK Jr. is the ONLY candidate committed to fixing this and that is one of many reasons he has my vote.
I mean Comac is a tiny niché player, we don't yet have enough of a trackrecord to say they aren't actually worse than the US stuff.
But I'd prefere European aircraft right now (Airbus)
Boeing is now actually Bo Ying , many of the parts and equipments are resourced from China 😅
John Barnett didn't kill himself.
He was NOT suicidal!
Can we even trust our politicians to.Investigate this?
No.
Absolutely not. They'll make a show during these hearings, then move onto things more important to their own agendas.

NOPE!
I hope he will survive the next few weeks. He needs 24/7 protection now.
I think he was admitted to the hospital that same day for three different infections and just died today

Both of them

Good Luck with that.

If it's ain't Airbus. Im takin the bus.
I give these whistleblowers about 4-6 weeks before Boeing goes after them.
They are both dead
You'd think the top people would be arrested as this sounds like a murder/conspiracy
The top shareholders of Boeing are Timothy J. Keating, Leanne G. Caret, Theodore Colbert, Vanguard Group Inc., BlackRock Inc. (BLK), and Newport Trust Co.
This are the real responsible individuals. Those are the ones who need to be subpoenaed and to testify in public. Specially when boeing have 25 billion tax payers money in government contracts
Exactly.. Blackrock and Vanguard are well known corporate pariahs.

Exactly. Unfortunately I doubt they would be subpoenaed. If they were, you know they'd be lawyered to the teeth and we'd get nothing out of them. However, they'd still get something: their multi-million dollar bonuses and exit packages once they leave...
Thank you. Past time for the lead criminals to pray.
We don't have an FAA Chief in charge, they hired some a****** that doesn't even know how to get on an airplane
Did he REALLY just say he "committed suicide "?
You didn't expect him to say he was bumped off by Boeing did you, or our own government 🤔.....
Yes, what did you expect the senate to do? Tell the truth? Lmao.
Turn the whistleblower into a streamer. 24/7😅
I AM SPEECHLESS - i think i will never fly another Boeing plane in my life
Wow - Boring is in a world of hurt. MBA vs Engineers in charge there. Stocks before Safety. I will stick with Airbus
Boeing needs to be stripped back bare to its foundations and start again with no shareholders and no corporate business people who have no experience in the aviation industry only people should be in control is experience people who are engineers with knowledge and experience and knows about quality and safety
Corporations need to understand their best defense against risks is their frontline personnel and should be treated accordingly.
If its a boeing, I aint going.
They must hire good mechanics with a mechanical aptitude test before hiring someone off the street.. Been an aircraft mechanic most of my life.. I've seen people that should never be around any aircraft at anytime....
So, there are those.
I worked for Boeing for 35 years And I was an inspector For the company And at no time do I feel Safety was ignored. I did my job I did it well. When Boeing merged with McDonald Douglas They brought in a whole new set of characters that wanted to run Boeing All of them had All of them had just ran McDonald Douglas out of business for some reason These These people started running Boeing into the ground and I thought to myself They're going to do to Boeing what they did to McDonald Douglas Because money means more to them than anything So they they started pushing the schedule And I retired
Yet ANOTHER example of how big corps and big govt don’t give two $hits about the people. Negligence, incompetence, and corruption. Disgusting.
This is sad. Grew up from the 50's on around Boeing in Everett and this was rarely a problem until they moved the corporate offices to corrupt Chicago and out of the Seattle area. Quality has gone down ever since they moved those offices.
That's true.
Don't forget the new management sacked 5000 engineers as one of their first actions. Boeing as you knew it, has been gutted. Only the brand has been retained to give an illusion of quality.
Perhaps if Congress passed a law that the Boeing CEO and and other top execs can only fly Boeing.
"Not kept promises made 5 years ago". Well, you expect an arrogant bastard to keep a promise?
Why is a guy with an accountant degree running an aerospace company. Really
How refreshing and nice to listen to one of these congressional hearings where both sides have a respectful and coherent conversation. As a fellow engineer (surgical robotics), the importance of ethics and understanding one’s impact on others’ safety cannot be understated. Ultimate respect for this man and other whistleblowers.
There are enough safety measures in place; otherwise, we would face catastrophes every single day. Building planes is far more intricate than assembling PSB, DC motors, and Main Board all together (surgical robotics)

Use “Names” not they, not management, not superiors.
John Barnett - whistleblower died
Ed Pierson and Joe Jacobson- whistleblower got fired
Sam Salehpour - at senate hearing
Shawn Pruchnicki - Accident Investigator
Dave Calhoun - CEO
Now I need names of managers who threatened them. Names of people who killed John Barnett.
“Names = Accountability”.
the best docu on this problem is by Al Jazeera and its called BROKEN DREAMS

You know that guy didn’t self delete
Sounds like the literall mafia runs boeing lol im not flying one for a while air bus all day for me
none of this means nothing if parties are not send to prison, just more waste of taxpayer dollars, again.
Amen.
This reminds me of McDonnell Douglas and the DC-10 issues back in the 1970s.
It's no accident that this does as after their merger with Boeing, McDonnell Douglas proved to be the dominate one as they took over Boeing. Profit reign over everything else that Boeing once prided itself over, safety and engineering.
@@davidtran4760 you are so right!

The McDonnell Douglas thugs are now running the show.
Guess who took over Boeing…McD!
Why isn't MSM talking to Nikki Haley about this ??
What happened to the everyday x 2 interview?? 😂
Crickets.
How does the senator expect the public not to panic when knowing when they fly corners have been cut and safety has been compromised. Start supplying parachutes? The greed from these airlines is plain to see by all. Increasing flight costs during holidays. Charging for luggage separately. Charging for boarding first. Greed greed greed. And the senate talk talk talk

Don't forget campaign contributions.
he should have said in public
"if i die soon i wasn´t a suicide"
I thought something to that was said by the employee who supposedly committed suicide? It may be another whistle blower whi was set to testify but died just before he was able to.
It's all about profits not about people. Another 100million to the CEO on the backs of cheap labor. Stop the dollars to the CEO 's.
All part of the COLLAPSE🌋🌋🌋🌋🌋
This could sink this arms manufacturing behemoth. The lack of respect for human life trumped by overwhelming greed is an abomination worthy of demons not other humans imo.
I'm sure somebody will come along to keep them afloat!
We Need Men and Women of INTEGRITY To STAND UP AND SPEAK. To Not go along with corrupt, immoral systems. We are nose diving across the board in this country. It's scary and it's a shame. You are absolutely right. The country HAS been sold out for greed and it IS FAR from what it could and should be.
With regard to Boeing, if government agencies were doing their jobs, there would be no reason for good people to risk their lives by becoming whistleblowers. It's shameful.

Airbus ❤
Senator Johnson's a bit arrogant; he starts out saying there's a discrepancy between our two witnesses and yet later on when the one witness is explaining in detail. The manufacturing defect contributing to the crash of the 737 Max's Johnson interrupts him and tells him that's too much detail and it's lost on him. How? What is being explained to him? Is that the manufacturing or parts issue the detector is in addition to the design and emacass flaw. I actually just threw in the design flaw. They don't even get to that: that being the fact that 737 Max's our Frankenstein airplanes independent of everything else fundamentally aerodynamically flawed having been given a giant boob job with their engines, enlarged thrust together and forced upwards. Just like a boob job, it puts stress on the tailbone in a woman or not. The tailbone but the lumbar region so too it causes the plane to tilt upward the root of all these problems
The point not made, is the MCAS was not needed. From a pilot's point of view the 737 MAX was perfectly acceptable.
The only reason the MCAS was inserted, was to make the 737 MAX flight behavior appear to be like a Vintage 737, removing the need for training pilots using a flight simulator. The reason Boeing wanted to avoid training pilots, was to match the cross range compatibility of Air Bus planes
1:06:19 into video. “Wind tunnel testing with composites”, what again would that prove? Did he not listen to the testimony? Multi factor, systemic safety culture failures across the company.
The clown in charge of the Transportation dept along with the FAA have been bought of by Boeing, That is clear as the nose on my face. Nothing will change until true accountability is enforced. Money talks and bull shit walks. I will never fly on a Boeing aircraft again and the airlines that bought these defective planes should be suing Boeing for all they are worth along with the CEO and board members to boot!
"We need them to succeed because..." you have stocks and shares and lobbying from them
"Suicide"
It was especially suspect as John Barnett would have faced questions from his own lawyer in the morning. He would have answered only those questions he wished to answer.
(The Boeing lawyers were only able to delay him by demanding his deposition had to be completed before any other depositions were taken. )
This is Greed. The 737 has been flying almost flawless for decades. My thing is if it's not broken don't fix it. Seems to me someone tried to build airplanes very cheap. Guilty as charged. The Feds are going to have to grab up Boeing and put the right people who love what they do and it shows.🛫✈️

That’s the American way these days.
Its d3i
I wonder if these whistleblowers will live? They should start their testimony with "I have no wish to commit suicide."
Someone in the FAA must be held accountable to pay fines and go to jail for trusting Boeing with doing their own maintenance without oversight.
Boeing makes money from both the civilian world, and the “US Government world”. Interesting theory: ever since Raytheon, General Dynamics, Lockheed, etc- and specifically SpaceX- has been adding much more to Boeing’s competition, I wonder if they’ve shifted more of their focus (financial and diligence) to the military sector, taking away from the civilian sector. ….🤔 I’m also sure the DEI bureaucracy has negatively contributed to the lack of diligence and funding to repairs and upgrades made to the civilian sector planes.
Important points for sure and you are probably right about Boeing shifting resources to keep those government contracts flowing. But the government could easily force them to invest as needed to make their planes safe.

Uh no. They literally barely have any military contracts. Lockheed-Martin has more lmfao
"The gold standard has become fools gold" The old guard actually cared about quality and reputation.
This is beyond Shameful, abhorrent corporate behavior. Boeing is now seen for who and what they are. How could this ever have been condoned ?
Never Nikki.
I don’t think anyone thinks it was suicide.
The committee should invite Allen Mulally former CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes to testify about Boeing difficulties. He is one best leaders of the company and was well respected by the entire workforce. His views are seriously needed at this time.
Great point.
How sad to be threaten at work and harassed, it's just dangerous for all.

If you're short on time why is he speaking so slow and adding in subtle threats to pre-intimidate the whistleblowers.
I bet they regret all those race hires.
REALLY!!! Why does race always need to be brought up? This is a serious concern and all you can comment is about race? How do you know that "race hires" as you put it, are not the ones who are the most qualified and also yout can plainly hear one of the whistleblowers may be a different race because of his accent and he is not only a whistleblower but an Engineer with 40 yrs experience.
Admerable of this man coming forward. He needs to be in protective custody and boeing to be investigated until these people are jailed/imprisoned. I would not rule out the death sentance for the boening ceo's of knowingly writing off safty issues on a jet, thats attemted murder, and count all the victems, one dead=one life sentance...
So much posturing, going through the motions but can we expect chrges against those responsible and major changes? Nah. It's just a dog and pony show. So tired of watching criminals, tyrants and traitors slide by unaffected.
money over people or over safety? seems a systemic problem. who knows how many more bosses like he described are out there. I bow to this brave man
When accountants set aircraft design parameters, backup systems & safety are cut.
Boeing management probably "looked after" government agencies that were supposed to watch over them very well... looks like they are turning a blind eye to many safety issues
Two failing prosses can save each other.
THANK U FOR EVERYONE FOR COMING FORTH. SAFE FLYING ISSSSS SOOOO IMPORTANT. THANK U
The FAA is just as responsible and that is why these whistle-blowers are in so much danger.
lotsa DC shlubs got gifts from Boeing too - some already retired - time for Defazio and others to come forward and return the questionable money
You shim the gaps to prevent stress corrosion. But materials have a threshold stress for stress corrosion. If the stress you're creating by preloading the part is below that threshold and also doesn't add to some operating stress and create a negative margin then you're fine. Also, there is conservatism in the design. And that's why they can test the thing to five lifetimes and it's still fine. But if a mechanic does want to deviate from established procedures then they really should get an OK from Stress - especially if this problem is coming up a lot.
Sorry I'm not getting on a Boeing
The biggest problem in aircraft are the ridiculous move rates that they put on the aircraft. When you have mechanics and inspectors working anywhere from 60 to almost 100 hours a week to get aircraft out guess what, their gonna make mistakes. And 60 hours is usually done without working the weekends.
This is outrageous!
Take a look at Lockheed martin contracts how they hiding

I thought we already took care of that whistleblower 🤔
That’s a problem the market fixes. If Boeing planes are not up to standard, airlines are going to be getting their airplanes from someone else. Wtf is this?
Not enough plane manufacturing capacity in the World. Air Bus is already going flat out, with a massive growing back log.
Didn’t the last Boeing whistleblower have an accident??
Imagine if their 21% of military equipment Boeing is offering has the same quality issues... no wonder they want/need more war funds & why the rest of the developed world has changed manufactures already.
*Ask yourself:* How many thousands of 737s are in the sky at this exact moment? Has there been any accident?

It’s fear. I have it. Booked an Alaska flight with a 737-8 and then I get an update it’s now a Max 9. Don’t think a refund is possible. I don’t feel safe getting on that jet 😢
@@vWaLLBangz In 9 out of 10 cases, a catastrophe is due to human error! It's a proven fact.
