  • This video is all about how I transformed my daughter's hair from Henna red to Champagne Blond. She had used Caca Rouch henna from Lush for several years. It took two rounds of bleach, one round of hair dye, and lots of conditioning treatments in between the rounds and after. The whole transformation took us three days.
    We used:
    Bleach: BBlonde Jerome Russel: amzn.to/3dB6T7U
    Hair-Dye: Knight & Wilson Pureplex Bond Reconstructing 8.01 Natural Ash Blonde Permanent Hair Colour: amzn.to/3v6qp24
    Coconut Oil: (similar): amzn.to/3gxqlnY
    Cantu Leave-In Conditioner: amzn.to/2QIwlPV

      Yes, it certainly can be done! However, it's not easy, and the process is not gentle on your hair. Make sure to take good care of it after, with good moisturising hair care products. The very best of luck to you!

    I must have watched this video 10 times already hahah. I’m going to get my mum to do this for me next week when I visit her (I’m 24 but hey us girls will always ask mum for this type of thing 😂) Thanks for the inspiration! It turned out gorgeous. Did the hair get very damaged afterwards? I know people say it takes time for the true damage to show. Did Anya get a protein treatment ? Thanks x

    • @jane_e_ldn
      @jane_e_ldn  3 роки тому +3

      Hey, @Mellon Collie, hats off for mums, right!?! We dive in wherever we're needed! 😂
      Anja' s hair actually turned out absolutely great! It was a bit dry for a couple of weeks after, but she continued treating it with oils, masks and leave in conditioner. (No particular protein treatment).
      The colour I used on her was so close to her natural colour, so she has let her hair grow out without doing anything else, and she looks beautiful!
      The very best of luck with your hair, and send my love to your mum, as well! xx

      Hello Romy Van hoof! If your hair was dyed before, colour can't lift colour, only bleach can, so that could be why it didnt turn out very light. If you did have natural hair when you dyed it, then it should lighten because of the peroxide in the developer, but then it depends on what your natural hair colour is. Usually a box colour will only lift 1-2 shades so like Green Eclectics said, your best bet might be going to see a stylist.

    • @jane_e_ldn
      @jane_e_ldn  3 роки тому +5

      This sounds like a really harsh procedure for your hair, one that I personally would avoid repeating. Have you ever tried using Olaplex on your hair? My youngest daughter (not the one in this video) just bleached her light brown hair, as she wanted to go blonde. She used developer 40, and her hair became REALLY dry and frizzy. I've done some research, and I've bought the entire Olaplex range for my daughter to try out. Fingers crossed it might do some good to her mane. I'll let you know how it turns out in the end. :) Take care, xx

    I also use henna for almost 20 years, the brown one, but I m thinking more and more to going blonde one day as I m not far away from my 40s🥲I m very afraid to do it, as my hair is extremely fine and sensitive, the reason I never put chemical dye into it, I don t style it neIther dry it. I don t understand how it s possible that you ve put bleach two times in a row. I thought that is not allowed unless you wanna fry the hair. Very beautiful result, I m for the moment just dreaming😃

      There are great bonders like olaplex 1+2 or K18 that allow you to use bleach with minimal damage. I have bleached my hair 3 times in two weeks before and it was fine because of olaplex. Do it once,let it rest and do it again, if you're worried about damage. And definitely use a bonding product.

    • @Ladynipchick2
      @Ladynipchick2 Рік тому +3

      Green is normally the result of using a henna that (possibly unbeknownst to you) had some Indigo in. If a henna product states that it will give you Chestnut or Mahogany for example, it's because some Indigo is in the mix to achieve a Browner look. Pure henna will only give red - although if used repeatedly over many months and years, it can slowly darken to a Browner look. You can avoid that by only doing your roots, and an all over treatment just occasionally. Another way is to do your roots, then add a load of conditioner to remaining henna mix and do a bit of a glossing on the lengths while the roots are cooking!!!

    I don't mean to be mean but 45min of bleach is too much and you risk burning your hair, especially if done several times and obviously she needs to cut quite a bit of hair cause it's looking very damaged, especially the ends. I wouldn't recommend doing this.

      You literally criticized her audio quality and successful bleaching of henna. You commented mean things twice. Lol why?What is your problem? This was a great video and she did an excellent job of bleaching over henna. Others have done WAY more bleach and still didn’t get nearly as good results because henna is extremely difficult to get rid of.

      Thank you! The main reason why I posted this video, is that I had done sooo much research online on how to remove henna, without really finding any good videos or examples of people that had succeeded with this, at all. So when I bleached and dyed Anja's hair, and actually did manage to get rid of the henna, I wanted this video to perhaps give hope to other people struggling with the same issue.
      Again, I have already pointed out that I'm not a professional hair stylist, just showing what we did. And both Anja and myself are really happy with the results. No more henna!
