    Speaking as an X hairdresser who used to use Henna way back in the day you have some really good hints and tips here people seem to always overlook not letting metal touch henna, they also seem to overlook keeping warm both very important points if you want success, thanks for the great video I hope it reaches many people so they will have much better success

    I love this brand its SO easy to apply (I thin it out to yougert consistency and put the henna in a plastic bottle w/nozzle. If you're hair dries while applying use distilled water in a fine mist spray bottle). I just wish I knew about this when I was younger :) The 2-step (to cover the grey) takes me about 7 hours from beginning to end but its well worth it!

    Jesse thank you so much for this wonderful video I'm a natural redhead and I've decided to go henna because I need a little touch up here and there especially in the summertime when the Sun makes my hair a bit lighter and all those little tips from the heat to the metal to the hours you have to keep the color sitting is very informative for me. Also, you are straight to the point and you don't wander all over the place or repeat like other videos I'm glad I found you. I have the lightest red however I'm going to wait until I have a day off to do my hair since 3 and 1/2 hours to sit for the color to develop and then four for the actual application on your hair give or take some time depending on your test right.

    Thanks Jesse, love your hair! Thanks for the useful tips and information. I'm a natural redhead and returning to henna after my stylist quoted nearly $300 to touch up my roots! Just cannot afford that, especially in these weird times. I do like that it's a natural product and I don't have chemicals sitting on my scalp. And definitely henna is an effective conditioner. It's messy but worth it. Still experimenting but know I will hit upon the ultimate tint eventually. Rock on!

    My hair is similar to yours! I am two years strong. I think it even makes it grow faster, (or at least the roots say so.) I used to mix mine with manic panic to get a deep wine color. I have let it fade to the natural henna red, and will be trying Light Mountain Auburn next.

    I used henna for a few years, at first looked great, but overtime dried out my hair out and became REALLY coarse, and even though since the beginning I added oils, coconut milk ,etc... didn't help.The worst part about henna is...if you decide to go back to regular hair dyes, YOU CAN'T! You have to wait forever for the henna to wash out from your hair, which takes FOREVER!!!. Has been more than one full year since I quit, and my hair still orangish color. Never doing again :-(

    • @MariJeanMelissa
      @MariJeanMelissa 7 років тому +3

      Hi, Jesse's Mama here. We just did another commercial for these guys and on Jesse's channel (Jesse Sage) doing my hair. I love henna. Don't know about light blonde hair, but I use red on my eyebrows as well. 1 box was enough for Jesse Sage's hair when it was long. It is short now. On the new commercial we talk about that I get 3 colorings out of 1 box. Now that it has been on my hair for so many years, that whole length doesn't need as much. So, I mix a box, use about half all over, then freeze FLAT in two zip lock bags. The next two times, I will use one of those for the first few inches, then pull through the last hour or so. Three colorings for about $4.00!!! Enjoy.

Maybe Colora Henna is easier b/c all i did was add it to a bowl w/ hot water, mix it w/ a paintbrush but it on my hair the night before school, leave it for a bit and rinse it out.
