Hi. I watched this video originally and then decided to move forward with trying Khadi henna/indigo (Ash Brown) as I had been afraid to use it for fear that if I changed my mind and wanted to change from the Ash Brown Khadi, that I would be stuck. When I watched this video and she advised that the L Ascorbic acid powder mixed with shampoo would remove the Henna + Indigo, for some reason, I trusted this. I bleached my Khadi Ash Brown colored hair and it removed the Henna. But the indigo remains. It appears as a dark gray/light blue color and my roots are yellow now! I tried this mixture of the L Ascorbic acid powder with the shampoo and I wrapped it with a plastic bag and a towel over that for x4 hours. The water running in my shower was clear and I suspected that there was going to be no change when I sneak peaked at it mid-way through the process and noticed no difference whatsoever. Still dark gray/blue hair with yellow roots. Now I don’t know what to do about my hair. My only viable option since Indigo seems to be permanent is to finish coloring it with the x2 boxes of Khadi Ash Brown over the next 2 months, now and then again for the root touch-up in a month when my gray roots are showing again (using the Khadi to save money on hair care and maybe give it a try again since I just bought this water bath to more easily heat the Khadi mixtures to the right recommended temperatures that I think maybe I wasn’t quite doing right before. Then my plan is to begin using box dye again so that eventually it will grow out with the box dye that will be easy to bleach once all of the indigo is gone. I’m going to have to wait the indigo out. I should have known from watching this woman’s video, as i suppose I’d initially suspected that the L Ascorbic acid/shampoo treatment did not work on her hair either. I was wishful watching her video. When she bleached her hair the roots (virgin hair) lightened like mine did. But her ends did not lighten. This has really stressed me out making this mistake as I’m trying to head back to work following surgical leave. Henna is red. Indigo cause the dark part. I wanted to lighten my hair back to the silver it was before and I can’t. I did use Judee’s L Ascorbic Acid, lots, more than she used mixed with some anti-dandruff shampoo. It did nothing and I’ve colored my hair with Khadi only twice. She said that she did for 1.5 years. Anyway, I’m super sad and wanted to write this so that no one else is fooled by this advice. Maybe she’s confused or maybe she’s selling Henna products or L Ascorbic Acid. But this did not work unless I was doing something wrong :(
Well, it is interesting because if you have indigo on your hair and if you try to bleach an indigo coloured hair, you will end up having green hair not blue or grey. so I think the original colour you applied on your hair was having mixture of chemicals in it instead of indigo, resulting your hair to be blue/grey. If you put pure plant powders including indigo, L Ascorbic Acid will remove it. I just received a message from someone that she successfully removed the henna and indigo from her hair with this method. and also make sure the Ascorbic Acid you use MUST be the most powerful grade
You should not have bleached it before doing this method. This method is for henna and indigo coated hair not the bleached henna indigo. The bleach you did obviously will interfere with effectiveness of this method
it is said "Vitamin C Tablet" and there is a huge difference using this product than vitamin C tablet, if you use this method with vitamin c tablet, it is not going to give the same results
Here, I went ahead and pasted the ingredients from the powder you listed. -Ingredients : Pure Vitamin C Powder (L-Ascorbic Acid Powder) and this is the ingredients from vitamin C tabs -Ingredients : Pure Vitamin C in the form of L-Ascorbic Acid 1000 mg. Rose Hips 20mg. It is the same thing and people get the same results. Maybe you meant to use citric acid powder… that is stronger than ascorbic acid, tastes and behaves like lemon juice, and opens the hair cuticle.
@@TheAncientTouch I have used only Heena on my hair no indigo, will it work for me to remove at atleast some of it from my honey blonde balayage hairs?
Yes, what she uses is *exactly* the same stuff as in vitamin C tablets, so I too find this very odd 🙄 Anyway, I already knew it works wonders in removing any hair dyes.
Which bleach did you use for your hair? Can you link product and possibly make a step by step diy video of bleaching hair in a more gentle, natural and simple way? Thank you!
Did the pure vitamin C dry out your hair? Did you deep condition after each application and rinse off the vitamin C? And if it dried out your hair, did the deep conditioning treatment work (if you did a deep conditioning treatment)? Sorry for all the questions. I’m very curious about this process. It may be something I’ll try this coming summer.

Did you only use henna once and it turned black? I’ve used dark brown henna on my dark brown hair but it turned to a very very black hair color. I want my dark brown back. I was just wanting to color all the grays.
@TJ-sy6lh Yes, i used black henna, on my hair that was a warm light brown colour. the reason why your hair turned black is because your hair colour was already dark & the henna just made it darker. have u tried this method yet? btw i suggest bleaching a test strand on your hair to see if it'll turn green (maybe do multiple strands)
@@aissa-xo I did try it several times actually. It seems like every time henna is coming out but the color doesn’t seem to be changing. Still a very very dark black. I mean really black. citric acid also seems to work on it but in a very slower way. I tried it and there is no way to compare it with the speed of removal with ascorbic acid. I think it's just because ascorbic acid is simply more powerful than citric acid
Hi, thank you for this video, for me it worked 😊 I just made it twice (mask-warm coconut oil- mask) and it seems that it stripped off a decent amount of indigo. I will repeat this process next week, but the condition of hair is very good and the change is noticeable so it is worth trying! The issue with stripping off plant based dyes is that people often treat henna and indigo as the same, while it needs completely different environment to dye (while henna needs acidic one, for indigo it needs to be alkaline). The way of treating and removing these two is completely different. Good to see the video where finally someone sees the difference and has some knowledge. Thanks a lot!
Did it make your hair very dry? Will it work if I put henna on hair that had highlights and color done at a salon? I used Khadi Hair Color, did not like how it came off, really want to get rid of the indigo part of the color. But that was over my dyed and bleached hair. So wondering what might happen if I use this method? Also, will it dry your hair?

I did THREE hours with Vit C powder & shampoo and it did Nothing.
the Vitamin C powder must be the high quality and strong version
My wife did the same thing with absolutely zero results. She used the ascorbic acid listed in the video’s description. Not one drop of color came out after 3 hours of waiting.
I heard her say she did it multiple times
Would it work if I used C powder and CONDITIONER instead of shampoo?
I have not tried that I have no idea
I so appreciate the instructional video and you're very kind to share the links for us to find the Vitamin C powder.
Can you please clarify the amount of time that you left the vitamin C solution on your scalp?
Your instructions say 3 hours.
(That seems long) Perhaps your meaning was lost in translation?
Can you please verify that or give us a minute count as to how long to keep solution on the scalp?
Thank you so much!
Kind regards and Happy New Year to you and all! 🌺
keep it 2 to 3 hrs. it doesn't damage the hair or scalp. I kept 3 hrs and repeated this 3 times

Thank you very much for answering me. God bless🌹
Does this remove indigo even after bleaching? To remove the green/blue?
oh I don't think so. but try
I’m in the same situation.. Just wondering if you or anyone has tried it and worked? Even a little?
If it doesn’t I’ll have to tone with a coppery/red
But does the shampoo dry out your hair? 3 hours of shampoo?? My hair dry out after 5 mins of shampoo
just cover the hair it won't do any harm because it is over the henna and indigo it doesn't touch your real hair
It probably will, I did a vitamin C that's not strong as this for 25 mins and my hair is DRY !
Or 3 hours tk hairs pr vitamin c effective hoga ?
Hi, did it dry out your hair?
Does it matter which shampoo? Did you repeat in couple of days?! Thank you in advance
shampoo doesn't matter. yes you might to repeat it. I repeated it for 3 times
@@TheAncientTouch but over how long? over three weeks? three days? three times in a row?
What brand of henna did you use ? I’m wondering
I have vit C powder and will try that :)
I love using Hanna hair dye
Got it in my hair right now and waiting, one hour down…..
U said you did 4 times. How long did you wait in between??
you can wait 2 to 3 times but it really doesn't matter because this thing doesn't burn or damage your hair so you can do every day as well
How long do you leave this solution on? 1/2 hour, 12 minutes? The video says 3 hours
vitamin c solution for 3 hrs. it doesn't damage the hair. the bleach only for about 40 minutes
Thank you so much for your useful video. Hope to view more and more video
Mn b kafi der se henna use kr rhi thi or ab hair dye krwana chahti hu but abi henna pr hair dye ni ayega is liye Ye bta de k ye process kitni der bd dubara repeat kr skty hn jb tk na utry henna ?
Pro tip: Don't lick the pink foam SHAMPOO!
Looks green tinged to me 😂
Hair was fine till she went to bleach it.
Anyways henna isn’t really that good for your hair it makes the hair dry and the colour just sticks on to the hair it’s rubbish
I purchased the exact product she linked to in her description. Literally did absolutely nothing on my wife’s henna died hair. Not one drop of color came out. Waste of time and money. Do not buy the products she recommends.
So true

I just wanted to pop by to suggest seeing your PCP if you have not yet. You may have an enlarged thyroid.
People as you know some people will do anything even lie this days to make a video even if it’s not true as we know anyway not everything is real online it’s not true
Stop using henna and indigo if you hope to highlight again ! And always go to a professional!
No, steer clear of the so-called "professionals"! They don't know s***, to be quite honest.
No disrespect intended but have you had your thyroid checked? It seems quite swollen. God bless.
Yes see here

I just try this. It doesn't work. Don't waste your time. She must have add something else to her mix, or it wasn't henna and indigo.
Tu parles trop dans tes vidéos vas tous droits au butes
Ok if none of the things didn’t work on your hair but what you using it works that’s why you did it for the video come on what do you really think some people are dumb women people know that not everything they see online video isn’t true even UA-cam isn’t real
Blah blah blah
Just get on with it....lot of non sense
