You can also install wheel bearings on the Sandy Land. It comes with bushings from the factory. Each wheel takes two 6x10x3 bearings. It's a huge improvement over stock.
I don’t think so. It’d most likely fall off, and possibly yank the motor weirdly if it got snagged. If you can’t 3D print a mount though, you probably could zip tie it to the chassis brace in the middle.
So, I put in my new metal diffs for this car, i noticed that it was making a horrible grinding noise and slowed the car down tremendously, i took the whole car apart inside out, I even put in the old diffs and it still grinds, I cannot find the problem! Did you ever have this problem? It may be a stripped tooth on a gear or something, I forgot to check that.
There’s a few possible causes. Probably the most likely one is the little bevel gear that spins the differential has broken. It’s plastic, and in my experience can lose a tooth or two. It’s really hard to see the damage sometimes, (because it can take off just the tops of the teeth) but it makes a grinding noise. It’s also possible that it’s the pinion. If you used a different pinion gear for the aftermarket motor, it might be slightly too big or small. It could also be the metal gears themselves. If you didn’t add grease, they could make some noise. I don’t think this is it though because the noise didn’t go away when you took metal gears out. I hope this helps!
@@CHEESEBURGERRC thanks! I will definitely look at the spur gear because it may be chipped, i have plenty of grease in my diffs and gears so i dont think that is it, thanks again!
Nice vid! Although I heard in a Facebook group that putting canola oil in shocks can destroy them not sure if that's true or not but having some shock oil around would be good to have. Looking forward to the next vid 👍
Honestly, you’re probably better off upgrading the motor first. I’ve heard from people who have geared their cars up, and they’ve found that it usually doesn’t go any faster because it overloads the motor.
Im upgrading alot on my rustler here's what I'm putting on it Big bore shocks Aluminum caster blocks Aluminum turnbuckles and camberlinks Aluminum stub axle carriers Steel driveshafts Brushless 3s velineon esc and motor Body steering blocks And new tires!!
Just tore apart my deerc 300E (factory upgraded sandyland.) And it has the same metal differential. The oil filled shocks had no oil however and leaked when I filled them. Metal bearings though. I just need to get your shocks then a 3s battery and fan. I complained about the shocks not holding oil and the company is sending me a new truck free of charge.
Here are the shocks:amzn.to/2KdILfO And the fan: amzn.to/2K4P2KT I've been going through putting links in my descriptions too to make it easier to find stuff. 👍
There are a couple options. The easiest one would be to mount it in the same spot just without a mount. You could probably run zip ties through the screw holes to attach it to the top deck, and you might even be able to run a zip tie under the motor too! Just make sure you don't tighten it on the driveshaft. Another option (Pretty similar to the first one) would be to hot glue the corner of it to the top deck. Either one of those would hold it over the motor. You could in theory also glue it to the motor, but you should only use a small amount of glue if you do that to avoid damaging the motor. Alternatively, you could cut out/bend some plastic to make a little mount. That would give the fan some extra stability, and possibly hold it at a better angle. If you want to use a proper 3D printed mount, there are companies that will 3D print parts and mail them to you! I hope this helps!
Another upgrade you might be able to is an upgrade on the pinion. There are 2 different pinion that pxtoys uses. There's a 14 and 17 tooth. www.pxtoysrc.com/index.php/pxtoys-rc-car/pxtoys-9302-spare-parts/pxtoys-9300-upgrade-parts-oil-shock-992.html
I haven't done it myself, but the motor can mount 2 different ways. If you flip it one way, the gap between the motor and spur is smaller. Then, if you flip it over, the gap is bigger.
Not my picture, but someone bought the upgraded motor and this is the old vs new motor. He installed it, and it fits. photos.app.goo.gl/d7MgWLE2x7EN8RCd8

Wow... You deserve more subscribers! I absolutely love the videos! Keep up the good work🙂
Thanks so much! 😀
Post more bro your growing into a nice channel
The s max would be a good rc to upgrade
There are a lot of upgrades for that truck as well
I would, but the name of it is copyright infringement, and other small UA-camrs have been sued for making videos on it. 🙁
yes thanks for the great video
hi love the vids i commented on your other video about the servo i got it and it worked great thank you.
Thanks!
You should get the wltoys a959b and just souping it all out
Awesome dude!! My nephew just got this truck for his bday!
like it
That little car looks like it’s about to take a beating! Love the vids

I swear you’re a mind reader. I just had a set of bearings delivered yesterday!
@@CHEESEBURGERRC You should join the PXtoys fans f a c e b o o k page. I'm on the verge of installing an adjustable motor mount from a WLtoys A979.
I haven’t made an account yet, but I will soon! Hopefully I can join sometime in the next few weeks. 👍
That sounds pretty awesome by the way!
@@CHEESEBURGERRC should hopefully be able to install a 2845 brushless motor and a bigger pinion.
I have a suggestion, if the motor still overheats try a heatsink with a fan it wil dissipate the heat faster
hey thanks for the video I just bough myself those shocks and am going to put them on my sandy land.
put on a spoiler. px9300-27
I’ve actually been looking for a spoiler! Thanks! I’ll get one of those👍
@@CHEESEBURGERRC if ur looking for parts the manual that came with it has all the parts and upgrades -_-
The spoiler is on its way now! I’ll hopefully be able to install it soon!
@@CHEESEBURGERRC ur gon need to poke a hole or get a diffrent body coz the company is weird like that. Works great on my setup after modifying tho.
Alright. Thanks for the help! I’m excited to try it! 👍
You should do a build off with when your friends by getting a Walmart RC and turn it into the ultimate RC
That’d be awesome! I’ll see what I can do. 👍
Geez these bots have been loving me lately!
Been watching the sandyland videos for a while now and I’m wondering if you can just zip tie the fan onto the motor
I don’t think so. It’d most likely fall off, and possibly yank the motor weirdly if it got snagged. If you can’t 3D print a mount though, you probably could zip tie it to the chassis brace in the middle.
Next you should get a cheap crawler kit
Do you know of any good ones? I’ve been in the market for a cheap crawler for a little while.
Is this car and the deerc 9310 same??? like every detail??
The deerc 9300 is the same car just with a different shell. I don’t know about the 9310, but if it’s the same, then yes.
@@CHEESEBURGERRC ok

So i bought metal pinions!

Please make a vid about installing oil shocks
They’re pretty easy to put on. You just have to unscrew the screws at the top and bottom of the shocks.
Hi I have same model and want to make it fast really fast but dont know what gear will fit

i want to know were you buy ur parts

What channel do you put it on the receiver when using the fan
I believe channel 3. I’ll have a look tomorrow morning.
What do you think about the zop powers I need a new 2/3s after my old one I thew it away as it had a dead cell
They’ve been working awesome for me! They are pretty big, so I had to make a custom Velcro hold down to keep them in, but they work great.

@@CHEESEBURGERRC i have the same setup as you for the motor but i put the other fan on the body its self with zip ties because i cut out holes there
How do you wire up the fan
It has a wire like the ESC and servo that just plugs into the receiver. It won’t work with the stock box though.
What kind of diffs you have?
These ones: amzn.to/3nvaEOU
Whr u get ur tires from for 9300? What's the hex size in the bk of the tires.
I got mine at the hobby shop. They have a 12 mm hex.
U should upgrade the deerc 16889 rc car next it’s pretty similar it’s just a 1:16 scale I believe
Awesome! I’ll check it out👍
I got to say Rc as you Can you do a lift kit on that RC

PX9300-34B is the 14 tooth and PX9300-34C is the 17 tooth pinion.
How do I set the gear mesh with a different size gear? It only has the one slot for the motor.
