When doing washes i like to use 1-2 drops of flow improver to reduce the surface tension that water adds and it will make the wash creep into small crevices better, adding too much flow improver will make it too watery.
Did you consider doing a wash on his clothing? Considering the texture I thought that might be ideal to give a little more depth and some darkness to the recesses? (Then doing the pastel powder accents after, since they look amazing!)
Just found your channel and it's great. For some reason I have a hard time finding videos like this of specifically 3d prints. If you could link the products you use in the description that would be amazing. I'm wondering what varnish your using and if it changes the paint finish.
Thanks a lot! I plan to include some affiliate links for the future. The problem is, with an international audience you always have problems that some products are only available local. I'm using "Montana Matt Varnish" with UV protection. It doesn't really change the color, but it get's a tiny bit more shiny - even though it's matt. I always use this as my base varnish because of the UV protection. And if I need it more matt, I use Greenstuff MaxxMatt over the Montana Varnish.
@@evolutionxstudios Thanks for the reply! Just an idea, I'd love to see a video where you just go through some painting tips. Tricks that you've picked up and any products that you use that others may not know about. Just watching a few of your videos I learned about a load of stuff I never knew existed.
@@jjbeast102699 Appreciate the input, thanks for that! I will definitely think about how to do something like this. Similar to my "painting skin in just 5 minutes", just with other topics
@@evolutionxstudios Exactly I watched that one last night and can't wait to try it. Made way more sense to me then the other videos like it. Maybe a "things I wish I knew when I started painting 3d prints" or something like that. Anyways looking forward to the next video! Keep it up
@@evolutionxstudios great, thanks! And you can recommend them? 🙂 Just finishing resin printing this model at full scale and looking forward to painting it 👍

Not 100% sure what you mean. For the base it's wood filler, and for Wolverine's body I used Tamiya putty to fill the holes and for the larger gap Aves Apoxie Sculpt

@@skilltest-qr2ef I don‘t have special brushes, I just bought a cheap set from Amazon. Same with the Airbrush. I‘m only using a 40$ non-brand one. For primer you have to see what‘s available for you. But any rattle can primer that is not too cheap should work. The colors I‘m using are from Vallejo. Game Color, model Air, and model color lines. I will probably add a list with links in the video description in the future.

Beautiful work! Really like how you did Wolverine.
Thank you! Appreciate your comment!
He looks awesome.
Thank you Tim! Next one will be a quarter scale Batman ;)

You are welcome and Woohoo! 🦇
Great job 👍
Thanks mate!
Nice! I don't see the statue for sale on his site though
Thanks Joe! Yeah maybe shoot him a message on Instagram/Artstation, don‘t know why he has removed it from his Artstation shop.

That‘s actually a good idea! A wash can never hurt!
