i have been watching alot of paint vids for awhile now as i want to take up this hobby aswell. your explenation and to the point quick detailed display of how its done was perfect. hopfully i can learn more from your vids and successfully paint my bring grey 3d prints
Great work on the assembly and paint work, and the clear video showing your methodology! I'm not going to lie, I got a bit nervous when you were using the power drill and holding the parts in your other hand hah.
This is amazing work! Great job. I've got everything I need (except the paint colors lol), printers, air brush, etc...so I've been watching a lot of these videos to get an idea how it's done!
¡Awesome!. Congrats for that great work and for the passion and love put on there. I love the video with all the path for create the figure. Please receive my admiration and a best regard from Uruguay (South America). Keep in track, you are great, Jorge.
Cool result, almost finished painting my statue, for the shadows i've been using a method that's a bit hard to control, basically damping the surface, painting a wash/glaze in the areas then removing the edge with a slightly damp sponge to remove the harsh edge. This method requires back and forth with the base color and the shadow to have a nice gradient, the pastels might be better to control then just seal it with a protective varnish. Shading with airbrush might be the best way to go about it, so far only been using it for base colors, metallics, varnishes and stuff like that, prefer to do most of the work with the brush.
Thanks buddy! Yeah that does indeed sound like a pretty difficult method to control. It can‘t get easier than with pastels. I also prefer that over airbrushing, especially for very small areas
@@evolutionxstudios Yeah, saw this method before but they were using graphite from a pencil shaved off into small grains like u did in the video and hair spray to seal it.
So much respect I have for you to put so much effort into this, it came out fantastic. Really inspires me to make one of my own and you show so well how to do it in this. I have no excuse now not to. Lol Subscribed for sure, your Batmobile one came out awesome as well!
Thanks Diego! Yes! Actually I would recommend sealer after every color that you paint. I use a rattle can sealer with uv protection for the big areas and for small details the Vallejo varnishes
what kind of wood filler do you use? i made the mistake wet sanding a model after i used woodfiller and filler primer. The woodfiller absorbed the water and everything just peeled off...
I have had the same with an all purpose filler. The wood filler I use is not from a particular brand you can only get it in basically a 1$ store here. If „plastic wood“ is available for you that should work as well
I noticed that dry brushing with Vallejo Game Color paints is very difficult, the paint dries super fast and when there is little paint it sticks to the brush, i tend to use paint retarder gel to increase the working time, thinking of getting some Green Stuff World paints to test, only tested one and it felt much smoother and went on great also as dry brush without any retarder.
@@evolutionxstudios I'm more looking for a print price x hour, and those stuff ( A friend of mine want some figures and I don't nothing about this prices)
@@alnmkecustoms The slicer program will tell you how much resin you need for your print. Just add that up for all the prints you need to finish the figure. If it's a print for a friend I personally would just ask to cover the price for the resin or just do it for free. If you are trying to sell it I would probably start with doubling the price of the resin to also include all the stuff that goes with it (IPA, paper towls, gloves etc.) and then add the hourly wage x the time you need.
Your video lead me to buy this model :) I’ve printed everything except the large cylinder light thing , any tips for fdm to print that ? I have it positioned upright with the closed side at the top which fills the entire model with support
Nice! To avoid that I went into Meshmixer and cut away the closed side and printed it seperately. If you don‘t care about having those rings on the closed side you could also print it with the closed side to the build plate. That might could also give you a cool surface structure, depending on your build plate
@@evolutionxstudios thanks for the info ! I thought about flipping it around but not sure how the rings would come out . I didn’t know about something called mesh mixer ! I’ll give that a go . So when I split it , it just makes 2 stls that I can print in cura ? Like they will fit back together, same size and all ? Also should I split it right at the top so it’s like a “coin” , or leave some of the cylinder part with the top ?
@@kosta6137 no problem pal! Should be pretty easy in Meshmixer with a "plane cut". You could also directly do it in your slicer. If the closed side is on top, just drag the cylinder down in the z-direction until only the top part is left to print. And then you turn it around and move the top part out of the build plate in the negative z-direction until only the cylinder is left to print. And then you just super glue the two parts together
@@evolutionxstudios thank you sir ! I am going to try this later tonight !! Excellent job on this print you made it look amazing and shelf worthy, hope to see more on your channel, will def be buying other models you print :)
Hi can you please tell me from where can iget ' that thing u're using to hide the lines in ( video 2:56..) and can i print this model using only FDM printer ???
Do you mean the tool with the silicone tip? Search on amazon or google for clay sculpting tools. You can also print it on FDM of course. The bigger the better. At a small scale the FDM printer will have a hard time with the details
Just wow mate. Great job!!!!!
thank you buddy!
Fantastic work and without airbrush I like the relaxing way you have in your videos
Thanks my friend, appreciate it :)
I like the grimacing head, it goes with the condition of his body better. Awesome work💯

Do these paints come in a simple kit or did you have to piece them all together?
They come in a simple but expensive kit. I bought a kit with I think 72 colors but you can by the bottles separately for 2-3 bucks per bottle as well.
How well would this print with pla on a Bambu lab. P1p printer if some has tried
For PLA I would say you need to go bigger. If you print it in quarter scale it should work
@@evolutionxstudios excellent thank for the response great videos
What type of paints are you using?
In this case it was all Vallejo paints
Where did you buy the paints from?
I think it was on amazon
What printers did you use?
Elegoo Saturn & Creality Ender 3 Pro
😂..36 bolts...yeah, I counted them😂
