I have one and absolutely love it! But take note or I have to emphasize what Jay pointed out....You must use the batteries that came with the charger. The batteries contain metal tabs on the side and you have to make sure they point out and they make contact with the metal tabs on the battery cover. The first time, I was not aware of this and tried to charge the controllers but the charge light would blink which meant there was a problem. It took me a few times to realize the problem. Once I did, they worked great.

Hi Rita, I can definitely do that. I'll be home in a bit and I'm guessing you're not the only one wondering so I'll just make a brief video measuring it out for you 😊
Thanks so much! I went to every seller website, read every Amazon review and every Amazon question. No luck. One Amazon questioner asked for the dimensions so he could build a shelf and still no measurements. It’s been pretty frustrating.
7:34 do you have details on where they say it stops charging? Mine does not stop charging, it stays green on the dock and on the headset 12+ hours later, showing me it's still sending voltage to the headset. On Oculus they recommend unplugging once the headset LED turns green.
Hey Work, sadly this is a new issue that seems to be popping up in them. I've noticed my Quest2 will go green but the light on the stand takes sometimes an hour or a max of 2 before it switches to green also. I've messaged anker support and if I get an update I'll make an update video but this is concerning as it was designed to be totally safe for the 2 and now I'm worried it may be damaging the battery.
@@jaybratt Thanks for the reply, I found the line on their site about "Overcharge protection" and assumed after now 15 hours that is should have stopped charging. I opened a support request with Anker on this a few minutes ago.
@@jaybratt I explained to Anker my understanding of the advertised "overcharge protection" is that once charged, the Anker dock would stop sending power to the headset. However, after the Anker dock indicators turn green AND the headset LED turns green, they all remain lit until I unplug. Even after 24 hours, I still see power going to my Oculus 2 headset keeping the Green headset LED lit. Anker responded, this is how it works and when the lights are green, it's not charging the headset. Which makes no sense because it's still sending power to the headset... On the good side, it's a neat, organized place to store my headset, but it does not stop charging the headset as one would assume based on the advertised features. It looks like I'm going to go back to using my Wi-fi outlets and setting up an Alexa routine to kill power after 3 hours.
Dang! Weirdly my right one was running out faster too. It must be the master. I use my quest several times a week but usually for short periods. My long sessions still go to my rift s and psvr

@@jaybratt are they Lithium Ion? Also considering that the cells have both positive and negative contact patches on the same side of the cell casing it's probably extra necessary that they aren't loose.
is it resting on the DAS audio jack? that looks like a minor con to me as I also have a DAS on my quest 2 wouldn't want it to damage it over time, only other con for me is it's not for sale in the UK, not even for preorder.
It actually wasn't putting any pressure on the audio jack. The only thing it was touching weird was the power button. Everything else was hovering just above. Good question!

The charger keeps charging my headset even though it’s full. the button on the anker charger is green but the oculus headset light shows that it is still charging. I checked the oculus headset and it’s at 100%, so idk why it’s doing that.
Is the charging light on the Anker staying orange? I noticed this recently with my Anker dock when I got a refurb headset and put it on there and it's only this one certain headset that will do it. I always thought it was certain stands that got stuck on orange but now I'm thinking it's certain headsets.
@@jaybratt the light on my dock is actually green, but it keeps charging my headset even though it’s full, so idk. I’m getting a new one to see if it will work.

I have noticed they seem to run from 100% quickly but idk if they drain from 90-0 very quickly as I never play long enough to drop them much further. Most batteries don't stay at the top for long but come down quick. I wonder if these are also some type of quick cycle batteries since they know they'll be recharged so often that maybe it affects the charge depth.

Hey jay I have another problem I'm in the rec room airport bathroom and I need toilet paper could he get me some I dont wanna miss my flight.
That is quite the problem to have!... Due to covid there is no more TP so you're gonna have to do the hover sink clean LOL
@@WorkPlayDrive keep me updated if you don't mind. As mine isn't "broken" idk if I'll hear back anytime soon.
Hello, can you actually leave the charging station always on the power when the controllers and the glasses are inserted?
micha
Hi Micha, yeah Anker built in 3 types of power protection so you can leave everything on it
@@jaybratt thank you jaybratt
@@Micha-qf3ct you're very welcome!
But how I take the little thing where the plug is out
Sorry I'm not quite sure what you mean. What thing are you trying to take out?
His batteries lasted months, i play so much that I am 3 weeks in and 2nd pair of batteries. The right controller is 3rd battery
Dang! Weirdly my right one was running out faster too. It must be the master. I use my quest several times a week but usually for short periods. My long sessions still go to my rift s and psvr
It’s your dominate hand probably. My right runs out fast compared to my left
@@Rahjr-wi3zm I didn't think about that. I am right handed
I bought one and the controllers charge fine but the headset doesn't charge at all
Weird! Is there anything in between the two magnetic connectors? It must be a faulty unit.
@@jaybratt nope there's nothing between the connectors and it probably might be
@@Sans_816 I'd return it or exchange it for sure. Sucks ☹️
How do I remove the magnet thing
Please can someone Tell me the Weight and size. please
I measured it here including the controllers and headset on it. Check description for original sizes. I'll go weight it real quick... Without cable it weighs 2lbs and 2.2 oz aka
969 grams

I was thinking of getting one, but I want some knuckle straps which will not fit oof
I'm in the same boat. I may just not get the knuckles now
Mine is blinking. How do I fix it?
The reason that the batteries are in a case is because loose batteries can short against each other and cause fires.
They shouldn't be loose but most items, including the Quest 2, send them just shrink taped together. I was shocked to see a little case for them. They really wanna make that price tag feel worth it I think.
I had my quest 2 for a week and I had to replace the batteries for the controllers within a couple days, I'm not sure what percentage the new batteries are but I hope that my quest controllers aren't broken 😕 (p.s the new ones are also 1.5v so yeah)
Thats very weird because mine lasted 3 months. I hope it was just a bad set of batteries and your new ones will be fine. Let me know!
Ok @@jaybratt
@@jaybratt so the right battery died and I barely used it so sheesh
@@slatt1122 uh oh, maybe the right controller is broken and just never going into sleep mode
Facebook is making up for the elite strap lol
They're trying to! lol

@@ninthslayer i know
How do I get the usb out of the oclus
Fingernails usually do the trick. If it's being difficult some gently pliers would get it out. It just pulls straight out like a normal USB c
Do you know if the Bobovr m2 pro strap fits well on the dock?
The pro would have to be unplugged from the headset and you'd have to put the magnetic charger bit back into the Quest every time. I'd look into Bobo's dock instead: ua-cam.com/video/Nwgyh5BAhk4/v-deo.html

So does it automatically stop charging after the battery reaches full
Yup, several types of protection like overcharge protection too
@@jaybratt thank u so much I’m buying a quest and was worrying about it melting the port

@@skillz8639 this dock won't damage your battery. I'm saying the USB port was possibly an unrelated issue. Not a dock issue ☹️

@@jaybratt YES i was thinking of him too, it’s like a combination of both LMAO
I got this and love it
I'm still using mine. It's nice to know everything is ready to go.
@@pumpkinlord5426 if the light stays green it's supposed to just be maintaining the battery as charged but not overcharging it. It has protection built in to it but if you've tested the signal and it's still trying to overcharge it would be good to exchange it
@@jaybratt Ohhhhhh, thank you so much!!! You just saved me from the hassle of returning and buying a new one. Much appreciated!

Sorry Legacy, at least at this price they're more reachable for most people than ever. Great for the industry
Anyone notice how quickly the controller batteries start losing power? Normal batteries stay at 90% - 100% for months. These start dropping in minutes
@@jaybratt I've thought of that, too. It happens with my Xbox rechargeable batteries. But those same batteries last much longer in other devices.
I've never seen ttyn go below 80% but they drop so fast and I've only had the dock for a week. I'll just pay closer attention.
