Very nice. Also as mentioned at 0.26 , where guys try various kneebar defenses, would be good to also see a bit more on the setup which might negate the head and arm defense that guys often use, once they sense the stepover knee bar coming.
i had a multiple time world champion stuck in this hold for about 5 mins when I was a blue belt - about same size and weight. I dont think they knew what I was going for when I grabbed the leg and by the time they figured it out I was almost in the full position. through skill, will and experience the BB wiggled free but i know he was worried about the leg - he was a large ego BB that didnt like tapping at all much less to a far far less superior athlete. anyways one of my highlights when I think about my progression for sure - thanks for the technique
Should you with knee bar have the foot come down to your mouth straight away instead of placing side of the food on ear-when bring leg down why turn it just bring it straight down toes face nose. My instructor teaches this.
For the on top yes, the guy on bottom no I don't think so. Top guy is mobile and can dive to your back, his leg will give him momentum and turn into a hook. Bottom guy can't take the back unless he releases a grip and reverses his leg position which would defeat the purpose of the series, which is turning him away and trapping his limbs.
Some months ago, a tiny police woman, 20 cm smaller than me, inflicted such an leg-bar on me, turning my bikerboot to even strengthen the leg-bar. My fists could only strike air - holes. A few seconds later I fainted cuz she additionally pressed one finger hard against an neuralgic point 5cm beneath my knee . Since she was Japanese looking and by the quick way she made me tumble to the floor , I guess, what she applied on me must have been Judo or Aikido.
This is really, really good stuff. I'm going to start adding this to my leg lock game this week.
I really like this video. Not just the technique but the detailed breakdown ... big fan of you Keenan and outstanding video

When we reach the knee bar guard from the leg drag is there a back take option as well?
