The red, black and blue paint job looks great my friend! Really awesome detailing. Lights and indicators turned out cool. Really cool toy and great video friend. 👍🙂
Great restoration again, remember dad having one of these on his scrap yard up till 1963 as ex army then a Canadian military cab Ford up till 67 or 68,which I'd still got the cmp now but he scrapped it when the yard shut.
I love it Martin. The colour scheme is stunning. I also remember doing the black mud guards after painting the cab. It was not fun taping the cab. There was plenty of over spray that got through the tape, which I had to polish off. That's a good tip for me. Cheers
A fantastic job, Martin, nice detailing love the early 50s/60s vehicles , looking forward to seeing your next restoration, all the best to you and your family.
Another beauty, Martin! Love the old trucks. I remember as a kid in the 60's my Grandfather had a 40's Chevy flat bed farm truck that the front looked similar to the old Bedford.
A nicely detailed little Dump Truck 🛻, a great choice of colors it goes well together, a nice restoration Martin, good touch with the load on it👍,always enjoy watching , you take care of yourself my friend see ya on the next resto. 👋😎🚙🚒🚚🛻
Another great resto Martin and I like the colour scheme good choice there mate, look forward to your purchases and donations video , hope you and the wife have a great time and good weather at your caravan
Flawless job Martin nice colour choice, suits the era. Have a well earned break in the “van” with Mrs D all the best to you my friend. Cheers Chris 👍🏼🥸🇦🇺🇦🇺💰
Hi Martin great job on that one . I had to get a new winding gear from Flowers on mine. Cost £11 or thereabouts. I got 17mm tyres on mine and the Bedford dust cart (Chelsea fryer as I've heard it called), still ample clearance on the wheel arches
Cheers, Ian .I thought that mech was expensive. Luckily, I had an old Chelsea fryer with a good mech, and I also used the base plate after breaking the tab of this one . 17 mm are a good fit .
That whole series of Bedfords is just delightful: really clever adaptations to give a whole range of superb toys. Not sure if the Commers are interchangeable.. but both are lovely. I like the colour scheme - quite bold and very traditional coachpainter! Really nice job, as usual, Mr Dare! Did you swap the baseplate?
Hi Martin fabulous job love the blue, red and black combination. How did you fix the tab at the back? 🤔What a great idea putting the grit in the back really makes it. Remember that Holden Brougham I mentioned last week. Well it went to auction on the 19th and it sold for......$116.000 WOW I was expecting may be $60.000 tops I guess somebody really wanted it. Oh well It was museum quality and looked factory fresh so I don't think there would be many around like that. It only go's to show it's worth is how much someone is willing to pay for it. Have a relaxing time caravanning it must be great when you drive a long distance and your house is right there behind you. Stay safe and I'll catch you on the next one.👍🏻
Cheers Geoff, I forgot to mention I replaced the base plate with the same truck I took the winding gear from, because I couldn't repair the tab on the original plate. That was a good price, I bet the auction fees were a lot on that price . All the best Martin
Lovely job Martin, looked a tad fiddly in places, but perseverance won the day again! When you crimp an axle over into a 'mushroom' do you just gently tap it with a small pein hammer?
Thanks Anthony, yes I did forget to mention that I used the base plate from the dust cart that I got the mech from as I couldn't successfully repair the broken tab . All the best Martin
Tough little one to disassemble. And tricky to reassemble. Great job. 👍
Cheers Andy it looked worse then it actually was ,it's one worth doing 👍

That's a flash, custom paint job, Martin. I really like it. That brightens up an otherwise dull casting.

Great restoration again, remember dad having one of these on his scrap yard up till 1963 as ex army then a Canadian military cab Ford up till 67 or 68,which I'd still got the cmp now but he scrapped it when the yard shut.
I would have liked to have seen that ,I do like older trucks and scrap yards
I love it Martin. The colour scheme is stunning. I also remember doing the black mud guards after painting the cab. It was not fun taping the cab. There was plenty of over spray that got through the tape, which I had to polish off. That's a good tip for me. Cheers
Thanks timo, that's the very reason I do my mud guards that way round now , it saves a lot of heartache .
All the best Martin
