Awesome toys! The Lunar Bug is really cool. Circus stuff neat. I really liked the green VW van too. Tonka with double trailer (red and yellow) I've never seen before. Great video friend! 👍😎
I love the 2 Texaco tankers right at the beginning of the video Martin, also looking forward to seeing you do the Dinky Toys forklift now you've got the decals because I have one I'd like to restore as well. Another great video Martin, take care and all the best. Peter.
Awesome lot Martin, the Skybird indeed has a canopy and seems like a gun to pull as well, never seen that before .I like the display garage for the restored models .Cheers Laz
A lot of great diecast in your little haul Martin, lots of ole favorites 👍, I myself am a Tonka fan. A Neat q tip dispenser👌, see ya on your next restoration.👋😎🛻🚒🚙🚚
Thanks very much,we don't have a lot of tonka toys over here, the tiny tonka vehicles are becoming collectable now so iam getting a few in stock before the prices go to high. All the best Martin
Hi Martin, the Panhard and the Skybird really peaked my interest, can't wait for the restorations on those two, thanks again for doing what you do for us.
Hi mate you sure have a good eye finding those little gems in the job lot. I think if it wasn't for this hobby all these diecast slices of history would end up in land fill. Was that blue racer Campbell's blue bird? I remember having a tin friction toy one in the late 60s. Juliet bought me a twelve inch plastic Robbie the robot from of all places Walmart in the US she found it on line. It talks walks and the lights flash in time when he walks. You know me I love my robots and Daleks. I hope you had a great time on your holiday. My mate in the duo has a van too he go's off a few times a year to a place called Normanville it's a beautiful sea side location I went up to visit them once in the MG. Stay safe mate catch you on the next one.👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks Geoff, yes pickings are getting a bit slim over here, prices are rising, good job I have plenty to go at . Robbie he was cool ,great present. All the best Martin
That Mobilgas Tanker would make a good Code3 conversion - having just watched the Hellboy Dodges, I feel a hacksaw coming on! The Corgi Thunderbird will make a good racer - see the Goodwood videos for the St.Mary's Trophy car - what a handful! The Trojan is perfect. The Chipperfield's Generator Truck will be fun! I like that a lot! Sensible haul - should be well worth the bidding process!
Good selection there,Martin. The odd looking Chipperfield's truck,is not a Chipperfield, its a doored lorry, often found with 'Express Sevices' transfers or Transcontinental.
Interesting little haul......... Never heard of Skybirds, so looked 'em up. Quite interesting. There was a Scammell like yours but with tyres and a cover on sale (I think the link was ebay) for 26 and a half quid, so somebody likes them.
Thanks very much my friend, I appreciate you doing a bit of research on the sky birds, iam thinking a good scrub some second hand tryes and a cover .keeping it as original.
Thanks very much my friend, the sky birds iam thinking a good scrub ,some half decent second hand tryes and a home made canopy, trying to keep it original
That was short but sweet. Early too. You got some nice cars there. The Tonkas are neat. There is a guy that has a channel, called Chip Channel Restorations. He restores Tonkas and other older toys. His shop of tools is impressive.
7:10 interesting looks. there might even be a real racer this is done after. :) 10:30 scoring such rarities is what we live for, no? :D like that aluminium-cast model of a 1938 Auto-Union racer I caught at a shop... no idea who made it, maybe Mahle. I hope I can find out one day. 13:20 interesting custom. I would repair it like it is, too, it does look like intended. :) 16:37 this lil Citroen is either an old Norev, or fromm a spanish company I keep forgetting the name. Met-O-Sul maybe, or another into the direction of Autosol or something. Plastic models in 1:86 scale, both brands suffer from heat and sun making the bodies and baseplates warp. this one is worn but still straight. :) 16:50 I think this belongs to a clockwork landscape game thingy. they do look that flat, actually. :) 22:20 I caught a little Tonka Buggy in a shop lot. there is some rust, but otherwise good condition... I wonder how it'll clean up. or repaint? I love me some shop lots, sometimes. the latest one brought me some rarities and a Dinky France Peugeot 504. windscreen has a little crack, but everything is complete. do you know what's up with the chrome plastic wheels havign black hubs? or did the one who repainted the hood repaint the red ones, too? anyway, so it was 24 minutes of flea market today, still enjoyable. :)
Thanks, Lothar, you are certainly a great mind of information, and I really appreciate it, my friend. It's all useful. All the best, Martin Back on the hunt next week
Hi Martin, I saw you show the Corgi Major Bedford Tanker. I have been looking for one of these, as i had one in my younger days. and have been looking for one. Is there any change i could purchase it??? If you wish you could restore it first to its ordinal state. If you don't want to sell it that's ok. Just thought i would ask. Cheers Wally
Hi Wally, thanks for asking, but unfortunately, this is the only one I have of this model I do have the milk version aswell and intended doing them together as a pair , but certainly if I come across another one we can do a deal for sure . All the best Martin
Sky birds made a range of pre war and wartime aircraft and aerodrome buildings and ground crew so the lorry is proberly pre 1945,the John Hill company, better known ad jollico produced toys in all types but are better know for toy soldiers to rival britains hollowcast toy soldiers from about 1910.
Awesome toys! The Lunar Bug is really cool. Circus stuff neat. I really liked the green VW van too. Tonka with double trailer (red and yellow) I've never seen before. Great video friend! 👍😎

The UV light video will be interesting to see. Iv never heard of it before 👍
Thanks very much, yes it will be coming up soon look out on Wednesday you will see it .
Nice varied haul this month. I particularly liked the oldDinky racer with no base. 1930s racer I’m guessing
Cheers Andy, yes it's probably an early dinky toys racer pre war possibly.
Interesting little haul......... Never heard of Skybirds, so looked 'em up. Quite interesting. There was a Scammell like yours but with tyres and a cover on sale (I think the link was ebay) for 26 and a half quid, so somebody likes them.

Skybirds is a fantastic find! Pre-War - so careful when you strip that down! I would avoid caustic - might disintergrate!
Thanks very much my friend, the sky birds iam thinking a good scrub ,some half decent second hand tryes and a home made canopy, trying to keep it original
You have your hands full with this lot Martin .
Cheers Glyn yes I certainly do ,but it's great to have choices.
All the best Martin

J. hill was a big lead soldier manufacturer
Thanks very much for the information, my friend. It's really appreciated
Skybirds were built by a company called A.J. Halliday & Co. in the 1930s /40s. Some are thought to have been made by Britains.
Thanks very much for the information my friend its very helpful 😀
