So far I have loved the John Wick movies and have become a really big fan. Knowing Chapter 4 is coming out this month I wanted to make sure I was caught up with the story and watched Chapter 3 in time before the new one came out. I didn’t cry when I read about it. However, when I see it Saturday, I’m probably going to tear up in his first scene.
@@matthewgrady3423 I’m sure I’ll get all teary eyed, Lance was one of my favorite actors and that news hit me hard, is gonna be sad watching that movie and knowing it’s his last John wick movie and one of his last movies in general.

I FREAKING LOVED THIS! I have become such a big fan of John Wick over the past year. Ever since watching the first John Wick I have really been loving these movies and the story. Chapter 3 was packed with so much action and so many fight sequences it was just an absolute massacre. Amazing performances from Keanu Reeves, Halle Berry, Laurence Fishburne, Lance Reddick, Mark Dacascos, Ian McShane, Jerome Flynn --- they all absolutely slayed it! Needless to say I cannot wait to see Chapter 4! I hope you enjoy my reaction💖RIP Lance Reddick💖

Chapter 4 is 3 hrs, and nonstop insane action sequence from what I've heard.

In the theater, when that guy was getting knifed in the eyeball the reaction was universal. No human being can watch that scene for the first time without squinty eyed shock.
Huge kudos to Halley Barry, she learned all those skills for real, including working with the dogs. She is legit.
The two guys he fought at the end are on the fight choreography team and have starred in other movies. Yaya Ruhian was in an action movie called The Raid: Redemption. If you get a chance to watch it it has some of the most intense/cool fight scenes you will ever see.
I wasn't bothered by the eyeball kill, but then again I used to wear contacts for a few years, so I got used to being up close and personal with my eyes. I can still touch my eyeballs and it not bother me.
Those 2 guys are great, but that fight wasn't all that great, cause from watching the Raid everyone knows those guys would absolutely destroy John and it just looked kinda bad. One of the few things I didn't like about this film
Such a ride this movie was. Gotta say, Mark Dacascos was pretty funny as the fanboy assassin. He ended up like such a goofball...the two thumbs up and all....jeez. Liked the call back to The Matrix...."What do you need?" "Guns...Lots of Guns." Yes, this movie was an absolute massacre from the word Go. On a somber note: Lets all raise a glass to Lance Reddick (The Concierge Charon). He passed away yesterday at the age of 60. Lauren, Thank you so much for this. All the good stuff is here. Gold on Gold again. *chef's kiss* Peace and love Lauren. 🥰❤🧡✌🙏
It was probably very easy to play a fanboy since he was a genuine fan of Keanu Reeves.
The phrase that Winston says when John leaves following deconsecration of the Continental "Si vis pacem, para bellum" is an old Roman saying "if you want to see peace, be ready for war". It is a variant of the original saying "if you DESIRE Peace, PREPARE for War".

The first John Wick might still be my favorite, but Chapter 3 by far has the best action in the series so far. The ideas and the choreography are so unique, well thought out, and performed with great precision. Chapter 4 is right around the corner and the early reviews have been very positive. Can't wait to see you watch that one as well.
RIP Lance Reddick. His screen presence was powerful, and he's one of the best parts of the series.

I've always felt that the green lighting in the Continental gun fight was a hat tip to the Matrix as well.
When Winston asked “What do you need John?” And John replied with “Guns, lots of guns!” Thats so iconic from Keanu Reeves first matrix movie when they where getting ready to save Morpheus :D
The pencil, the book, etc etc etc, the best one hands-down is the horse kick. Absolutely awesome.

-I saw this in the theatre twice. As The Bowery King talked about “This High Table shit”, I started thinking, “Wait. No……” As he kept talking, I thought, “No! no way!” As soon as he asked John if he was pissed, I was thinking “Oh….God!” After John responded, it took every bit of restraint in my body to not yell,”THERE’S A FOURTH ONE……AND HE’S TAKING ON THE ENTIRE HIGH TABLE! “ That scene and Tatiana’s belt in “Pisces” are the two things that give me chills no matter what.
Great reaction! Winston aimed for Johns suit, which is bulletproof...if you look closely, you see the bullets hit Johns left shoulder. If Winston wanted to kill John for sure, he would have shot him in the head, with doing what he did, he gave John a chance of survival, while keeping his position.

Yeah that's the way I interpreted it as well. He needed to make it look like he was willing to kill john in order to maintain power but he didn't really want to kill him and was probably more relived then worried when john got away.

These films take on a whole new perspective when you contemplate that Winston has been the puppet master behind everything that has taken place because he wants to rule everything not just one branch of the continental.

Mark Dacascos (John's bald number one fan) is in a good movie called Drive (not to be confused with Ryan Gosling movie). It's got some great fight scenes. He was also in a terrific French film called Brotherhood of the Wolf. He was also the Iron Chef on the cooking show of the same name.
Hey Laurenn, as always great work. Winston knew that John would be wearing a vest. If he really wanted to kill him he would have gone for the head. I gotta admit they stretched my suspension of disbelief pretty far when John survived the fall though.

Also love that they got 2 of the antagonists from The RAID movies (2 more great movies you need to see) for the end fight in the glass room, I believe they had to slow down their moves to make Keanu look good😂. Defo looking forward to John Wick 4, they do like to leave things on a cliffhanger.
Saw a utube vid of Keanu doing 3 gun training. He's always been a good actor. And 3 gun is a fun sport in it's self
And in every movie he's used all 3 guns at one time or another.

What I've loved about the John Wick movies is that they've done what other sequels have not. Sequels usually either match or downgrade from the original. The John Wick movies? They've only gotten better & better. They've stepped it up on action, character development, the world itself, all of it. It really makes me look forward to 4.

JW4 comes out this weekend, but some of us assumed that Winston intentionally didn't kill John. Bulletproof clothing and possibly knowing what was in the alley to "cushion" the fall.

Mark Dacascos is a lot of fun to watch. My favourite movie with him in it is _Drive_ (1997). The co-star is Kadeem Hardison, and there is also a role from the late Brittany Murphy.

There is no way Keanu can physically keep doing these movies. The man has to have invested in Advil and Aleve stocks.
I saw where one of the stuntmen said that while the cameras were rolling, Keanu was John Wick. As soon as the scene was over and they yelled "Cut!", he instantly turned back into a 56 year old man, struggling for breath and recovering from the scene.
These are such great films! Complete brain popcorn movies. I loved the horseback bike chase scene in this, and the other bike chase, especially when he cuts the guys arm partially off and it's hanging down and gets caught in the bike chain and throws him off. That bit made me react loudly 🤣

You need to check out Keanus directorial debut with Man Of Tai Chi. Which he also stars in as the villain. Tiger Chen is the lead who also had a small part in The Matrix Reloaded.

While I still like the 1st one the best (so far, we'll see how4 is soon) I did really like the huge variety in the fights in this one. Not just gun fights, but anything. Doesn't matter if it's a knife, axe, book, horse, whatever... He'll end you with it.
Sofia and her dogs need their own John Wick Universe movie. Halle Berry could definitely pull it off.

You know, I’ve seen comments on a ton of videos about this movie, pointing out the “guns. Lots of guns” call back to The Matrix, but I have yet to see anyone connect that to the green lighting in the gun battle sequence that immediately follows.
There is a theory that Winston did John a favor of looking like John got killed so that way he can escape and live free now because Winston could of shot John at the head and instantly kill John on the spot but he didn't and he probably knew that Johns suit is bulletproof.

Winston saved John wick, Winston and Charon are loyal to wick that’s why Winston only shot at his blazer and not the head. Charon understood the trick and said ‘well played’, also in all the John Wick movies Charon serves wick all the time and gives him a priority.

The fight in the hall with knives was great, but little known fact, none of the cases had glass i n them, it was all CGI, great effects.

Marc Dacascos (the fanboy) was the star of Crying Freeman and one of the two guys that John fights in the glass room was a villain in The Raid. Two great films that I recommend for reactions.
Cecep Arif Rahman was the guy from The Raid 2. I met him at an Indonesian Martial Arts event in London a few years ago, such a nice and humble dude!
I do so enjoy your reactions! I don't know if this true, and I can't remember who told me this, but some say that Winston is John's father. That's why Winston cut John so much slack! Something to think about.

Winston was trying to save John as he knew the Adjudicator would've demanded John's life and would've kept the fights going. This way, John has a better chance at living with a head start.
