    Miele Dishwasher is Leaking -- How to Fix
    F70 MEANS WATER HAS LEAKED DOWN TO THE DRIP PAN BELOW THE DISHWASHER.
    COULD BE A LEAK FROM THE CIRCULATION PUMP, OR A LEAKING HOSE, OR AN INLET VALVE THAT WON'T FULLY CLOSE OR EVEN WATER FLOWING BACK FROM A FLOODED SINK.
    THIS VIDEO SHOWS HOW TO GET YOUR DISHWASHER RAISED UP ENOUGH TO LOOK UNDERNEATH DURING OPERATION TO SEE WHERE THE LEAK IS COMING FROM.

    Hi Scott,
    What a champion you are mate. I had F14 error motor impeller full of crap. Fixed.....
    Then I got F70 error so fixed the problem hose, I hadn’t clamped it properly then put dishwasher up on two blocks of wood. All working good.
    Cheers mate.....
    Happy wife happy life😀😀

    Thanks for your video, I found my leak alright, pump hose connector perished.
    Our unit is 12 years old and still looks brand new but parts of it are rotting away.
    I didn't have the regulation amnumision boxs, so I used blocks of wood and got it high enough to work under and managed to re join the rigid hose to the pump with some automotive hose.
    Something worth a mention, I laid the machine down onto a thick blanket ok, but when I lifted it back up again i snapped the front leg clean off, worth looking out for.
    Thanks again from the UK.

    Thank you. As per "humanati"'s comment: No disassembly needed, tilt dishwasher forward and any liquid in that area will leak out, and then it worked. My leak was caused by the top sprayer becoming dislodged and presumably flooding into that lower section, I clipped the arm back in, still F70, but tilting forward fixed the problem.

    My miele dishwasher is going through a cycle now standing on 2 wooden boxes and is well balanced. Done one cycle no leaks. When I took off the drip pan was wet and rusted . Must be a very small leak.... any ideas?

    Just a heads up, for G1xxx/G2xxx series Miele dishwashers, according to the service manual you should only tip them up onto their back, and never on its left side or the brine tank will leak into the cabinet.

      Thanks Scott I did your F14 error video and now gotten a F70 error code. So I'm hoping I can fix it. My hubby wouldn't do it so I took the initiative and now I have this code haha. I want to prove to him I can do it!

    • @Jedda73
      @Jedda73 Рік тому

      @@chanelleregnault1587 Looking at the diagrams it looks like brine can fill the water diverter and enter the cabinet. So you would want to do a couple of quick rinse cycles to clean it out. And if your have any leaks underneath, then clean the brine off with water to prevent corrosion.

    Just removed the frontpanel and found out there is some water under the dishwasher. Tried to move it forward to find the hoses are too short to get it out completely. Dried the little amount of water and started a short program to allow the dishwasher to empty the water inside. If it still malfunctions I need to get longer hoses to be able to test it outside of the cabinet... BTW excellent video

    • @JaapH
      @JaapH 4 роки тому

      Checking the sink cabinet this was pretty wet inside. The cause was a hose connecting to a small boiler with some kind of valve and that hose was full of *** and wet on the outside. Cleaned and dried the cabinet and cleaned that hose. Must have been the reason for the water to fill the dishwasher reservoir. #fingerscrossed

      not sure what it is called but it has a long tube and a rubber ball at the end that is squeezed to suck up coolant. I may have purchased from Walmart. Turkey baster may work also.

    Hi Scott, I have a Miele model that starts but then stop within a few seconds then all the program lights flash (but not the inlet, rinse and salt lights) and it beeps. I have cleaned out the non return valve and it is not leaking into the drip tray. Any pointers on it might be? My model doesn’t have a fault panel. Tom

    Hi Scott, 1st of all..thank you for the tips of the video, I clean up a few places on the hose except for the parts for the water intake. That is the part that is leaking out when I ran the rinse cycle. Can you tell me where I can find the parts to replace the hose? It’s clear and right behind the motor.

    There is a square exit chute on the bottom of the circulation motor. Do you know why it would be leaking from there?

  • @t4nkman

    I just slid the dishwasher out & tilted it forward. Water drained out & that fixed the issue. It had flooded because of back flow from the discharge outlet. Hope this helps someone.

  • @maxwang2537

    Great video as always. Thanks.
    One question, is this error triggered by the float switch on the sump pan (which if of course triggered by the water in the pan due to leakage)? I know this will turn on the drain pump. But it seems to me the drain pump is unable to drain the water in the pan. Is this correct?

    • @andrewrudge5652
      @andrewrudge5652 2 роки тому +1

      Yes mate. The float switch in the sump pan is for the error code only, there is no sump pump.

    • @QuickAndEasy5MinuteAppliance
      @QuickAndEasy5MinuteAppliance  2 роки тому

      You are totally correct👍
      It does turn off the fill valve and powers the pump non stop.
      If water is leaking in continuously into the tub from a bad fill valve it will pump that water out so it can’t flood the kitchen👍

    • @maxwang2537
      @maxwang2537 2 роки тому

      @@QuickAndEasy5MinuteAppliance thank you. However the drain pump doesn’t actually drain the water that’s already in the pan and triggered the error code. Correct?

    F70 and water dripping from the circulation pump square opening underneath.
    Unfortunately cleaning out impeller of circulation pump (so happy to find a small plastic piece), vasiline rubbers, tighten everything, did not do the trick.
    It continues to drip at the circulation pump.
    Do I need to buy a whole new pump (I disassembled twice and got together for testrun, I can do that) or just a particion part?
    Or a new dishwasher?
    It's expensive Miele, 6.5 years old, not happy.

    Hi Scott, I think your videos are brilliant and really helpful but I'm new on here how can I ask you a question? Do I do it on here or is there a way to email you. My float switch was activated, equivalent of F70 fault I suppose, and after getting my Miele (G 656 SC PLUS) up on bricks and taking the bottom and right hand side off I have found the cause, I think. There is this big tank on the right hand side with a solenoid on it half way up. Looking at the wonderful links you gave the tank is called the Water Intake mixer and it leaks like hell from around the solenoid (Water Control Valve, Y5) at the beginning of a run. I took the solenoid off and you are then left with this plastic probe looking part that twists and comes off. I have taken it off and there is a big black rubber ring which looks ok but is that the cause, if so what do I do? Can I just put vaseline on it or something else or do I need to replace the probe part or the rubber or what? It also has another rubber small part, which looks a bit scaled, could it be that? Can I get these individual parts or are they supplied with the tank part? Help please
