Hi,Scott!What can you say about F 79 at a Miele Dishwasher?
Usually unplugging the modular connectors for the circulation pump and spraying them with electrical cleaner will do it.
Sometimes you need to do the same for the wire connectors that plug into the controller that lives in the door. When they get a little corroded you’ll get that error.
Hi Scott - I appreciate you posting all of the fix-it videos for the Miele dishwashers. I have a 10 year old Meile Excella Model 2670 SCSF with a F14 Water Intake fault code. On normal cycle it throws the code just after about 2 minutes into the cycle. At that point the water is 1/4" below the filter handle. I already cleaned out the filter in the water intake WPS hose. I also tried adding extra water at around 1-1:30 into the cycle to bring the water level up to touching the filter handle and it still threw the code. When you open the door right when it throws the code, or prior to it, there is water coming down from all over the place, so I think that means the circulation pump is at least activating. Does this sound to you to likely be the heater/pressure switch? Are there any other diagnostics I can perform on it to confirm before I pull the machine out and open it up? The machine is very clean inside (below the filter screen. etc) with no build up visible. Thanks for any help on this.

Hi mate, thanks for the video. I had quite a few items stuck in the impellor. Now I have a new problem. Quick wash mode works fine but when it comes to normal wash, I get an error F84 when the first part of wash process is completed (~25 mins).
Any help you can give to this problem I have? Thanks

Hi and thanks so much for videos. I have a G1225SC eco, I had f14 error a week ago. Now at about 34 minutes from the end of the cycle it trips the circuit breaker. How could I know if is the pump or the heater switch the issue? Thank you very much :-)
Try running it without the dryer function to see if it still trips the breaker
Hi Scott! First of all thanks by your videos as they have been really helpful for everyone (needless to say). I have just bought a Miele G4931 sc jubilee second hand and after a couple of cycles I had the F14 error (don't know if it helps to say but I stopped the cycle before having the error to load with some more crockery and left the machine until morning). Looked in the manual and it said to simply restart the machine and try again. I have done it and run a gentle cycle (cause it was the fastest) and no error was displayed. I am wondering now if the error is really gone or if I need to do something to make sure the machine won't operate in such a way leading to further damages. Question is, what really is this error related to? Cause there is more than one answer related to the F14... What really prompt this error message?

Hi Tomaz, the circulation impeller was just stuck since it hadn’t been used for awhile.

Hello there, i would deffinately suspect the pressure switch for the heater in this case, the pressureswitch will be worn out faster than the motor usually, and even though the motor hasnt lost any pressure over the years the switch has lost the abillity to maintain pressure for the whole cycle because there might be a leak in the internal seal that keeps make the contact for the switch so i would try replacing that pressure switch anyway, ive seen this problem a lot in both old and newer miels dishwashers.

Hi ...I have a Miele g1270 and it throws up a e51 fault.. I have taken the pressure switch off and was wondering if there is a test for it...I can blow it and hear the switch operate but it takes a lot of pressure is this right ?

I just purchased a new Miele Dishwasher and got the F14 error directly after installation. Its only been test run, never with any food in it or something to block the impeller. Any ideas?

I think the impeller seal is sticking and causing the error.
Can you add a pot of boiling water and 3 caps full of rinse aid and let it sit for 20 minutes and then try it.

I have a new miele futura classic plus dishwasher and after just one year, f14 error only on normal cycle, and dishes are not being cleaned well on any cycle, even after being washed thoroughly. I was told by miele to try cleaning the dishwasher with a cleaning agent and running it on sani wash. I did this three times and still does not work. Very disappointing and unexpected after spending all this money. Of course I did not purchase the extended warranty as did not think it would break so soon.

My dishwasher is only 4 years old is the motor really garbage in need of replacement if I get this error code?
I think it might just be overloaded. Can you try poring in a pot of boiling water with a 1/4 cup of vegetable oil and let it sit for 20 minutes and then try it.
Fix these all the time. The motors never fail. They are induction motors with auxiliary winding for the start.. usually all that fails is the start capacitor which is a few pounds only.

They’re tough motors.
@@ScottTheFixItGuyChannel very unlikely an induction motor will fail. Really all that can fail is the bearing itself as the core is a solid winding with no commuter or brushes so as you see unless the bearing has failed or the winding has broken down due to maybe becoming conducive between the cores they simply won't fail. I have a compressor with a induction motor on from the 50s still running. Checking the ohms between the windings with a low ohms meter or a Megger will determine if there is electrical breakdown between the windings. Usually on these dishwashers it's the pressure switch or heating element that fails. If the motor fails to start check the start capacitor which is usually about 4uf.
They absolutely fail. I have seen quite a few of them.
@@MichaelRei99 never had one fail. I ly by overheating and that's because the insulation broke down. I am a domestic appliance engineer. I've been fixing this stuff since 1990 and usually it's the start capacitor packs up .

Getting a F14 error code on my Miele dishwasher with inlet drain flashing. Tried cleaning the filter, checked for any blockages (where the metal ball is), poured a litre of warm water and some rinse aid into the filter, turned off on mains, ran on empty - and still have the issue.
The cycle runs for about an hour then stops and errror appears, There’s no water built up.
Do you know what the problem is?
Time for a new Heater/Pressure switch.
Hi Scott, thanks for the videos from Germany. Scince a couple of weeks our diswasher stopp sometimes with F14 error. Now every time it stopped with F14 after the program had run for 12 minutes. The water is pumped out every time as normal. The F14 error occur after 1 minute of pumping out the water.
We cleaned the impeller with pulling through an rolled up kitchen paper, no effect. We clean up the water drain of the citchen, no effect.Then we interchanged the one way valve to a new one. One select short cycle in 24 minutes the disher runs without problems up to the end of the cycle.
The next full cycle (1:46) runs 12 minutes up the first pumping out after the first wash start. The display indicate F14 blinking error but then pumps out all water as normal and stop.
Any idea what to do?
Remark: Is it normal the disher takes water and wait several time at the beginning of the cycle?
Hi, I dismantle the circulation pump following your video. The impeller of the pump is boken into 2 parts. The vortex inlex and front cover of the impeller was only stick with a few 1 mm plastic thorns together with the impeller. The vortex are loose and brake the pump sometimes.
I will interchange the pump part.
