    I have a F78 fault. I’ve cleaned filter, including removing ball-bearing section, plus added boiling water with rinse aid etc. The dishwasher pumps all water out but won’t pull water in. Any ideas?

    Dear Scott! Not super camera, but super teaching. Greetings from Czechia, from owner G 590 SCi (Nr. 15...), used from 1990 until today. I have no chance to get off the turbine from the shaft. But I will be trying it again and again. (-; Because of its incredible vitality! (-;

      You can do it, just make sure you put a small flat screwdriver in the back to keep the motor from turning while you unscrew the impeller.

    Hi Scott, I found that I need the heater coil on the circ. pump motor and I found a 240v, but mine is 120v. They look exactly the same, and I'm wondering what the possible difference could be?

      It should work for your 110 volt power👍

      I was talking to my hvac buddy and he said it would work but @ 120 volts (1/2 the voltage) a 240 volt element will only put out 1/4 of the power. @@ScottTheFixItGuyChannel

    Hi Scott ! Your videos are amazing !! I have a G841 with the dreaded intake / drain red light blinking. The machine drains water fine, and fills like normal. I’ve tried the fork trick - I can feel the impeller moving with not much effort on the fork. There was water in the drip pan. I’ve dried that out, and supposedly reset the error codes ( holding the Start button in for 5 seconds with the knob in Stop position, then power it off and on again), poured boiling water in the bottom to try to free up any hidden gunk. Do you think the problem may be the circulation pump (failed for some reason ?) Or replace the partition kit / gasket like in this video? Why would water get into the drip pan?
    You are an absolute hero to all us fix-it yourself people. Thank you for any advice. Jim

      Thanks so much Jim,
      Sometimes water can flow back from the sink through the drain line and flood the drip pan or the fill valve can not fully close and flood the pan or you could have a leak from the partition.

      You can remove that lower pan and watch as the dishwasher starts to see if you notice dripping onto the drip pan.

      Hi Scott -
      I’ve dried out the drip pan and see no new dripping. What do you think the next step should be? Very happy to pay you for advice. Thanks for any help. -Jim

      Hi Scott - Where do you order your replacement parts from? It sounds like I might need the partition kit as well as the run capacitor. How can you tell if the motor itself is shot? Thanks ! Jim

    Hello! I'm asking for your help. I would like to start an old Miele g 641. Unfortunately the old aquastop is completely missing. I don't know where to connect the new system's electrical cable from another device. In the video, I see that the black power cable passes through the bottom of the maze, but I couldn't find its connector. Could you send a photo or a drawing about it? Thank you very much! Hi, Zoli from Hungary.

    Hi Scott, Ended up having two problems with the Miele G896 SCI Plus dishwasher. The circulation pump was leaking, but after installing the new partition kit with impeller, water was still leaking into the drip pan from somewhere. Finally found the leak, it was coming from the level control. The plastic on the level control had worn thin and had an invisible crack. So ordered a new level control from Miele, replaced it last night and no more leaks! Dishwasher is working great again thanks to you and your videos! Thanks for answering all my questions and for all your help!

      @@ScottTheFixItGuyChannel Hi Scott, Still have the dishwasher pulled out. Ran it two more times while it's pulled out, now seeing water (about 4 or more tablespoons) leaking from the outside back right lower corner from a rectangular white plastic pipe that measures 2 ¼ inch tall by ¾ inches wide (it is flush with the outside rear panel and is near the bottom right corner). I can feel water in the bottom of the rectangular pipe and directly below the pipe is the water on the floor (it is not dripping into the drip pan). I can also see what appears to be white soap scum in the pipe and some crusted soap scum staining directly below the pipe onto the rear panel and more staining that runs horizontally along the bottom edge of the full width of the back of the washing machine. Is this some type of overflow or weep hole that needs to be cleaned or could there be another part giving out or that needs to be cleaned? I looked online and in the repair manual and can't find any information about this issue. I looked through some of your videos and couldn't find any repair that mentioned this leaky rectangular pipe on the right bottom rear of the dishwasher problem. Looks like I need your expert guidance again. Your help is very much appreciated. Thank you.

      @@ScottTheFixItGuyChannel I talked to a Miele technician. He said he believes that the rectangular pipe is a vent. He said he believes the vent is connected to the intake (he said it’s very difficult to see in the technical manual). He said there may be a leak on my intake somewhere and that is what is causing the water to drip out of that vent. He said to check the intake.

      @@ScottTheFixItGuyChannel Did some more research. I think the leak may be coming from the Solenoid valve Y5 which appears to be the Water Hardness Mixer Solenoid. It is in the intake area on the right side of the dishwasher. It appears the solenoid is on the plus models only (they have the water softener). Going to try to take off the right panel this weekend to see if the o-ring on the water hardness mixer solenoid is leaking somehow into the intake vent, on the back bottom right corner of the dishwasher.

    • @woodymoto2326
      @woodymoto2326 5 років тому

      @@ScottTheFixItGuyChannel Hi Scott, I took apart the right side of the dishwasher. The water is coming from the water inlet mixer rectangular Vent and leaking onto the floor behind the dishwasher (not into the drip pan). The rectangular Vent vents out to the outside back lower right of the dishwasher. It spits out about two table spoons of water (sometimes a little more or less) onto the floor, behind the machine, at cycle start up and then right around the drying cycle. Water is not dripping or leaking from anywhere else. It's definitely coming from this water mixer vent and dripping from the vent, off the back of the machine, onto the floor.
      My question is: Is this small water leak, coming from the mixer vent that exhausts to the back of a Miele G896sci Plus, normal operation? In other words, should this vent spit a small amount of water out of it, onto the floor, during start up and drying cycle?
      I've asked this question to Miele and called repair shops and no one seems to know if it is normal for that vent to spit water out or what would cause it to do it if it's not normal. They didn't even know that vent existed until I directed them to where the water inlet mixer vents to the outside of the dishwasher. Any help on this would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

    Thanks for reply. How do I know it’s not the motor and not just a “partition kit” . 15 year old unit and they want a $1000 for motor. My motor does not run after fill.

    • @ScottTheFixItGuyChannel
      @ScottTheFixItGuyChannel  6 років тому

      Hi Thomas,
      If the motor does not run after It feels then it’s most likely not the partition kit.
      It’s probably the impeller is stuck against the partitions seal.
      At some bottles you can reach in with a fork and get the impeller to rotate again.
