Miele circulating pump, removal and installation / Miele-Umwälzpumpe, Aus- und Einbau

The old pump on my Miele G5830 SCi from 11/2011 was leaking and as I could not change the seal, I had to replace the pump itself.
The pump cost €300 and seeing as this dishwasher cost about €2000 at the time, I wanted to repair is as to purchase a new cheaper one.
I have to mention that the new pump I received was also defective! Waiting to see what Miele say now. But I hope that these instructions can help somebody else.
This is my first video so I hope that everything is clear.
Take note that I unplugged the machine first!!!
Die alte Pumpe an meiner Miele G5830 SCi von 11/2011 war undicht und da ich die Dichtung nicht wechseln konnte, musste ich die Pumpe austauschen.
Die Pumpe hat 300 € gekostet, und da der Geschirrspüler damals etwa 2000 € gekostet hat, wollte ich ihn reparieren, um eine neue, billigere Pumpe zu kaufen.
Ich muss erwähnen, dass die neue Pumpe, die ich erhalten habe, ebenfalls defekt war! Ich warte jetzt ab, was Miele dazu sagt. Aber ich hoffe, dass diese Anleitung jemand anderem helfen kann.
Dies ist mein erstes Video, ich hoffe, dass alles klar ist.
Beachte, dass ich die Maschine zuerst vom Stromnetz getrennt habe!!!

Thanks so much! Great help for removing the pump. Together with another video I was able to repair the pump (glue the impeller).

Thanks, yes, I looked for ages which is why I did this. Unfortunately I had to get rid of the machine because the pump was unrepairable.

I replaced the seal with a proper fitting o-ring . It was difficult to find because most of the stock o-rings are too thick. I went to a specialist who sells o-rings of all types and sizes. Cost me 15 cents , and everyrthing works great.

I also tried to repair the pump but glued it back together too strongly after replacing the gasket as well. Unfortunately I did something wrong and it still leaked at the bottom where the cage is. I miss my Miele.

@@michaelharris1535 I also contemplated putting a sealant like silicon but decided to do it as a last resort. I was optimistic in using a proper fitting O-ring. , which is not that easy to source. Finding the original washer was not an option , Miele took that out of the equation.

Did you get a second replacement pump? Did that solve the issue, or was it some other issue?

Thanks a lot. I did want to have the pump replaced on guarantee but Miele did not want to. I found that the price of the pump was too expensive for the age of the dishwasher (8years) so I sent the replacement pump back and just bought a cheaper dishwasher reduced for €450. I found it a shame as the Miele was a really good machine.

Curious if you were getting an F79 code. My Miele dishwasher is displaying that code during a certain cycle.

I can´t remember which code I got, it just turned itself off because water accumulated in the sump where the float is. And I think that when water is there, it doesn´t sporadically go on and off.

Hi, I had to purchase it from Miele directly. I am not sure if there is any aftermarket pump for this. I just did not want to take the chance of purchasing the pump and then it going wrong. I do miss my machine though. I bought a cheap Bauknecht for 600€ and i could throw it away because it is already falling apart.
