Ultravox's performance is so underated. Midge smashes the vocals .. brilliant.
Agreed
Midge Ure literally putting the meaning into "Ultravox", amazing vocals
Incredibly under rated vocalist.
Midge's voice was off the charts that day, the stadium arena isn't exactly suited for Ultravox, like it is for U2 and Queen, but damn listen to Midge, he made Ultravox's set great with that amazing voice.
🤩 I remember this song coming out! And them singing it during the concert.
I did absolutely NOTHING that day but watch bands perform. It was the greatest day ever!
You, lucky one!!
I was just a little Italian girl in 1985 ... I would really have been there ... but my parents told me: "what????" 😂😂😂
God, I wish I could travel back and have my last 30 years on earth starting from 1984 again... I hate every year since 2015.
I feel exactly the same. 2015 was the last good year. (Coincidentally, I started 2015 by going to see Midge URE in concert. Coincidence? 😊)
Agreed. Good shout. 2015 all downhill since then
Lost my dad end of 2015 so I’m with you there
Okay, but you would be dead now
The beauty of this entire concert and its effort makes me cry.
None of today's "music" could ever make me cry.
Younger generations will never clue in - and I feel sorry for them all.......................
amen to that
Man....I miss Ultravox! 😢
I remember watching this as a 7 year old kid and being most impressed by Ultravox.
Midge has always had an amazing set of pipes on him - seen him live many many times and also in a couple of weeks time at the Royal Albert Hall to celebrate his 70th!
One day where I didnt die a thousand times... powerful voice for those suffering.
I bought this when it came out and played it endlessly.
But I was listening to it the other day and it's only now I realise what it's about. Blimey, I could have done with those words during my dark times.
Well, they're with me now.

This wipes the floor with the studio version!
...and that's a pretty damn good song itself.
Awesome live Version.
Great performance from the brilliant Ultravox. :)
Absolutely magical. Good times. Ultravox were such an inovative and creative group. Lucky to see Midge Ure live last week. Also fantastic.
Outstanding performance!!!!!!!!!!
Midge Ure, Voice of my beloved Vienna❤️. Lovely Greets from Austria, Vienna!
One day that ment so much to so many people
Love how you guys are making an effort to upload performances that weren't on the DVD set. Thanks!
Ultravox's performance was my favorite part of Live Aid. Thanks you for the upload.
Folks don't realise how many brilliant performances there were on that day.utravox were awesome.its wasn't just the Freddie Mercury show you know.
What a singer.
Midge's voice echoing is so awesome. This performance is just so awesome. So much better than the ones from the tv broadcasts no offense but that is my opinion.
Thanks to Midge and the band.
He’s got skills on the guitar 👍🏻
Wonderful Ultravox!
The drums are awesome!
Absolutely! The mighty Warren Cann!!
Other notable drummers up beside him are Stewart Copeland, Gary Husband ,Phil Gould, Nigel Glockler and Pete Ray Biggin.
Warren Cann is a great drummer. Those fills he plays (in all Ultravox songs) are like bullets and a big part of the songs for me.
Fantastic Midge & Ultravox ❤ what a day that was 🌟🔝🎵❤
Love the bass sound in this song. Good old P-bass.
Meine Güte,ich habe Ultravox in Wien im Stadtsaal gesehen. Mitte der 80er Jahre mit meinem damaligen Freund und es war unfassbar schön. Danke Michael
My best 80s song
演奏開始と後半のオーディエンスの反応の違いからも分かるように、
これをテレビでオンタイムで見た時からUltravoxが好きになりました。
今でも聴いています。
I'm not very good at English.
When I was a junior high school student, I actually watched Live Aid on time, but I still listen to it.
INCREIBLE COMO SONO ULTRAVOX!!!!!!
I didn't understand the power of these words in the 80's
Best act of the day....UK or US! 👍🏻👍🏻🤘🏻
80's music > any other music (i'm 24 from 1999 and so sad i couldn't live through these times :/ )
Such an amazing set!
I remember watching and thinking "He cut off the ponytail!" 😊
I know!
So did I!
Performance of the day for me. Loved their set.
Fantastic
One of my favourite Ultravox songs. Ironic title given the event.

WOW ! ...GREAT !
Pauvre France. La télévision française n'as pas diffusée le set d'ultravox. J'ai du attendre plus de dix ans avant de le voir en vidéo. Midge ure est un chanteur et musicien avec un incroyable talent. !! Je l'ai rencontré personnellement. Il est d'une très grande gentillesse.
I fucking love Ultravox ❤
Love it! Incredibly soultouching❤️
There was a good reason when it was time to pick the 1st singer for "do they know it's Christmas" they chose Midge Ure! Outstanding performance!
He wrote the song!
Awesomeness 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
That was my Wembley, that was my song.
I was in Columbus GA. USA, but Midge and Ultravox were my best memory of Live Aid.
Ein kurzer Tag ... one small day ... this day!!!
Chris, cool as f*ck, as always. RIP.
Good stuff 👍🏽
Buena canción en vivo
Great group still playing the CD to this day ❤❤❤❤

This was the first performance of the day as I recall
Nope 1st up was Status Quo.
One day e per sempre...💕
Il più grande concerto Rock della storia della musica. Meraviglioso.
Please up Nik Kershaw The Riddle 🙏🏼
This track is amazing
🍃Hi!! One small day - mans million!! Yes,yes,it,s true!! I can see it!!😱

I like Warren's drumming. It's almost as if he is a drum machine turned to flesh.

Man, Edward Norton can sing!

Geldof got all the glory, but midge was also the man behind Live Aid.

Ripping guitar solo from Midge, just like on the rekkid!
Where is the "Vienna" song ?
🤟🏼
Sounds very similar to Freddie Mercury 😱😱😱
E.T.H.HOFFMAN HI
Anyone know what Midge is playing? Is it a custom strat ? Does he still play that now? Never seen a guy match his guitar to his outfit that day other than Prince.

Dear Channel! Can you please make Full Video Queen and Freddie Mercury??? 🙏🙏🙏
Just Type In Live Aid Queen 🤔🤨🧐
There are already like 1000 queen videos, who do not know any more presentations

I am against charity events on principle. I find them hypocritical and a pretext to advertise one's band. Depeche Mode were right not to participate.
38 years too late for this one fella
