That's a really great tutorial. It's just meant for people who are familiar with after effects, not beginners who need a detailed explanation about every little step. Liked and subbed ;)
95% of comments say thanks for the work that good, but they didn't finish this project. To much fail of the tuto and u dont explain essential things like to put the nul object "poi" to a 3D Layer. That a bit sad to see all of this work and talent destroy with bad explanations
Been smashing my head on the desk for the last hour trying to get the camera to lock onto 'POI' you just fixed it with one small piece of info. Thank you!
Unfortunate. The purpose of the tutorial is not to teach, but to sell the project, as we see when arriving at 2:46 of the video. I confess that I was frustrated with not being able to finish. My difficulty, was to put the comic book texture in the 3D project ....
I tried watching this tutorial because it has incredible potential. However it appears you're moving through this tutorial faster than Dr. Strange could calculate potential outcomes for the Avengers... Try taking a breath and hard focusing on even the smallest of details. Not all of us can move as fast as you. Hope this helps :)
This guy makes graphics look easy, although agree very much so with Chris below, goes from one section to another very quickly.Maybe that was his idea though, as i find when your stuck by experimenting we find new things out.
Right...Video goes like this...Create a new composition fghfgdshfhfdughaufgdfgdgfdafgdsiofgfhasff/;fc9qcfnr'rewnje0nf r,m23nmuwememrmj]vrvwe,vr=-weri,v,o-wero,vterimtutmbrtvbubvntbv0ntermtv-m-ervtbi,tbpet-etb-er,tb.ert,.bvttb,ermi,ter-tb,k-q.,v,tb90emtb,re-tb,iert-.etbq,tbieq-t,iq-i,ttib,eqwr-b,ir.qr,.w0r,mwbiqqqqqqqqqqqqwei untbnmremgbqemtqertmberqm te-eb0tmreb tertqb ,qre0t,b eerqt,er,itemyermerqbrmqter,qtem,5er,ktjhrtyjk[per6j45h95u6m0itrewt=0,werrm6be-,y0mty,iir=b.rebre ,knertnb,tb,mnb]ernb,i\bnb,ibn,\eoel.nbn,kb-n,=ny,tr=, Like and subscribe
To be fair, I understood it all and I also appreciate a tutorial that doesn't hold my hand through every tiny detail. I do have a little bit of experience though, if that isn't the case with you (and the rest commenting for that matter).
I have given you a thumbs up for a great tutorial. However, despite me going over this a few times, you kept losing me going way too fast, and the loud music coming in made it difficult to hear what you were saying and distracting. Something that Andrew Kramer of Video CoPilot and Red Giant doesn't do during their tutorials. And takes the time to explain the process. I'm not sure why you felt the need to rush through many key and important elements and wish you well.
I did this I’m Blender. It was very easy. Toughest part was creating the jittery film, which was just 5 super impossed tracks offset by 400ms with 30% opacity. Blender is a great way to get true 3D
This is hard af, this tutorial absolutely not for amateurs, i'm newbie and rarely use After Effect, but I need to make an intro like this, and I watch this video but i have no idea how to do it even after i watched to the end of video, it was too fast and don't explain enough details for newbie like me
The Step in 6:00 does not work, I select the custom layer and it doesn't show anything, it's still white. And in the step before when I assign it as a Map Layer, in your video appear in white and my video put the comic as a layer...
I did something very similar in Blender (you can watch in on you youtube channel if you're curious) but I wasn't able to get the changing pictures :( So it's just a boring red and gold Well, I'd SO do this if I had AE and Element3D Great video guys!
The video was very good! But I have a question, how did you make that transition of images applied to the letters in 3D? I couldn't understand this step
Nice intro ! , but I don't understand from 4:15 because the camera seems to have another target point, so I can't move it like you, how should i do it ? ;)
I had the same problem, you have to click the 3d layer (the box) in the POI layer in your timeline. Don't know if you still need the info, but I hope this helped.
Guys chill. It’s meant so we can’t do it ourselves and pay for the template. this made me pay for element 3D. You could’ve made some profit out of it cuz you made it very convincing that it was easy until I tried. Anyways maybe I’ll figure it out if I dig into the program itself. 🤙 Ok I figured it out lol. It was nice that he skipped some of the steps. It made think real hard. Good tutorial 👍
seeing that this is over a year old some information has changed. In the video, it says to go to footage crate for the download. Okay, but you have to look under the After Effects section as the page has several sections to search under. Also, my initial findings are that there is no FREE registration although there is an option to choose so and one would get a free daily download. As I began to register it then took me to a $10 donation page. Mmmm no, I like the free trial and see how this works first. So I go back the Marvel Title click download and I am at my limit. Search my computer and no file. Like many have said nice work but it appears to be only for show and not for use...unless you pay.
please help when i try to import the video to the box and the letters i click the video in textures diffuse it just doesnt show up it is selected but i cant see the comics video on top of it
I did this, and it ended up fantastic. I will say if you are not experienced on after effects, it will be hard. Also, read the comments because this guy leaves out some details
i don't understand, my position only has x and y value and even if i have linked the point of interest of the camera to the position of the null, the camera didn't pivot as you have said and as i see the POI of the camera still doesn't change though i have done what you said
nice one nut i have a great problem here. when i viewed the top, left, right , etc with the camera is always on the front view. why is that?. unlike yours, if you choose like for example top, it will show you the 3D top view. mine's not like it. send help please
Hi man, I was trying to follow but I'm just missing that expresion point of interest under transform on the camera layer, the one that you parent to the POI null. What am I doing wrong? my camera shows position orientation etc, but not any expresions so I'm stuck. Great tutorial btw, but hard to folow when everything is speeded up...
Sorry you did not earn my subscription. I got the flipping pages effect done but the tutorial kinda nose dives from there and it's very difficult to understand.
The quality of the work is very good, but unfortunately the tutorial seemed to rushed to catch a flight. Could have slowed down and important tips needs to be emphasized. This could have hit the bulls eye but i give 5/10 for the rushing explanation and 50% going over my head before realizing that the tutorial is already finished.
Good tutorial, but it's waaaay to fast paced for me lol. I couldn't tell what you were doing in some parts and felt like you missed a few steps in the video. I don't think it's a bad thing to have longer videos -- especially when the word "tutorial" or similar phrase is in the title.
ok, i have the weirdest error: Just like you do at 4:36 , when i hit play to see the camera movements nothing happens. So I stop and just drag the cursor on the timeline to see if the null object is moving. And IT IS! but the camera isn't, it stands still only for the first few seconds, and then it starts to follow normally and fully show the title.. it's driving me crazy! any clue?
The only thing I'm struggling with is the lens flare at the end? How do I get it to show without the solid layer blocking out the rest of the animation?
For some reason when I parent my camera's point of interest to the null it doesn't work? No error messages or anything but the camera doesn't auto orient itself to the POI null? Any ideas?
What happens between step 2 & 3???. In the composition appears an adjustment layer, null,... of nowhere!!! Also when you open the object 'element' there are 2 Group Folder, not 1 like in step 2. So confusing...
where do i get that red material? the one says "paint_red" i have some red materials but it's not like yours, i want a plain shiny red. EDIT: nvm i got it
This tutorial is good and I'm able to do all the things in the video, however you speak really fast and the instructions are unclear if im not giving my full 100% attention (which is unlikely because I'm trying to follow along in my own project)
I'm making a much better version of this intro, that's actually like the Marvel 3-D intro, in Cinema4D now, it's almost done. When I'm finished I'll make a tutorial with links.
That's a really great tutorial. It's just meant for people who are familiar with after effects, not beginners who need a detailed explanation about every little step.
Liked and subbed ;)
I am a beginner and still trying to figure out the steps lol I gotta do this one for my project
Finally a normal tutorial for normal after effects users! in 2 minutes I knew everything I needed to know, thanks!
Thank you!
your my hero dude!!!
dude can u explain?
Unfortunate. The purpose of the tutorial is not to teach, but to sell the project, as we see when arriving at 2:46 of the video. I confess that I was frustrated with not being able to finish. My difficulty, was to put the comic book texture in the 3D project ....
Exactly

i agree here
Exactly
2 intros in 1 episode.
F**king Awesome
i thought about trying this myself but you guys made a tutorial that looks almost perfects so now i dont have to!
This guy makes graphics look easy, although agree very much so with Chris below, goes from one section to another very quickly.Maybe that was his idea though, as i find when your stuck by experimenting we find new things out.
This was the sickest tut Ive ever seen
Man, this was spot on! Well played! Thank you for putting this together.
Dang, I thought it was gonna be so bad, but whoa... that’s good man
Excellent Video. Easy enough to follow and plus we have the glorious pause button if we got lost! You gained a sub!
Is this ironic? He definetly didn't explain all important things
Best tutorial I've saw in a while!!!
What a great video. So quick and pro... and badass. Much obliged, brother!
Amazing tut...but, you need to slow down. you kinda rushed a-lot and it wasn't easy to follow
kudos....
yes...he was rushing, I couldn't understand the half of the video. But appreciate the GREAT WORK!!!
Right...Video goes like this...Create a new composition fghfgdshfhfdughaufgdfgdgfdafgdsiofgfhasff/;fc9qcfnr'rewnje0nf r,m23nmuwememrmj]vrvwe,vr=-weri,v,o-wero,vterimtutmbrtvbubvntbv0ntermtv-m-ervtbi,tbpet-etb-er,tb.ert,.bvttb,ermi,ter-tb,k-q.,v,tb90emtb,re-tb,iert-.etbq,tbieq-t,iq-i,ttib,eqwr-b,ir.qr,.w0r,mwbiqqqqqqqqqqqqwei untbnmremgbqemtqertmberqm te-eb0tmreb tertqb ,qre0t,b eerqt,er,itemyermerqbrmqter,qtem,5er,ktjhrtyjk[per6j45h95u6m0itrewt=0,werrm6be-,y0mty,iir=b.rebre ,knertnb,tb,mnb]ernb,i\bnb,ibn,\eoel.nbn,kb-n,=ny,tr=, Like and subscribe
fuck yeah hahaha lol.
rico ricardo haha ok we'll make sure things are more clear for other tuts like this!
To be fair, I understood it all and I also appreciate a tutorial that doesn't hold my hand through every tiny detail. I do have a little bit of experience though, if that isn't the case with you (and the rest commenting for that matter).

Is there a way to do this with a actual video on the 3d letters instead of an image sequence?
I did this I’m Blender. It was very easy. Toughest part was creating the jittery film, which was just 5 super impossed tracks offset by 400ms with 30% opacity. Blender is a great way to get true 3D
Is there any reference tutorial?
If you cant find the point of interest option in the camera, Make sure when you create the camera, you have selected the two node option. :)
This is hard af, this tutorial absolutely not for amateurs, i'm newbie and rarely use After Effect, but I need to make an intro like this, and I watch this video but i have no idea how to do it even after i watched to the end of video, it was too fast and don't explain enough details for newbie like me
this Moment when you notice this isn't the real shin lim...
What ever, this is still a nice video
u are real fast bro! its hard to catch up sometime
but u technical are most efficient!!!
Damn, you were so fast I had to play it at 0.25 speed to understand the tutorial
The Step in 6:00 does not work, I select the custom layer and it doesn't show anything, it's still white. And in the step before when I assign it as a Map Layer, in your video appear in white and my video put the comic as a layer...
I also really liked the music! Thanks for letting us know what u used!
did you got the audio ?
I was not expecting that! Whew! :D
Totally using this in my next video
Thank you so much this I was looking for !!!
Sick video! Is there a way to do this without the paid 3D plug-in or is there a free version of it somewhere?
I did something very similar in Blender (you can watch in on you youtube channel if you're curious) but I wasn't able to get the changing pictures :(
So it's just a boring red and gold
Well, I'd SO do this if I had AE and Element3D
Great video guys!
U cut all the important things..
I dislike this video..
The video was very good! But I have a question, how did you make that transition of images applied to the letters in 3D? I couldn't understand this step
mate did you figure out how he did that? cuz I couldn't understand either
Nice intro ! , but I don't understand from 4:15 because the camera seems to have another target point, so I can't move it like you, how should i do it ? ;)
i got the same problem, this dude dont respond the comment section. so sad
I got the same problem Bro!
I had the same problem, you have to click the 3d layer (the box) in the POI layer in your timeline. Don't know if you still need the info, but I hope this helped.
@MyBlueGenes I could not follow what you typed. Could you please explain again?
i figured it out~ when u set the camera, make sure it is 35mm. Hope it help~
So epic! I've seen so many people attempt this, and it always looks...well...sucky.
You hit the nail on the head guys ;)
Your Is Better Than Marvel Studios 😊😊😊
Guys chill. It’s meant so we can’t do it ourselves and pay for the template. this made me pay for element 3D. You could’ve made some profit out of it cuz you made it very convincing that it was easy until I tried. Anyways maybe I’ll figure it out if I dig into the program itself. 🤙
Ok I figured it out lol. It was nice that he skipped some of the steps. It made think real hard. Good tutorial 👍
This is a great video and the instructions are super helpful, but the music is so loud at points that I can barely hear what you're saying.
why I dont have that rope icon that "point expression" must join to null? 3:41
i'm using Ae2018 version
Right click on the headers where it says things like "Layer Name" and "Mode" in your comp and activate the Parent & Link column.
seeing that this is over a year old some information has changed. In the video, it says to go to footage crate for the download. How about hitfilm express or hitfilm Pro?
I think you can do it in pro, but not express because you need to do 3d camera and text
Thanks bro!!! It came out good!!
please help when i try to import the video to the box and the letters i click the video in textures diffuse it just doesnt show up it is selected but i cant see the comics video on top of it
ua-cam.com/video/3egV7J5Nfg0/v-deo.html
Really Great Video!!! Thank you so much for sharing this!!! Can you tell me where we can get your marvel intro song audio?
Very EPIC, good job Adrian!!
Can you substitute still comic book images with short video clips?
this tutorial was the best :) thanks.. but the thing is.. i need to install the element3d plugin.............
That is awesome.. I ma love it!!!!!! I cant explain how am i can be like u if i can be like u.. 😍😅
Love the video but you should have explained in more detail certain steps for those who are new to after effects 😔
you were so fast I had to play it at 0.25 speed to understand the tutorial,
thank you
It took me half an hour to figure out I had to use After Effects instead of Premiere Pro, lol. Kept searching for the composition button.
The music in this video is really distracting and makes you hard to hear.
wow amazing!! i like it
I did this, and it ended up fantastic. I will say if you are not experienced on after effects, it will be hard. Also, read the comments because this guy leaves out some details
good job thanks for your hard work
Great tutorial only a bit too fast and unclear at some points
i don't understand, my position only has x and y value and even if i have linked the point of interest of the camera to the position of the null, the camera didn't pivot as you have said and as i see the POI of the camera still doesn't change though i have done what you said

This is amazing!!!!
Is there a way to create this effect without element 3D? I just can't afford that.
Alt-click the POI and it will give you the pick whip to parent it to the null
ProductionCrate thank you
I have a problem with the texture, it doesn't show up pls help :)
cool Intro
Very nice tutorial :D ! But can I do it if I don't have Element 3D :/ ?
Sorry you did not earn my subscription.
I got the flipping pages effect done but the tutorial kinda nose dives from there and it's very difficult to understand.

Can I have the source file for this to help finish it?
The only thing I'm struggling with is the lens flare at the end? How do I get it to show without the solid layer blocking out the rest of the animation?
change your blending mode to 'add'
I really want to swear , cause you just jump the step , I don’t know why , and it is tutorial not a show , please slow down!!!!
bcoz all pics should be in same pic to sync up right
Wow ! Perfect
my element 3d layer isn't rotating when i rotated camera 90 degree, why? shoulf i make the element 3d layer a 3d layer in ae?
A W E S O M E , THANK YOU !
Dude you talk too fast!!! I got lost after making the new solid. Where do you go after you make the new solid?
Ayt I give up. Where do you get this brushed metal texture for your 3D text ?
Hi Can you tell me where you got the Marvel audio from?
Results are amazing but the tutorial was a bit fast and unclear. For future tutorials please slow down.
bro my camera is not focusing on Null Object i tried ur method plz help
Hit P on the null to open up Position. Pick Whip it to the position instead of just the Null.
How did you make the bevel go down for the text towards the end. I am having issues trying to make it go down in element.
cool tutorial bro nice
Dude....can u just tell me what's that sphere model for....???(pinged in element 3d group 1)
When I drag the camera so it's next to the text, it's not focused onto the null that I had created earlier. Please help!
For some reason when I parent my camera's point of interest to the null it doesn't work? No error messages or anything but the camera doesn't auto orient itself to the POI null? Any ideas?
I guess there is no chance to get the ae project file?
What happens between step 2 & 3???. In the composition appears an adjustment layer, null,... of nowhere!!! Also when you open the object 'element' there are 2 Group Folder, not 1 like in step 2. So confusing...
I am thinking about that too! It driving me crazy! Do you have any clue now? plz
where do i get that red material? the one says "paint_red" i have some red materials but it's not like yours, i want a plain shiny red.
EDIT: nvm i got it
Awesome, thanks!
Why the music in the middle of your teaching?
This tutorial is good and I'm able to do all the things in the video, however you speak really fast and the instructions are unclear if im not giving my full 100% attention (which is unlikely because I'm trying to follow along in my own project)
Thats ace 👍🏼👌🏽
How can i make this Comic Look by myself?
but I figured it out thank you
How about a tutorial for hitfilm?
Superb!!!
awesome
Can all of this be done in Cinema 4D, if so please do a tutorial on it.
I'm making a much better version of this intro, that's actually like the Marvel 3-D intro, in Cinema4D now, it's almost done. When I'm finished I'll make a tutorial with links.
Dude this is a walk in the park for you but as a teacher you were going wayyyyyy to fast nevermind
Beast!
Set speed to 0.5, you welcome.
hey guys can someone help me about how could I add my comic texture video to 3d models I am doing the steps but somehow it doesn't work.
