I had a MY2019 when they first changed to the new power train with 306ps. Now on my 2nd jcw f54, with the facelift interior. I LOVE THEM. practical, unusual, fast, reliable. I am waiting for it to run out of warranty and upgrade the exhaust, intake, lower it slightly, which will all make it much more driveable. Also to note, i suspect these will hold their price now 2nd hand because Mini have announced the end of the Clubman range in 2024. Tie that into the announcement on ICE engines allowed until 2035, i think the F54 jcw lci will become a sought after legend. 😊
Agreed I think its a great package, sadly mine is being sold today to fund new project cars but I'll consider another one in the future. Shame I didn't get a chance to take to the Nurburgring.
BTW, sound is pumped in but VERY similar to the real noise, it even sound better without the pumped in audio and almost as loud (yes its possible to turn it off, there is 2 easy ways to do it)
Yours in an F54. 56 is the three door hatch. I’m generally a fan of the BMW MINI’s but they do seem to be getting uglier and uglier with each new version. The R52/3 was such a pretty, well proportioned car but I’ll happily concede that the newer cars are much better built. We had an F56 Cooper which was fine…that was it to be honest. Technically better than the previous MINI’s we’ve owned but we both basically shrugged our shoulders when it went. Whereas I was gutted when I sold my old Cooper S. I think these use the Aisin gearbox which isn’t the best. It’s a shame BMW have ditched the DCT and I my use the ZF8 for longitudinal engines and the Aisin for transverse engines.
The clubman definitely has a face for radio that’s for sure. It’s Fugly in a nice way. It’s fast but not in a super engaging way, the handling is where it shines. For a mainstream auto it’s not bad, not great. My time with the Clubman is coming to a close as it’s off to its new owner on Monday. Hankering after a squishy barge next, maybe a W12 powered one….

Is it something like a pipe to disconnect or similar?
@@Project40Cars no, you can do it with beamercode or disconnecter a cable in the dashboard which is very easy to access
the engine is not from an M140i. Its from the new M135i. The M140i is a 3.0 engine.
With bmw engine designations these days it could be anything
Correct. It has the B48 Engine from the F40 M135i
I had an f56 as well but the noise that came from mine wasn’t piped in mines had a waste gate and used to pop and bang shoot flames 🔥
That sounds a lot of fun!
Very happy with my MY19 6MT JCW Clubman. Bolt-ons going on soon.
Nice! What upgrades are you putting on your car?
I got one as well, beautiful car, I got a Fiat coupe as well. Had it for 18 years
Ah nice. 20v turbo?

Better than a golf R?
I think they’re very similar but the mini has more character.
Love
