Great song, great singer I loved it back the, still do. Her last name rhymes with More. She had several very good songs. Probably her biggest hits were It's Judy's turn to Cry and It's my Party. Much success on yr channel. I'll subscribe on my 3 channels.
This came out in 1963 she was 17 and one of the greatest lgbtq artists ever passed away from lung cancer in 2015 just a few months before she was going to marry her girlfriend of 33 years.
You’ve got to listen to the studio recording of this song. This live version is sung well but the production (by Quincy Jones) on the recording is outstanding.
Great song. Great reaction. Gore rhymes with store. Probably mid-late 1960s, and a rebellious idea and song back then. All the best.
Her first big hit is worth a listen: "It's My Party." She then did a follow-up to that song called "Judy's Turn To Cry." :) Hear "It's My Party" and you'll better understand the title of the follow-up song. :)

I think I might have changed my name, had I been her. It was Gore-silent e, without the ee sound at the end. Gory would be even worse!
By the way, her last name is pronounced gore (as in blood and gore) not gory.
