Yes the first ladies anthem really. Leslie Gore was a great singer. It's My Party, Judy's Turn to Cry, Maybe I Know, Sunshine Lollipops and Roses, She's a Fool, California Nights. This is the sound of my childhood in 1963 through 1966. Things were very different then, more relaxed pace, but certainly NOT perfect of course. . Real orchestras on pop records.
You are beautiful young lady with no makeup on, natural beauty. One of my all-time favorite songs is Misty by Lesley Gore. Please consider doing that in the future.
My guess is that you heard this in the movie Suicide Squad. The version you heard cut off the ending. "I'm free, and I love being free. To live my life the way that I want. To say and do whatever I please"
Lesley was only 17 when she recorded this! An amazing voice and talent who sadly died too young from cancer.
"Band of Gold" Freda Payne. Beautiful sister 1970 song.
Love this reaction! Great format you guys.
Glad you enjoyed it!
