I went out and bought it after seeing this review... And that was money WELL spent. I'm still a noob and don't really know what the hell I'm doing, but just fiddling with this thing for a few seconds made EVERYTHING sound infinitely more satisfying to my ears. I also have Saturn already, and I concur -- it takes a lot more work to sculpt a good sound with that one.

I like what I heard with smaller less moves than ya might need from other mechanisms.. and a fast way to cycle through optional coloring previews... I wouldn't probably call it a boost , as I might call it space, like adding space and saturation. I dont know but I liked it . Trying to visualize what I heard... and like the vid bro.
In other words it seemed very usable IMO, and I bet one could drill much deeper and find more happy surprises.

Surfer Eq Boogie is kind of cool as well, I dig for when using like a rhodes or similar piano styles, It follows the note being played and lets you extenuate the volume and how fast it moves/responsds, I have just the Focus rite plug in version but even that one is pretty cool./?
What do you Think of Monoment Bass, I picked it up and Love it, But i also play the bass, Always start with the bass in my tracks so when I saw that it had a bunch of bad reviews it threw me off a bit, as (i had already paid for it:) and i seemed to be very impressed by its range and versatillity for modern bass, Didnt know if you had a chance to check it out or not. The video of what went into the beast seems ubber legit.
another plug in that ( i cant seem to quite twerk it, but know once i can it will be a dangerous tool is the Distortion Harmonics Processor by Softube-) I know I am always bringing them up, even though in my oppinion you can get if not the best/One of the best Maximers/limiters for free ( gorgeous user interface aswell from D16 called Frontier) I actually prefer that to the limiter from izotopes Rx essentials, The Wiess (crap in my oppinion) esp for the price.
There is a great option to the softube 'Tilt' developed by Paul Wolffe, and I actually prefer it any day of the week it is called Pivot. Almost Identicle set up, Half the price with better sound. Its kind of a fast EQ, like when your mix, or instrument just needs the right 'nudge' in the right frequency direction, without necessarily needing, nor wanting to add a full EQ.
BRO staright up no ''bullocks'' you give the most sound- no pun intended reviews and have probably saved so many musicians thousands of dollars. I know I wish I would have found your channel WAY sooner although whats cool is, I do Know what I am doing. So When I have used the same plugs I have gotten the excact same feeling. lol Its rewarding to know Im not going crazy in my old age and that the art of SOUND ENGINEERING ( from mixing to mastering is still a craft that SOME dont take with the weight of a feather) I am scared with all of these AI plugs, we are going to be well like Vynil Djs are now. ( i was one of them for 17 years too, never in a million saw surrado comming). Funny enough My Rastafari Elder set up King Tubbys recording studio in Chicago...Solid gold technics....well they looked gold from what i hear. ( you may or may not be familiar with Tubbys work) he was a ubber Genious for his time. The entire Island of JA would ask to Borrow His sound systems for Dancehalls and whatnot. His 'music system' was/is legendary and helped between Lee scratch perry, and some other Junglist ( congo Natty, the Scientist etc.) good work as always. thanks for the vid

Do you think it can be used for lowend (kick or bass), instead of compressing, does it have advantage over this? By the way Process Audio Sugar is awesome, I bought it after your video and I'm a part of beta team. My favourite is Blackbox HG-2 also. But this multiband looks like something new. Waves would probably send you licenses, I guess, if you seperate your reviews sound and gui-wise a bit.
I really like your channel and not every Waves plugin is a burner. But the TG Mastering chain for example is a great plugin. You like the Fabfilter and Izotope approach more and that's fine, but I like the Waves interfaces (again not all, but many). Nonetheless I use Izotope, Fabfilter and other companies with GUIs like those, because in the end it has to sound good.
And speaking of saturation, I'd love to see your opinions on Klanghelm's SDRR. No demo, but €23 I think.

although the ui of this plugin is very nice and it uses 16x oversampling, the concept is relatively easy to replicate using Ableton Live's Audio effect racks. Create an audio effect rack with a wet and a dry signal chain, create a rack within the wet chain that contains the original signal and another chain with the polarity flipped, these will cancel each other out, but if you add an eq to one then the result of this wet chain will be the difference (any freq range you boost or cut), add your favourite saturation plugins to the end of that wet chain and you have your original signal and a difference signal with saturation applied. This same technique can be used with a compressor to create dynamic distortion (softube harmonics?) and many other unique effects. The only problem is that some plugins don't report their latency correctly and therefore create phase cancellations, comb filtering or other issues, so using ableton's native effects avoids this or you can use plugins that report latency correctly such as fabfilter plugins and lots of others. I will do a video on this at some point and have some free racks to give away as examples.

Please, snake oil the "Noveltech Vocal Enhancer"

So is this selectively saturating the signal without actually EQing at all? Meaning that if you enhance a frequency with this, it's not going to take up as much space in the mix as the equivalent boost if done using an EQ?

Its an enhancer plug so its gonna create freq content that isnt there based on what is - depending on how you set it its gonna take up more space. But it could take up the same amount of space still and sound great too.

Agreed Jesus is a champion. I liked Trackspacer so much I bought it for a friend since I was sick of hassling him to buy it. Turns out he still had a 32bit system and Jesus sent him a 32bit version in the interim.
