    Spectre is a sound-shaping tool that combines the best features of a boosting parametric equaliser coupled with a multi-band exciter.
    Spectre enables the user to introduce harmonic content from a variety of algorithms based on classic recording hardware.
    Adjust any of the five bands to add the audio process to just one or up to five bands, with adjustable Q the effect can go from broad to razor sharp.
    Spectre can be used on individual tracks, sub-mixes, the entire mix and is ideal for mastering.

    Absolutely lovely plugin. Seemed a bit superfluous in a sea of saturation plugins, but this is so immediate, so flexible, and so musical that it now finds its way onto nearly all of my mix channels. So great for slotting sounds right in where they belong. Thanks a million, Wavesfactory!

    Spectre can turn a pure low-end sine wave into a great sub bass that can be heard even on wimpy sound speakers. Voxengo SPAN and Melda's oscillascope readings show it's got a good sonic structure in addition to sounding nice as well. It's too easy!! 😎
    A marvelous piece of software. I picked it up after watching this video awhile back.
    Brilliant idea to use it on a send return. Might sound pretty good on a reverb return too.........

    Best "new" plugin Ive seen in a looooooong time. No snake oil here. Very usable in any style mix. Game changer in adding that extra 10% we all ponder about when mostly or fully mixing in the box. Sortve like discovering ranch dressing when all youve known before is ketchup, mayo, hot sauce, & mustard. Endless possibilities lol.

      yeah honestly this looks so powerful for shaping a mix just the way you want. a little too little in the lower mids? slap this baby on the instrument bus and crank it. looks so damn useful I just might have to blast money on it.

    With enough saturation plugins of all sorts, I decided to adopt the idea behind Spectre using what I already have.
    I am thinking a dry channel, with a parallel one with an EQ and a distortion, then a Utility audio effect (as I work in Ableton) in case I need the left/right split. It is clumsy, but can actually work. The magic of plugins like Spectre is they save time and streamline the workflow.

    Would love an update on this plugin. I'm struggling to get the Clean setting to null with Pro-Q3 :) I think it has something to do with a parallel internal routing that I'm not doing on the test channel. I can't believe this style of plugin hasn't caught on yet. The competitors still look like vintage four space multiband compressors. The parametric weighting filter feeding a processor workflow is absolutely brilliant.

    I mistakenly made the GUI 200% bigger and couldn't see the paramaters on the bottom anymore or change it back. For anyone trying to figure out how to fix this without uninstalling on Ableton. Simply change the name of the vst then change it back to the original name. It reset back to the default view and fixed my issue without needing to close the program or reinstall Spectre.

    • @bemay8010
      @bemay8010 7 місяців тому +1

      it’s precisely adding saturation type that simulates the distortion that would occur when pushing into fast limiters since low end usually triggers the limiter, which gives it that crunchiness tastefully
