It's ironic that Kazumasa Sakai came and invaded Iki, and his son being the one who eventually saves it from another invader. Jin Sakai's presence and deeds not only bring victory, but also make amends with the people his clan once butchered.
Exactly To be entirely honest I would have loved to see more conflict between the people of iki and jin but i guess there just wasn't enough time in the dlc to reaaaaally into the nitty gritty parts of such a dilemma
When i saw the flashbang lanf on the ground i immediately thought it was a glitch and was so mad that it was part of the story and had to happen because i definitely could have beat those guys
Honestly Jin would have cleared them fools. In the base game I even was flashed but still killed 1 or 2 enemies before the flash even wore off. Hate when games nerf the MC for scripted story moments that feel shoehorned in

After finishing the Elden Ring dlc, I can attest that the title speaks a painful truth lol Haven't watched the video yet as of me typing this comment but Im going through NG+ in GoT rn on lethal difficulty and after im done with that im gonna go to iki for the first time. This game is genuenly amazing, any fellow PC users the game is on steam and I highly (and I mean highly) recommend this game. I waited for its release for years and im lucky to say i somehow went in blind... what a masterpiece of a game. Edit: 30 seconds in... I guess I shouldn't watch this video yet lmao
Honestly ever since I myself played Elden Ring I felt a need to challenge myself in other games more. Recently I played through Doom Eternal on Nightmare difficulty. Planning on doing the DLC on the same difficulty. If you wanna watch some none Iki Island content, then check out my previous video ;)
1:11 Holy shit I just binged this whole game last week with my sister and we were both dying (figuratively and literally) at the dumbass throat singers 💀💀💀 Its a cool mechanic and all but its unfortunately hilarious when you slow down time with concentration and their voices get all stretched 😂
I mean, you need to make the Shamans a priority target just like the Archers. The easiest way to fight them is just chuck a Ghost Weapon (anything would do, just use one) at them and then wail on them while they are staggered. I even have one-liners before I finish them off; "Dosho that!" for Archers, and "Sing through that!" for Shamans.
@@kagekun1198 Yea I do focus the shamans whenever I can. Still though I feel like upping the difficulty could be done better than with spamming unblockable attacks
I just watched your review of the base game before watching this video. I laugh at how you’re able to view Tenzo as a “survivor” and not evil, but you labeled Jin as “evil” in your base game review. They are literally one and the same, which is what makes Ghost of Tsushima SOOOOO good to me. Both the base game and the DLC ask a very important question on what’s more important: the law of the land or the lives of the people? Just a thought. Just found it hilarious.
I wouldn't call base game and dlc one and the same. The DLC is more about Jin's past while the base game is about his present and future. In his past Jin knew what they were doing on Iki was not right. The samurai were the bad guys. In the base game the samurai are the good guys but with an asterisk. Shimura threw away lives on a whim. Dunno about you but that is pretty evil. Jin isn't evil agreed. I thought that video made it abundantly clear. Just called it "when the good guy is evil" because it sounds better than "when the good guy is an antihero who was labeled evil for not following a code of conduct"
