Introducing the KYT NZ-RACE Helmet - where tricomposite engineering meets the racetrack experience to deliver unparalleled performance. This full-face masterpiece is a culmination of meticulous design and cutting-edge technology, straight from the adrenaline-filled world of racing.
Every contour of the NZ-RACE helmet has been sculpted with precision, benefiting from advanced fluid dynamic software and wind tunnel testing. With input from KYT's skilled riders, the helmet's shape harmoniously blends aerodynamics, ventilation, and comfort, all while exuding the iconic streamlined aesthetic.
An artful spoiler design takes the limelight, seamlessly integrating aerodynamic prowess with absolute comfort. With a focus on the finer details, this helmet is not just a headguard; it's a dynamic extension of your riding experience.
Ventilation, a vital element in any helmet, is a star performer in the NZ-RACE. The system's meticulous optimization guarantees the inflow of fresh air and the efficient evacuation of moisture. It's a dance between comfort and function, perfectly choreographed to keep your head cool and dry.
The visor doesn't just meet expectations; it surpasses them. Offering a remarkable field of vision with optical class 1 clarity, this visor covers 210 horizontally and 90 vertically. Coupled with anti-scratch treatment and the Pinlock Max Vision 70 anti-fog lens, the visor delivers unrivaled performance. Whether you're conquering the track or cruising on the open road, this visor ensures visual excellence.
Now, let's talk specifications. The shell is crafted in two sizes, M and L, utilizing Tri-Fiber composite technology. This ingenious blend of kevlar, carbon, and fiber glass translates into exceptional impact resistance and feather-light weight.
Inside, the protective polystyrene comes in three sizes for optimal ergonomics and energy absorption. As impact force is progressively absorbed by the outer shell's deformation, the polystyrene plays a pivotal role in managing residual energy.
The visor is a feat in itself - constructed from optical class 1 polycarbonate with antiscratch treatment. Removing it is a breeze, thanks to the ingenious mechanism that demands no tools.
Speaking of innovation, the NZ-RACE boasts an Antifog Pinlock Max Vision 70, ensuring pristine visibility even in challenging conditions.
Ventilation is paramount, and the NZ-RACE nails it. Front air intakes on the shell merge seamlessly with the internal polystyrene's specialized channels. The result? An uninterrupted airflow that sweeps through the helmet, dissipating heat with the aid of rear extractors located beneath the aerodynamic spoiler.
Inside the helmet, the inners are thoughtfully designed. Removable and washable, they are crafted from fine and soft fabrics that facilitate airflow and keep the skin dry and comfortable. The cheek pads are tailored for Bluetooth headphones, and their "glasses wearable" predisposition is a testament to KYT's attention to detail.
The retention system is a "Double D-RING," fortified with lightweight alloy.
Embrace the KYT NZ-RACE - a marvel of design and engineering that transcends mere protection, offering an experience that truly rides with you.

Ordered my helmet with a cardo through y’all. And I can’t wait till it gets here! My cardo arrived this weekend already. Super fast shipping!
How’d it sound over 80mph, love my pista but I can’t hear anything at highway speeds on the cardo
Was waiting for your review on the nz Race, this could be my next helmet to add to the collection!! Not sure which one to get?!! bestia's helmet or aleix or Pirro, it's a tough one but I'm leaning towards bestia!!
If price is not an issue what do you recommend. nz or sr Fit is the difference for me im a sm in agv. Pista fits PERFECT on me. M nz fits a tad lose to me I like my helmets glued to my head. Would a s work in both?
All these helmets run true to size. If you follow the sizing chart, you should be in good shape.
Carbon always looks nice . Beautiful helmet
Is this FIM homologated helmet?
yes
Nope the homologated helmet it just for professional racer.. it's special order
This helmet is not FIM homologated. It is DOT & ECE 22.06 rated.
@@SpeedAddictsTV in Indonesia we can order the FIM version as long as you are a professional racer,,but for the tricomposite version..but this review is a full carbon version
@@adamshukhri6484No!
Someone tell me how the wind noise is and ability to hear your cardo?
We have not personally tested the wind noise on this helmet. To help mitigate noise, we recommend a snug fit with the chin curtain installed.
Did you end up buying one? I am also curious
Yes you can still hear the cardo over the wind noise, I use mine all the time (this while wearing earplugs too). I did a review on the NZ race and the R2R.
looking for the kyt nz raze carbon gloss in xl, ece 2206.. nobody has them, do you have in idea when theyll be in stock?
Just restocked 😎

Hey so I know I'm really late to the party, but I'm looking to buy one of these, how is the wind noise on the freeway?
We have not taken this helmet on a test ride to check.
What is the actual degree of vision on the visor though? Pista gp rr boast a 190 degree horizontal; 85 degree vertically. Is the KYT vision any better?
Unfortunately, we do not have access to that information. You can try reaching out to KYT.
Hi! Which helmet would you recommend between this one(the non carbon version) or the Suomy Track 1? (For daily rides and do routes from time to time). Thanks!
They are both very comparable. Can't go wrong with either. The NZ-Race is more popular.
What helmet shape is this helmet? And also, you mentioned there's a composite version and a full carbon fiber version but I don't see that. All the NZ-Race helmets are described as "Shell produced in Triaxial Composite (Carbon, Kevlar, Fiberglass). So can you clarify that?
The shape is Oval for all head shapes. The composite version is 100-150 grams heavier than the full carbon version.
@@EESHANDACH Where do you see the full carbon version?
The helmet shape is intermediate oval. We have multiple carbon versions available. They are labeled "carbon" on the product listings on our website. Check the link the description.
How can I get a tinted visor? It is out of stock at most places
We should hopefully be getting more in stock soon. You can sign up for stock notifications on the product page.
There are a “Warning! Remove the foam before use glasses” labels in the back of eye glasses icon, what it means?
Thank you for the nice review video, btw! ❤
If you wear eyeglasses, you need to remove the foam.
@@SpeedAddictsTV Yes, but the foam doesn't seem easy to remove and it looks like it can only be removed by damaging it
What are the key differences between the nz race and suomy sr gp?
The Suomy SR-GP is a cut above in the aero department and engineered for Moto GP. As it's longer front to back it's a bit heavier than the NZ-Race. In terms of fit and finish they're fairly close and are produced at the same factory. If you're looking for the lighter and more affordable helmet the NZ-Race wins. If you're looking for the most stable, relatively light weight and extra slippery aero then the Suomy SR-GP is for you, but it comes at a higher cost. Both are excellent choices for spirited street, track-day or competition riding.
should i get this or the agv k1s?
NZ-Race.
If I wanted to get a tinted visor what size would I get
The tinted visor is sold separately and one size fits all.
i really wanna get me one of these but i can't find them anywhere here in europe and i do not wanna pay import taxes. do they just not sell here yet ?
Unfortunately, I am not familiar with the Euro version, since we only stock the US version.
Suomy handling kyt distribution on Europe market
It should be available at suomy website
Do u think this a good helmet for naked mt09
Yes, the NZ-Race would be a great choice for your ride.
is this narrow fit or round fit?
Intermediate oval.
How much for that helmet?
$549 USD.
KYT is kinda similar looks to Suomy Helmet
KYT and Suomy are under the same family.
Who the heck wears an XL helmet, my man got that thiccc dome piece 😂
We've had customers go even larger than that. Thanks for watching!
This is NOT real carbon fiber, its crabot fiber graphic sticker on fiberglass. Just know that before buying for a carbon helmet.
Lol
It's a tri-composite. Made of carbon fiber+fiber glass+kevlar. First know and then comment.
@@R3RAHOOL Yes, Real carbon fiber helmets IE full carbon helmets reduce weight. The main reason for having carbon fiber. The ONLY reason people buy carbon helmets. Tri-composite isn't real carbon, its Tri-composite. Even in this video he says its the exact same weight as the non tri-composite.
@@NiftyyR6 it depends on your head size bro...i have this helmet in XXL size...the information behind the helmet says 1350gr but I weighed it myself, it only weighed around 1360g
It's a tri-composite shell. (Carbon, Kevlar, Fiberglass)
