Robert, we watch a lot of different RV youtube channels, but there is something special about your channel. It's the whole ball of wax, the music, your soothing voice, excellent camerawork. I could literally watch for hours. It's so relaxing. Thank you and keep up the good work. If you're ever in middle TN, we would love to show you around. Have a great day, riding in my RV!!!
😍I do enjoy your adventures with your lovely wife, I get too see Ca,you are also so great at giving us info and history you are truly a humble & incredible adventurer thank you 🎉..
I love your adventures so much, I think because they remind me of my own memories of my travels to some of the same places. But I love the way you narrate them💜
Robert..I enjoy your narrations and highlights of the different areas. But, most of all you let people see and know where you are at. Most You Tubers like to think they are the only ones who know the area and don't let their views know where they are at...Aka "All mine, not yours"!! Thanks again for your time on these productions!!
We live in the Bay area and one of our favorite trips is taking out our Class B up 101 to central Oregon. Crabbing is one of our favorite things to do. As you can see CA is not RV friendly and having a van type RV is the best way to travel here to see everything in detail.
I grew up in Morro Bay and lived there for 25 years and I’ve made this trip more times than I can count both just in a vehicle and towing a trailer. Thankfully, I never did it on a three day weekend but the views in the scenery are spectacular.
I am really, really happy you were able to camp at Manchester State Campground and visit Manchester State Beach! That place holds a special place in my heart as my Dad and I used to camp there when I was a kid. The campground site used to go back closer to the sand dunes near the beach but they closed them to protect the wildlife. There was a trail that lead from the campground to the beach that was pretty convenient. You will have to go back someday and watch the sunset from the beach as they are absolutely stunning! Thank you for making my day Robert (RIP Dad...)!
Thank you Robert. I just found your channel. I'm enjoying your wonderful travels! I live in Vancouver Canada and often travel south along the Washington, Oregon coast tent camping with my doggy.
Several years ago we spent a few days with friends at Point Reyes National Seashore on Tomales Bay. We enjoyed hiking, beaches and food. So relaxing -- I recommend it when you return to the area.
The Mendocino coastline is so beautiful. Not many places to pullover with a trailer. And it’s close enough to the Bay Area that one weekends it gets busy. Westport is the furthest north location on hwy 1 that faces the coast. It’s not as crowded. Lots of charm and lots of twists and turns. So many beautiful turnouts.
Hey Robert, nice to be out on the road with you this morning. I was just in the area last week, hanging out at Point Reyes and Bodega Bay. I think the road out to Dillon Beach is more interesting/scenic that the place itself( especially the rock formations right where you turn off and head down the hill), so you didn't miss much by turning around. At 3:06 you pass The Tides, where they have a mock-up of the cafe from the movie complete with crows on the roof and a TV playing the telephone booth scene in a window. Next time you're in Bodega Bay, I highly recommend Spud Point Crab Co -- the best clam chowder on the west coast. Until next week, happy trails!
My wife and I enjoyed seeing our town Ferndale. We saw our grocery store lol. If you come back let us know we can show you around. The coast is 5 miles away.
Wow! The camera makes the blue ocean look like a florescent dream. But it's dangerous. That's because people like me want to stare and when you're driving there, it's a long way down in some places! Whew! Yes - it looked crowded. Everyone wanted a piece of it. Can you blame them? A lot of places no longer allow overnight camping in cali because of the homeless problem sorry to say. And state park prices seem stupid high for a state that has such high taxes on everything already. Oregon has the best state parks in our opinion and priced fairly last time I was there. Avenue of the giants is where I recommend everyone see at least once. The campground next to headquarters is awesome as you camp under giants, there's a big museum and summertime campfire entertainment that's informative, (within walking distance),. A big river is running nearby used in the summer for swimming and fishing. Plus the smell of redwoods everywhere is incredible. That's it! Gonna start prepping the rv for a trip to the redwoods. It's because of you sir. Cheers. 👍
Love all of your videos Robert! You keep everything real, honest and interesting. We actually can't stop watching and check in on your channel every day. Stay healthy and keep on traveling!
The redwoods are arguably my favorite place to see. Great video Robert. I've always wondered if it was busy during summer and i can see that it is. The two times I went were in mid to late April and was pretty much alone on everything. Still rained alot but the rain is what adds to the allure of the redwoods
The beauty of the Pacific Coast, just wonderful to drive. Thanks to your video, we took that route before the pandemic from California to Portland Oregon. We had coffee break at Lucky 7 and head on to Lincoln City Or. for some rest.
I understand completely about you not being able to stop with your RV at places. I used to drive big trucks on the road and there were so many places I wanted to pull over and eat but as you say there are so many places that just are not user-friendly.
Now your in our stretch of territory...That Lucky 7 Casino you spent a nite , the Motel there was designed by my father in law....We have spent the nite at this casino parking lot several times...Have even gotten to know some of the bartenders in the little sports bar there...We are from the bay area, but the stretch your about to begin up the Oregon coast i enjoy much more than Calif ....Hope in the next episode get to see you stop at Misty Meadows near Bandon...As always, travel safe, be well...
Funny you should highlight the Avenue of the Giants because my husband and I drove through the Avenue of the Giants two days ago and we also walked through Founders Grove! It was so worth walking through that half mile loop. It’s free and not very crowded on a Friday afternoon in late April.
Hello Traveling Robert, this was such amazing video coverage...and WOW look at those SPECTACULAR Redwoods trees. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING Robert! I can't wait to see the Oregon Coast...though I would love to see Crater Lake National Park. Excellent video my friend
Thank you for the Redwood coast drive. I was too young to appreciate the grandeur when my parents drove through the forest so many years ago. Please know your videos are so apart of my Sunday mornings. Stay safe.
Hi Robert ,I love the redwoods, born and raised in Bay Area , now live on Kauai, some of the nicest redwood groves are in the Oakland hills on Skyline drive at Roberts regional redwood park, highly recommend you see. Aloha
Someday you really should make the trip up along the Russian River into Guerneville.. Do it during the summer months. It's very picturesque and quite quirky.
Wonderful video, Robert. I love driving up and down the PCH 😊 I'm actually hiking Tomales Point this week! There is so much to see and do. Thanks for sharing this beautiful drive!
I guess I now need to take that trip to Northern California. It was nice seeing Founders Grove and Ferndale again. I’m going to have to do the whole 1 one day! Hopefully can do this trip again soon as the last time I was down was in 2013
Ferndale is one of my favorite small towns. Very beautiful area. 5 minutes from the beach. I wanted to move there, but hard to find homes or property for sale there. Nobody wants to leave.
You were in my neck of the woods , I am from Monterey just north of Big Sur . To me it's the best place in the entire US , CA has it all from deserts to mountains and forests . I live CA , I have been living in FL for a long time now and a day has not gone by that I have not wanted to move back to Monterey, FL sucks compared to CA
@@LivingOnCash a lot of people everywhere suck. I live in Kentucky now and lived in Ohio too prior to leaving California. People here suck. I also travel a lot, guess what? People suck.
@@IsaacCloud Yes, there are sucky people everywhere. That's why I live in a very rural area of northern NV. But you're the one that brought the subject up. I was just pointing out that CA is incredibly beautiful and that it's the people there (some of them) that make it bad. I think the people that say, "CA sux" are talking about the people, not the geography there. I'm fortunate enough to be able to run over the hill and visit these areas and then retreat to my isolation. Also as I'm sure you are aware, there are literally millions of really good people in CA as well.
Robert, have you considered about getting a 5th wheel instead of a pull behind camper? Special request: will you try to to catch the 'green flash' for us during sunset? thanks in advance :-)
Hi Rob, thank you again, just fabulous vistas , would you comment on cost of small 2brm cottage in this area? love your production, regards to your wife, were you a chef before the travel got your passion, thank you from nz
I live your videos and your background music. Do you make your own background music? They are good especially the one which is like " tink tink titin" often used when you are at seaside and sun going down..
I'll be honest, watching this vlog wants me to retire already and travel, perhaps buy our own minnitini :-) Wanted to do it before I get too old to travel....
Love the redwoods and the drive. Your music enhances the videos and makes it so enjoyable.

Robert ❤I always say you are the man with a soothing, amazing voice ,you should be working for National Geographic🥳.
This trip really makes me want to take the plunge and invest in an rv. Thanks for the views

Redwoods never disappoint, been there a few times and I always tell people you have to see them at least once in your life!👍🏼
Thank you Robert to taking us along your travels!!! Amazing California!
25:18 those trees is HUUUGE ❤️
These are the best videos you make - I like seeing the drive
What magnificent giants. Fascinating place to walk through. ❤
Beautiful section of California. In fact it is my favorite area to go through.
Oh my goodness! WHAT a video. Founders Tree is really spectacular to see!
Sunday morning coffee and a new video from Robert.
What a magnificent trip. I love the Redwoods ❤

My cousins live in Briceland. That area where highway 1 merges with 101 is called the lost coast.
Thank you for the Redwood coast drive. I was too young to appreciate the grandeur when my parents drove through the forest so many years ago. Please know your videos are so apart of my Sunday mornings. Stay safe.

Wow! The red woods are so beautiful! I visited the sequoia in 1995 in Yosemite but it was a small grove. Thanks for sharing this with us so beautiful!
Great job
Wonderful video, Robert. I love driving up and down the PCH 😊 I'm actually hiking Tomales Point this week! There is so much to see and do. Thanks for sharing this beautiful drive!
Awesome
You should check out the Charles Shultz Museum and Snoopys Home Ice Redwood Empire Ice Arena in nearby Santa Rosa!
Great adventure Robert! Highway 1 was a joy to travel with you on!
You need to check out Fort Ross. It's about 26 miles north of Jenner. It's an old Russian fur trapping fort.
Great video. Thank you!
What a rugged coast! Happy Sunday Everyone! Making plans for our summer "Lake Superior Circle Tour" 😊 Great job Robert as usual.
Nice premier Robert nice videos as always
Hey Robert is there a fee for camping at the Rincon park near ventura?
Waiting.

Great views. You mentioned the camera fogging. I wonder if you could use a defogging rub they sell at a scuba shop if that would help.
Maybe that would work, but it wasn't really fog but the salt sticking to it.

What is that music 5 minutes 10 seconds into it at the arched rock? I love it!!
It is called Paisaje, by yours truly

Are there any hookups at that site? Dump station?
I'm not certain.
