Hi ROBERT, it was enjoyable to see this video in my backyard. You missed the most beautiful beach in the world and it is hidden -no sign - first right turn into the trees past the Pfeiffer Bridge heading south . No trailer / rough road. spectacular Pfeiffer Beach will amaze you . Also, you need to stop at nepenthe up high on the coastal hill Big Sur and sit outdoors for the most spectacular view of the coast you’ll ever see . Petaluma is my town and live very close to Brewster‘s. I wish you could’ve done the Lagunitas tour because you won’t believe the amount of beer you get to drink! Petaluma is a Victorian Rivertown and I hope you got to enjoy some of the mansions and iron front architecture downtown. We have amazing restaurants along the Petaluma River
Thank you again, you brought tears to this old subscribers eyes on this whole episode. My life was shown from beginning to end. Bernabe now from reno👍👍
You had perfect weather for the drive. Big Sur is always beautiful, I love to see the shimmer from the sunlight on the ocean. Santa Cruz and Petaluma are great towns to visit. Thanks for sharing this wonderful footage, Robert.
Hi Robert, being from California I did enjoy this video. You drove by, or through a few of the towns where I used to live and that was fun to see. But I have to say that my favorite part of this video was the cooking segment. The camera looking down into the pan, and the time-lapse of the bacon and eggs cooking was a wonderful thing. Happy travels!
Back when I was 19 years old in the Navy I drove the Pacific Coast Highway from north of LA back to San Francisco. Was a lot longer drive than I expected but saw and photographed several cool things.
Hello Traveling Robert, this video was Absolutely AMAZING! I have driven the California Coast Hwy north to Places like Hearst Castle and Fisherman's Wharf in Monteray, and also visited the Golden Gate Bridge, Pier 39, Fisherman's Wharf In San Francisco. So much NOISE with those sea lions. Robert, this was an AMAZING video and looking forward to the next video heading north of San Francisco and beyond. Can't wait Robert. Enjoy your day my friend.
Petaluma, CA and Lagunitas there is definitely bucket list material for me! It’s maybe my favorite IPA. All that beautiful coast and all before you even hit San Fran. Looking forward to the north coast! Oh and nobody should ever scold you for not stopping somewhere, just look forward to it the next time. 😊
Love love love driving through Big Sur! I have always driven south, so thank you for the different perspective. Also, I highly recommend visiting Hearst Castle. I have been there three times, and always learn something new.
Another great video. The spots in Santa Cruz you filmed were also the filming locations for 1987’s The Lost Boys movie. Petaluma was also a filming location for American Graffiti. Both stunning locations 💜 Hard to boondock along that Monterey to San Francisco part of the PCH. I usually boondock right on the cliff near Pescadero. Its in the middle and overnight camping is allowed 🚐
Been enjoying these videos today! My family has had covid and your videos are so relaxing right now! God bless you. Next, I am going to watch the Redwood Forest video.
Beautiful scenery! I'm in Seattle & the marine layer gets to me. I LOVE the sun & surf! I know it's hard to find spots for a big truck & trailer. I very much appreciate all the work you go through to bring these amazing videos to us. Cheers! You deserve a Tall Cold IPA!🎉🎉🎉
This was great! PCH is the second leg of my dream road trip. Living near Chicago I would start with Route 66 to L.A. then the PCH to San Francisco then The Lincoln Highway back. Hope to do it someday. Thanks Robert, happy travels!!!!
Gooood morning, Robert! Ah, the PCH, perhaps the best edge-of-the-continent drive in the world. The southbound direction is really the best way to go, much easier to pull off and get back on. You picked the right time to do it...some part of the Big Sur to Ragged Point section gets closed almost every year now due to landslides. Normally I hate getting stuck behind travel trailers on the curvy/windy part of the road (it's just so fun to drive in a good handling car), but I'd make an exception if I found myself following Minitini 🙂 I think the best time to visit the Santa Cruz Wharf is when they have "Woodies on The Wharf" car show. Until next time, happy trails!
Great video - loved the scenery. FYI - your cooking with paprika intrigued me so I got some and tried it - and loved it. My wife decided to try it too - and she also got hooked on it. I found that it really had a huge impact on hamburgers - the flavor was so intense! We now use it a lot. So, I guess we should thank you for introducing that spice to us!!!
My parents live in Morro Bay which is just south of where you started. It’s a fun town to visit next time. You passed right by my favorite winery: Niner Wine Estates. Next time worth the stop 😊 I also must say that this made me incredibly homesick. We live in the Pacific Northwest, but we are Californians, born and raised. Thanks for the great video.
Long time watcher of the channel and so glad you came to my hometown of petaluma California! Great video of all the coast scenery I got a place on shelter cove which is the one part you can't get to on hwy 1! I hope you enjoyed our beautiful coast and I will continue watching you and all your adventures!
You have to come back to Southern California, especially San Luis Obispo County, in late winter or early spring. The hills are so brown and dry in the summer, but right now, especially after all the rains we've gotten, the hills around LA almost resemble Hawaii in some places.
We have been following you for years on our regular channels but it was time to add you to our Just Ramblin Around. We have loved every time you have made this trip to our beautiful PNW you appreciate this area so much! Hope to cross paths one day!
We just came from fall creek falls state park in Tennessee. Robert you have to go it’s gorgeous not so much traffic. They have camping grounds cabins and more. It blows my mind.❤❤❤
I'm so glad your doing this route, although you've done it before...I plan on doing the same one, basically as soon as I get my next vehicle...a minivan...no small car for me, cuz I will be boondocking by the ocean at some point in my life! lol...cannot wait to see the rest of this trip...and thanks for bringing me back to San Francisco and re-visiting my recent trip there in January for the 1st time! I will NEVER forget going across that beautiful bridge! And yes, San Fran is VERY unique!
My wife and I came across your RV travel channel and really enjoyed it! Santa Cruz is our happy place! You'll have to revisit when you have more time. Can't wait for my wife and I to take our little 15' trailer out on the road!
Hello Robert! I visited Hearst Castle with my mom and grandma in the early 2000s.... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you spend two solid days, back to back touring the castle. I would even go so far as camping out in the area for a week, just to make sure you can link 2 good weather days together. We were able to take almost all of the various tours with a little planning. A highlight that i will never forget: the indoor pool. Be sure to see it in person no matter what other areas you might choose!
Years ago, I stopped with our toyota rv at a dirt pullout a couple miles north of bixby bridge a few feet from the edge. Opened the door, made lunch then kicked back in the bunk. You could see straight down a few hundred feet to the waves crashing on the rocks below. It was jaw-dropping and terrifying at the same time. One slip and that would be it for you! When weather gets better, big sur river inn puts chairs in the shallow of the river out back. You can sit out there and have a drink. Good burgers there but it turns into a mad house summertime with all the crowds. Looking forward to the norcal redwood segment. Been there many times and it never gets old and maybe you'll highlight something I've missed. Just like the grand canyon,..everyone should see the redwood giants at least once in their life. It's impossible to fully convey their size in pictures, (or that glorious smell),. Cheers.
thanks for the drive south to north on the PCH, I've only done north to south. I got to live in Santa Cruz for 3 years, starting 5 days after the 1989 earthquake. Worked at a Natural Foods Store, Stapleton's, I was the cheese guy, cutting a lot of cheese.
Hey Robert, nice video! My wife and I did this trip back in 2018. We drove from SF to San Diego with a few stops in between. The Bixby Bridge and Ragged Point were two highlights for us.
I've been following you when u had the small Hyundai, now seeing u with the starship & mini tini 3 ..u have come along way with your channel .. Im so looking forward u showcasing alaska, keep up the amazing work
Awesome - brings back great memories - Lived in Monterey during the 80s !! That European "Ducato" RV ( seen at 32:19) was from Rosenheim in Bavaria Germany ! Salute - Greetings from Germany !! 😊👍
Your videos inspired us to do the Pacific Coast Highway last June. We went north to south though because the first part of our trip was going up 395 and across Washington to Rainier and Olympic National Parks.
Robert - Next time, definitely visit Hearst Castle. You will need atleast a half-day. But most importantly, buy the tickets atleast a few days ahead of time. They sell out quickly
If you return to the Santa Cruz, Monterey area be sure to stop at Casa de Fruta in nearby Hollister. They even have a campground for overnight camping.
Hi Robert, love all of your videos! Have you ever considered buying a tricked out travel van, fully equipped? It would be much easier to travel in, you are not restricted parking wise and travel wise, best part is you can always find good parking! Something to consider as you get older, less stress driving too! 😊
Being from the Bay Area i have seen just about all of Calif. Coastline...Am a much bigger fan of the Hwy 101 ride up to the Oregon coast which i like better...Not as many people unless of course you visit one of the tourist coastal towns...We love to Casino camp in the motorhome from Ukiah all the way up to Tillamook bay and Portland in Oregon to visit family...I see you mentioned Coos bay....I hope you checked out the state parks there on the ocean...They are really nice...Sunset bay state park has a nice RV park also....there is a free botanical garden in the state park next to Sunset bay, really nice...3 state parks in a row in this area...Unparalleled views also...Plenty of FREE nite camping at the casinos...State parks are not expensive either ....Travel safe, be well....
Stunning beauty, those colors are magnificent. ❤
What an Incredible and breathtaking ride. Such Beauty. ❤
Hi Robert, I’m only a few minutes into the video, but had to comment on your music! It’s just awesome! Now back to the show….
America is so beautiful!!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Nice edit on the Vista Point June 2012.
I remember Robert's epic mullet.
You are a chef after my heart. Cooking your eggs in bacon grease is a delicious and filling way to start a day.👨🍳👨🍳👨🍳👨🍳
We never get tired of the pacific coast, our favorite. Beautiful and excellent video, thank you Robert from Naples Fl.
Thank you again, you brought tears to this old subscribers eyes on this whole episode. My life was shown from beginning to end. Bernabe now from reno👍👍
I always love to see the RV cooking show!
The super bloom of flowers is no joke. Best in my 35 years here.
wow so many amazing views, and those sea lions 😍 California is beautiful!

Some breathtaking views you got on film. Such a beautiful trip!
Big Sur , Bixby bridge. ❤❤
It's the A1A of the West Coast...drove from Pacifica to Santa Cruz and it was pretty impressive 👌...excellent video 📹!
Petaluma, CA and Lagunitas there is definitely bucket list material for me! It’s maybe my favorite IPA. All that beautiful coast and all before you even hit San Fran. Looking forward to the north coast!

Nice Video, as usual... My wife and I traveled in May 22 the PCH as well but in the other direction. 🥰
that KOA back in the late 80s early 90's was the spot bingo Monterey bay hall and the giant 3 wheel two seater bikes were so awesome
Love your videos. Very interesting and informing!
Star ship is being a trooper conquering those hills. ; - )
Great camping right under the bridge.
Robert I love your travells! I feel as I travell with you... salud amigo!

I have been both ways on the Coast Hwy, it was the highlight if my trip to California. Not to mention Lake Tahoe is postcard picture perfect...
Beautiful! Have done the Highway for most of the Oregon Coast, but not California. Another trip to the area needed for sure
Your videos inspired us to do the Pacific Coast Highway last June. We went north to south though because the first part of our trip was going up 395 and across Washington to Rainier and Olympic National Parks.
Yes head on out to The PNW we will stay in touch and maybe we will see u!

Robert you NEED to go have an IPA at Russian River Brewing Company my friend !!
Bear Republic as well !!!
I’m glad you stopped into Lah Goo Knee Toss haha. My 3rd favorite California brewery after Barrelhouse in Paso Robles and Stone in Escondido👊
Hi Robert. How you doing? Another cool video, nice trip. Thanks so much for these videos. Have a nice weekend!!!!! Sya.
You can park anywhere in california as long as you have a AR-15😎
If you return to the Santa Cruz, Monterey area be sure to stop at Casa de Fruta in nearby Hollister. They even have a campground for overnight camping.
Love the coastal drive . If boondocking is allowed on the cliffs, over looking the Pacific don't take a walk at night. 🤣🥰🌄🌁
Despite its flaws, San Francisco is my favorite city to visit. Just so much to do
Hi Robert, love all of your videos! Have you ever considered buying a tricked out travel van, fully equipped? It would be much easier to travel in, you are not restricted parking wise and travel wise, best part is you can always find good parking! Yes, I need to find one with large holding tanks

Those sea lions are the housecats of the ocean. They are always laying in the sun. Robert & Eli did you see the zebras of San Simeon ?
They are normally grazing just north of the state campground.
