The AFRICAN American Man behind the Year of Return - Repatriation
    DIALLO SUMBRY
Diallo Sumbry is the founder and President of the Adinkra Group. He holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the University of the District of Columbia.
Diallo Sumbry is on a lifelong quest to help people of African descent reconnect with their ancestral heritage while also promoting the property of African citizens.
Whether he is working with or investing in small business owners or leading adventurers through their ancient homeland.
Mr. Sumbry first stepped on the continent of Africa in 1988. His first trip was to Senegal and he hasn’t looked back since. His journey to discovering and exploring more of the continent has also taken him to Mali, Morocco, Guinea, the Gambia, Sierra Leone, South Africa and Ghana. He’s been doing this long before the ‘Year of Return’ in 2019 when thousands of people of African descent made the trip to Ghana. Sumbry played a key role in the ‘Year of Return’ campaign that marked the 400-year anniversary of the first documented ship of enslaved Africans to arrive in Virginia, USA.
His company, the Adinkra Group, has been responsible for bringing people of African descent to Ghana through what he calls, the ‘Birthright Journey’. He creates curated cultural experiences that are meant for people who have been yearning to make that trip to the motherland.
He has spent several years in Ghana giving back to communities, working on business projects and getting to know the landscape of the country at the ground level. ‘A Smart Ghana Repatriation Guide’ is an honest blend of personal experiences, lessons, and practical tips that provide a timely contribution to the “Back to Africa” renaissance sparked by the Year of Return and now with its decade-long Beyond the Return campaign.
Diallo Sumbry's book, ‘A Smart Ghana Repatriation Guide’ was released on May 19, 2021. The book gives an in-depth look at what it’s really like to move to Ghana. It’s a candid look at the ups and downs as well as the opportunities for success in the country. He leaves no stone unturned in the book which includes contributions from others who have also repatriated to Ghana.
Sumbry says that his book offers a virtual experience as you read each chapter and use the scannable QR codes that are embedded in the text of the book. He wanted to do this so that the book can come to life in a new and inspiring way.

The "Stolen" States is not for Black People anyway, it never was. It was just a Place that was forced upon our Black African Ancestors and carried on through to the younger Generation who have had and still have a hard time with these White Europeans and White European Influence.
If the younger Generation are blessed and end up in a Position where they are fortunate to go back to their Roots in Africa, compared to many other Black Africans in the World, then they should take that Blessing and go back to their Roots in Africa.

This is why we need to work as one nation to help rebuild the motherland whilst establishing our respect by other groups around the world.
Sis spoke about the Jewish people but remember that when they went through hardships they were only hated due to their faith n culture. Being black is very different, we have been hated for our mere existence.

@Clipper caddy, Our struggle is totally different from that of the Jews. It began the moment non-blacks set eyes on us and quickly realized we were the First Peoples of this earth. Our holocaust is by far more brutal because, it took thrice as much lives than that of the Jews within the Congo, and millions more all over the diaspora.
The experience is totally different because the trauma is deep and still ongoing…🪘🪘🪘✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾🪘🪘🪘

I was just like this dude. I was like, yo, I'm going to Africa to chase a dollar. I figured there were endless business opportunities there. I arrived in Ghana. Eyes wide open. I discovered a business idea in a few days and I was set. But I was only there for 1 month. I came back to the US. I started watching youtube videos of Ghana and I had a strange feeling. It felt like I had left home, and I wanted to go back home. Unlike this brother, I don't believe in anything that I can eat or spend. LOL But, I was home in Ghana. People that I met and spent time with didn't even realize I was American. People thought I was from Ghana, had been living abroad and has came back home to Ghana. It was a real revelation. I'm not a spiritual person, but I loved being in Ghana. I plan to go back in December, start a new business immediately, and look for what I can do good while I'm there. I'm not spiritual, but I love people. Even my business will do good things for people who will eventually work with me.

I laughed when I heard him say have the children come and fetched water. I remember taking my niece and nephew to Guyana 🇬🇾 and have them fetched water, walk barefoot, clean the yard. We spend a month I had a hard time for three days but couple bad words for me. One week after you couldn't tell there are not Guyanese. I believe that we as a people should bring our children back to see not only tell where you came from and the may appreciate 🙏🏼 💯 what the have a little bit more. I agree with him when he said he would like to bring US kids for holidays , there should be more programs to bring more black kids from Europe or America like a summer camp so they can experience the african way of life and reconect with the motherland , they will return to the West with diferent mindset

It makes sense. Anyone that goes to Ghana and is privileged to work with the government direct. Often has a better experience whilst out there. They’re part of the ruling class!!!

People need to go into gold business and define how we give foreigners access to our gold resources without much return from it.We are giving it all out without proper business sense..ALL GOLD MUST BE REFINE IN GHANA..THE MONEY MUST STAY AND DEVELOP GHANA NOT OTHER PLACES ..GHANA HAVE BIG FUTURE IF WE CAN CHANGE THE IDEAS ABOUT FOREIGN INVESTMENT WHOCH IS NOT WIN WIN FOR GHANA

20:10 We experience the systemic effects of cultural genocide brought on by the waves of 'Holocaust' or racial exterminations (the sadistic oppression hidden from us still due to underprivileged education systems) that makes it difficult to maintain the same camaraderie and economic transactions we demand from ourselves. Difficult yet not impossible.

depends on what one consider as properly dress . Properly dress from a eurocentric view or properly dress in an afrocentric view . I love my african attire thats what I would call peoperly dress.
