Though I had exposure to ways to financial freedom and successful entrepreneurship career from others like Robert Kiyosaki, Jim Rohn, Jim Rohn, Jack Ma, my 'Rich Dad' in Ghana here, my senior colleagues in my field of work etc Mr Obeng Darko is one of the pinnacles when it comes to financial knowledge and entrepreneurship education in Ghana

Jamaicans are really Ghanaians. When I was a child we didn't go to work, school or shop when it's raining. It's safer to stay home.
When it snows in the west some people don't go to work either and sometimes it's required to stay off the roads. It's the same thing.

This is such a refreshing conversation , so many nogits and truth about not only Ghana but other African cultured society on the continent and western Caribbean as well. Education without critical thinking and community experience is proving to be a long-term problem for youths today. Too much outside information is crippling the process of dreams from personal desire while in the sleep realm 🤔 thing are coming from the outside in and not enough from the inside out 🤔 my people find your true self and pursue that which is your strength applying knowledge and wisdom from experience 🤔 that which is yours will be yours with the proper application.🇯🇲🇸🇳

Lots of gem in this interview! We need values and discipline instilled in us. We don’t even have a culture of monitoring & evaluation in our ‘system’ to inform practice. I’m glad you touched on the national flag issue. We shouldn’t have political flags, posters, billboards, painted offices, etc., all over the country. There should be a limited timeframe for the 'politics season’, after which all their flags should be removed (and replaced by Ghana flags, if possible)…until the next cycle.

I feel they should largely benefit in the wealth & economic benefits that come from all these foreign people coming to make money in there country. They should not be being exploited by greed. People coming to Ghana should not be exploited or exploiting others. If everyone is honest & work together I believe Ghana can be a beautiful peaceful place to live and also be prosperous for its business & citizens. Just need to be mindful of greed & corruption or it can become a swamp.

Mr Darko it’s through exposure people travel outside and come back with problem solving ideas. Your thinking is one dimensional if you are not exposed to what others are doing. Exposure is in part education. Even the colonialist exposed themselves to Africa to learn of our ways, saw the natural resources and figured out a way to better their lives in their respective countries so yes exposure is important Mr Darko.

Exposure that does not benefit your people is not needed.

Yes, exposure can give "problem-solving ideas" but how many of us translate that into solving the problems that sent us out in the first place? Aren't we rather fixated on problems back home to justify our continued stay abroad?

I like the way Dentaa likes to think Diasporans are the only people who are always frustrated with the Ghana system (the way our civil service works to serve us). Guess what, those living are even more frustrated

Dentaa said how long do you have to train the employees ooo. They have been trained so many times. This was definitely a good interview and I love how you were upfront with your questions. Sometimes people will beat around the bush to keep from avoid addressing the problems. We need to create dialogues for the uncomfortable issues at hand and not brush them under the rug in order to understand or solve these issues.

Unless Ghana actually votes for a smart politician who is more about developing Ghana instead of lining pockets, the country will never improve.

So happy we touch on the staff disappearance during rain. It was a huge culture shock for me. I even started to wonder if they thought this was an unpaid internship because thats the only excuse.

😂😂😂😂I had to tell my workers that's not an excuse. They have to get umbrellas and walk to work since they come from nearby.
Work ethics in the villages is worse😂😂😂
The amount of frustration, only God knows.
