thanks! The floating steps and floor is Tasmanian Oak. The boxes are held on by the standoffs that hold the glass banisters in place - these were added after the video was made though.
can you tell me how you attached/fixed metal piece (biggest part) to the ground, when you install it, time in video 1:06, thanks and greetings from Serbia.
it looks great. Could you give is some mounting tips? How do you fix de wooden boxes (floting stairs) with the steel stucture? From the video I do not see any bolts
It looks amazing! Where do you buy the floating steps brackets? And why are some comments saying it's a code violation? because of no railing? or the floating staircase itself is a code violation? Thanks!
Thank you. The brackets were all made from BMS and welded to the frame. I am not sure if you can buy anything similar. People haven’t read the description and think that I intended to leave it without a balustrade. Since this video I have installed surrounding glass with a black aluminium handrail. It’s all to code and fully insured.
The specific dimensions of the steps will depend on the overall height and spread of the staircase. There is also a minimum and maximum rise and landing height of each step that will be outlined in your local building code. These may differ depending on where you live.

Really nice work mate! But you know that. Looks fantastic! Just the inspiration I needed to get myself going today. Off to renovate. 👍
Looks amazing but big safety issue is there's no Handrails.
Nice, this would deserve much more views
thanks!
it looks great! what kind of wood was used for the floating steps and how did you attach it so it wouldn't slide off out the metal frame?

They are fixed on with glass standoffs when the glass balustrade is installed.
Waste the wall you removed downstairs not supporting the second story? Great build!
The wall I removed was not load bearing. So it was safe to remove.
@@mrs.869 oh ok I meant was not waste** sorry lol

jacob STEVEN if you are an adult with a fair amount of balance and not drunk af it really shouldn’t make a difference.
@@charisma-hornum-fries I've got kids & Btw, safety is regardless of age nor gender. It's not about being an adult nor drunk af!
This was a build video of just the stairs. Glass balustrade and handrail was installed in part 2.
