DIY Camper Trailer Build. Part 1: The Design Concept timelapse
Follow the journey of the AD-V Project from start to finish as I attempt to design and build a small camper trailer from scratch.
There will be multiple videos showing the full build as it progresses.
This is not a "how-to" tutorial. I recommend anyone attempting a similar build has relevant engineering qualifications and a thorough understanding of their National and Local Government design rules.
Thanks for viewing.

Do you have the list of company website for your equipment?
Hola. Vendes el archivo??.. gracias
Looks amazing
Is there a place I can download the file?
Hey any updates on the build?
Thanks to whoever posted this tribute. I met Mr Balthrop at the Starving Artist show in San Antonio and enjoyed chatting with him. We have four of his works and enjoy them to this day. He was very accommodating and even sent a number zero print of Native Dancer when we requested it by mail.
do you sell the sheets? if so where can i buy them?
Can I know about what Software do you used ?
It's Sketchup Pro
Great design , only one question ? The location of the axle is too far rearward which implies that you'll have excessive tongue weight up front . This will weigh down your truck unnecessarily . The axle should be placed 60% the length of the trailer measured from the front of the box . Example if your trailer us 10 feet long then the axle center should be 6 feet from the front of the trailer , the tongue length is not considered in this calculation .
Thanks Eduardo, Your logic is based on a trailer that has even distribution of weight throughout the trailer. The axle position on my design takes into account the additional weight behind the wheels (water tank, fridge/freezer, storage, services, etc.).
KOOL ! 👍Similar to some Australian campers ! Nice !
Any new videos yet ? I've been waiting for them to come out on this build.

Sensacional!!!! Mr. $. Desejo-lhe muito sucesso.🙌🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠
ummm where were the rails?
hi, sorry what software it is?
It's Sketchup Pro
If I could use that software!!! But seriously best new concept to show people, now everyone will have to follow YOUR lead!!!!! Super nice!!! Been wanting to do a build for two years still grabbing ideas ..
nice project and work in sketchup
I always have great idea but my ability to use sketch up always kills me.
nice design work😎😎 , wish I could use Sketchup like that 😉😉cannot wait to see the build in action
Thanks. The build is close to finished. I just need to get the videos together. 🙌🏼
@@mrs.869 will be good to see them
Any vids of the build??
what is the tensile strength of that piece?
How much did it cost you in the end do you know?
Rip Kurt's poster 😭
Wow, you work fast! LOL…nice job!
Really nice demonstration you gave here, very inspiring to get a vacuum bag.
Сколко доллар стоит вот тако пластик лист
Hi, thanks for a great video. What ply did you use and where is it available. Cheers
Can you please help with the floating step dimensions
The specific dimensions of the steps will depend on the overall height and spread of the staircase. There is also a minimum and maximum rise and landing height of each step that will be outlined in your local building code. These may differ depending on where you live.
@@mrs.869 thanks for the replay
Ok so the question of million dollars is there a way to make bags that can be use to make boards with the hand pump with the laminate. your pump method is so effective but the cost is not that much if we can use a hand pump on your method it is very useful and effective
Can you tell me where you got the black light fixture?! I love it!
A local supplier called Beacon Lighting
Hit the Like button fast and subbed instantly, excellent presentation / explanation.
How much did this cost
How long did this take? (And how long did your staircase reno take?)
I did them both at the same time over about 12 months. I work full time in between so it took longer than it needed too.
LOOKS GREAT.
Plans? Please
can you tell me how you attached/fixed metal piece (biggest part) to the ground, when you install it, time in video 1:06, thanks and greetings from Serbia.
Where’s the railing
Красивый лист получился! Мы занимаемся переработкой пластика в России! Успехов, коллеги!
Hello, I’m working at Bored Panda, an online arts and design magazine (www.boredpanda.com). We really liked your videos and we're interested in featuring them on our Facebook channels. What do you think? Could you give me your email address please? So I'll send you more info. Thanks!
any chance i could see the finished staircase with the glass etc? looks amazing btw :)
That’s gone be one fucked trip down them stairs drunk. Nice asf tho
What was the cost for the metal and welding work?
It looks amazing! Where do you buy the floating steps brackets? And why are some comments saying it's a code violation? because of no railing? or the floating staircase itself is a code violation? Thanks!
Thank you. The brackets were all made from BMS and welded to the frame. I am not sure if you can buy anything similar. People haven’t read the description and think that I intended to leave it without a balustrade. Since this video I have installed surrounding glass with a black aluminium handrail. It’s all to code and fully insured.
@@mrs.869 Ah that's cool! Thank you for your reply! It'd look amazing with the glass railing/wall around it!
Waste the wall you removed downstairs not supporting the second story? Great build!
The wall I removed was not load bearing. So it was safe to remove.
@@mrs.869 oh ok I meant was not waste** sorry lol
Nice video! What do you think about Roarockit veneer and glue?
Their veneer is really good stuff. I have never used their glue tho. I always use the professional sk8 glue.
They use proper Canadian maple veneer. You can't get much better. I've used the titebond glue for about 15 years now and it's never failed.
@@mrs.869 thanks!
How mutch square meters you can buye for this machine price?
Really nice work mate! But you know that. Looks fantastic! Just the inspiration I needed to get myself going today. Off to renovate. 👍
Thousands of lifetime projects with Woodglut plans.

What will you do with these plastic sheets?
