isn't D-shifter an amazing handtrap against despia? I've been testing a little bit online and it seems that as long as you D-shifter them even if you're going second as long as you can make a semi-decent board most if not all of the time they end up losing not only all of their disruption but that duel as well. I know there's not a whole lot of meta decks that can run it the only one that comes to mind is floowanders but even tier 2/3 decks can easily beat it as long as you can play not only the shifter but stuff like gozen or rivalry.
They can play under it decently, they’re certainly not as affected by it as other decks. Quaeritis, Ad Lib, Tragedy and Dramaturge will tigger if they’re banished. Lubellion and Branded In Red will recycle any banished cards. Unless you’re playing Flunder they most likely can set up a better board than you under Shifter
Gonna keep playing branded despia until it becomes too common in my area. It's a good deck but I highly doubt it'll become number 1 because it has way too many breaking points! Extra deck space is already limited. The best card in your deck restricts you from links. Running links to counter one trap card at the cost of 20-30% of your extra deck is a bit suboptimal. But hey, do what works for you :)
I run links in mine. Linkuriboh/Anima, and anaconda. The link 1 is tragedy, link, set branded in red if I open poorly. It atleast gives me something. This just shows how op the branded despia deck is... Not much hts can affect them...
Imperm, ash, veiler, ghost belle
@@chewdoom8415 u didn't even watch the video....
They hav so much bait for ash or use brave engine to protect their plays....
@@yugiwinninglex @alex neo I see Tom did not even mention comedy, so that is something people need to be aware of. I see that you did say that they can dodge veiler, so that's my fault for looking over that.
If we are going to say that everyone knows one thing about the deck then we could say the same applies to any other bit of information, and that's certainly not true given the existence of videos like this.
I still say it is an exaggeration to say that not many handtraps effect them. It is good when you open good, but you have a lot of cards you don't want to see and you can end up opening without your branded engine or even a hand where your aluber cannot be used because of brave, in which case you are very vulnerable.
I am one of the people who is thr first to tell someone they are underestimating the deck severely but it is nowhere near op, at least not this build. That's the only point I was trying to make.
@@chewdoom8415 Hahaha it sounds like u didn't. So it is fine if ppl play against u while ur using despia while if ppl play against other smart players who use tragedy veiler and imper don't work that well.
Also evry1 knows imper works lol it a nuff said. And they can dodge veiler lol.
D barrier
In master duel only 1 big problem (called by the grave ) needs to go
I'm super happy I bought my Dinomorphia cards when the set came out. lol I hope they spike
how to stop plunderpatrol?
Built a Blue-Eyes Invoked Branded Despia Deck.😂 the reason why is because everyone is looking to negate my branded and if they do…we’ll I get into my invokes or blue-eyes engine so.
isn't D-shifter an amazing handtrap against despia? I've been testing a little bit online and it seems that as long as you D-shifter them even if you're going second as long as you can make a semi-decent board most if not all of the time they end up losing not only all of their disruption but that duel as well. I know there's not a whole lot of meta decks that can run it the only one that comes to mind is floowanders but even tier 2/3 decks can easily beat it as long as you can play not only the shifter but stuff like gozen or rivalry.
Most of the effects of Despia are in the GY yes. But then again, unless you have a deck that can use Shifter without problems, you'll lock yourself.
How we get this b4 we got a how to beat three axis video 🤦🏾♂️?
Gonna keep playing branded despia until it becomes too common in my area. It's a good deck but I highly doubt it'll become number 1 because it has way too many breaking points! Basically any 2 hand traps will end this deck. My locals are already side decking dimensional barrier at 3. Only the most expensive variant will be oppressing which isn't a credit to Despia Branded but more to overpowered modern engines. Still, I love this deck and the entire lore behind it!💚
This is nice!!!
I would recommend Despia players to include Link Monster in their Extra along with a DPE Mali/Denier package. Cause D Barrier doesn't hurt Link monsters, and Accesscode is a wonderful monster to go into when D Barrier is up
problem is that it will be hard to go into accesscode + extra deck space is already pretty limited
Anaconda is mainly for later in the game to cheese a superpoly after turning something to dark. Wouldn't mind finding room for the dark charmer though
@@warriorofgod2700 I run verte + dharc, no link 1 for tragedy because the deck has a lot of starters already and you’d have to open in red + tragedy which i only run 2 of each
@@warriorofgod2700 I run 14 fusions and the one dark charmer. I find dark charmer is just too good not to run
how is d.d. crow against this deck? i was told its good but i think all it can really do is stop branded in red by banishing the albaz
Against summoning Guardian Chimera. They use branded in red to add despia monster from GY for fusion summoning. Banishing it can preventing them summoning Chimera and Pop your cards.
is solem strike a good card against despia?
Only if you can set it by going first. Otherwise it will be popped by Chimera.
for the floo players specifically: dimensions shifter.
Us floo players just gonna get a bye every tournament 😂
I seen ppl play branded sword soul despia and kicked ass
A lot of this stuff seems obvious but thanks for the tips!!
What if they have branded lost the continuous spell (the magical meltdown)
D. Barrier can still activate in response to an activated card or effect that would Fusion Summon (assuming it's not SS4 like Super Poly or even Ultra Poly) and prevent players from Special Summoning Fusion Monsters for the rest of that turn.
I fear the Simpified gamestate
Dimensional Barrier. Thats it.
Gonna play this deck so I know how to beat it
Burn deck let them summon full board. Activate scapegoat just dessert x2 chain strike boom GG. I guess with next 6k gems, I will get the full package of new cards.
nice good stuff
All im doing is learning some combos LOL
I feel personally attacked lol super stoked for this deck though lol great vid as always
Eh yeah and they can revive dragoon on your turn after they used (negate ist soft once) him go figure it out how
(Before people ask duh… read adlib)
That's true, but I do not know how often that would be with dragoon. You miss out on dumping a despia or albaz when you make dragoon. It will be much easier to revive when they get exile though
This will rarely, if ever, happens in a real duel. You won't have enough fusion materials in hand for chimera with the dragoon line since you can't dump tragedy with branded fusion
Edit: tragedy is your main way to search for ad libitum
@@hirukashiro5995 Chimera is overrated as fuck. Sure, chain block shenanigans, but it still takes way too many resources to make.
@@Grayewick Resouces should not even be a problem if it is used with the right cards. Even if you only get one draw, a tragedy gives you an add.
Dimensional barrier lol such a hard counter
What about summer limit
Well if you limit summer, it's gunna get real cold real fast. But if you winter limit, you can enjoy the summer for longer.
@@MSTTV can dyna fossil stop fallen albaz effect to fusion summon with an opponent's monster even fossil dyna?
Idk why but I won all duels against branded despia with veiler.
On the Aluber, Chimera, Lubellion, I'm presuming?
@@isaacreeves9263 Aluber.
That's some serious luck if you played a bunch of duels where one veiler was all that you needed
ah yes just draw the unsearchable out
Thank you for this. I’ve been waiting for a good video to counter Despia.
Smarts watch this video to learn how to counter it😏
Pros watch this video to prevent counters😎
It would have been nice to be able to see and read the cards in the first 4 minutes so you dont have to flip tabs...black screen? TB in the corner? o.o
unfortunately they can counter their counter with adventure
I'm gonna kill this deck with my birds 🐧
plays mermail, negates super poly, all is good in the world
