Hey man, great video. I've been having success playing them as a going second board breakers running small world and lava golems. The field spells are really fun and unique removal for boss monsters. Such a shame that the spell that will really help them is only coming later on.

Been loving this deck. Sad thing is that it requires you to use a 3 card combo almost every time

That's what i've noticed too. Some cards 'make' the combo, but the combo still needs specifics for it to do anything. Really sad when you can 'set it up' and have literally nothing you can do with it. Hoping the OCG card Solo Activation helps it a bit but who knows.
This deck feels like it has a lot of potential, especially against Mystic Mine based decks. You give your opponent a field spell, which gets rid of Mystic Mine (wouldn’t work if Field Barrier is on the field)
Very cool list. For people who struggle with the price tag of the Baronne you may also consider synchro 8s since the big Vaylantz you wanna see are level six. Savage is pretty sick since by that point Beyond should be in the grave.

i want to point out that the gizmek field spell searches half of these cards.
infact most of the gizmek cards work perfectly with this archetype. the boar and deluge dragon are small world tagets to bridge the 2 sides of vaylantz together.
another unique interaction is that limiter removal just puts them in the extra deck so you can just pend summon what dies back.
Would like to see a deck profile of a gizmek version of this deck.
Great deck profile!! I play Scareclaw Tri-Heart in my extra deck its very good and you can always go into it since the deck can spam the field really good
You do want 3 viscount. Want it for the option for Gear Gigant X , to grab Cyber Stein to make Exterio :)
if we tune it right and avoid burning the normal summon of CS then yah that sounds good.
@@MSTTV Me personally in all the time I've played the deck I've only hard summoned a vaylantz like three times and that was on turn four lol
But I'm running a much different build for sure.

pulled a few out a a couple of packs i bought for the heck of it and the art looked cool but this archtype looks like something i can get into and really enjoy that differes from a typical deck

This deck is rough to play, but it is flexible in what they can summon off the extra deck.
Rank 6 for Beatrice, toolbox GY effects/sending the Vaylantz Beginning/Awakening or niche good guy effects.
Tbh, if this deck had an in-theme tuner, or the ability to make Vaylantz into tuners, the ceiling would be very very high.
There is one more card that fits very well in this extra deck. That card is patissciel couverture.
A few challenging ruling questions for you; maybe y'all can tag team with Distant Coder for a discussion video:
1) What happens when you move a token into the S/T Zone? Does it dissappear?
2) What happens to Xyz materials when an Xyz monster is moved into the S/T Zone. If the materials are sent to the GY, are they considered "sent from the field to GY"?
3) What happens to a Pendulum monster if it is moved back into a Pendulum Zone from a Monster Zone. Does it become a Pendulum scale again or is it treated as a continuous spell due to the effect of the field spell and essentially lock the player out of placing a new scale?
I can answer this as been playing the deck. The field spells stipulates move the card into your spell and trap zone as a continuous spell. So token moves into spell and trap, xyz moves into spell and trap with material. Pendulum cards moved into the spell and trap don't become a scale as they are moved as a continuous spell not as a spell like a normal pendulum monster
All xyz material are sent to the grave and grave effects will not action ate due to xyzs ruling it is not dent from field
I am trying to build a Vaylantz deck. thankfully, the Tactimal Masters box comes with all of them really easy to get and also a couple of Drolls for hand traps
I have tested with cyber-stein to bring out Naturia Exterio for going first and Patissciel Couverture for going second as a free pop and extender

love the concept of the deck, and the complexity can be a double edged sword. if you dont know what you're doing, how can your opponent? also glad that all of this (minus obvious extra deck monsters) are super cheap cause everybody is looking at the trap mommy and mystic mine spells

Great deck, a lot of gas the only thing is ashing or negating beyond the pendulum if that happens its pretty much game. I dont see a lot of counter play to protect your beyond in the profile. but solid tech cards very noice.

I've been loving a Symphonic Warrior engine in the deck, havent thought about the Spirit Pendulums, gonna have to try it.
Also tested Solfachord and Mythical Beast engines in the deck to mixed success.
Try the Zefras, they're pretty good to have synergy with.

I know this isn't a very broken thing but i play a DD line for summoning Halq because Kepler searches the dark contract the contract searches lamia and lamia destroys the contract to summon itself and then you can link those two into halq and then summon another tuner - just a in general halq combo for my pendulums.
Edit :You can also use it to summon Beyond the pendulum as well because Kepler is a pendulum.
So, what's the card in Darkwing Blast that you're switching out for Pendulum Treasure?
This is one of the coolest archetypes Konami has ever made especially for pendulum which usually is just made to be in pend good stuff! Too bad Konami didn’t want to take advantage of this unique gimmick and actually make the cards actually do things that matter. Konami: let’s make an archetype with a unique gimmick and needs its field spell but make the field spells mediocre at best and make it basically always be a 3 card combo to do mediocre plays.
Also Konami: Let’s give this tier 1 deck/engine that’s already strong a field spell they don’t need that is basically a free upstart goblin just because
I love the deck but I'm too much of a scrubb to learn to play it. I simped for the Lady Dimitrescu Labrynths and will be siding 3 D. Barriers and 3 Super Poly for Patissciel Couverture.
I feel like borreload savage dragon would be a lot better to have in this deck as another synchro target. Odd-Eyes synchron can target half of the deck in the scales to immediately Synchro into anything provided it's 1 tuner and 1 nontuner monster.
I never realized there was a way to completely stop a monster and take them out the game until i learned about Vaylantz Field's Pop. (banishing Face-down's ok too i guess)
Ruling Question:
Can Shinra Bansho be used to target a pendulum monster card that was activated as pendulum spell into the monster zone?
It’s ironic that the board game style archetype is great for breaking boards and playing through negates and interruptions, have shinomome and any other pendulum monster is usually full combo
Why should i think when i can just special summon negates for free from hand?
How would you play this with Solo Activation? Card seems incredibly nice.
Just a little food for thought but wouldn’t “Pendulum Transfer” be useful for this deck. I mean You can definitely use it to scale the duke and such if you so need it.

Valyantz is easily the most unique deck we've had in a long while. High ceiling and lots of potential
I think people are sleeping on it really. Just because moving pieces around can feel slow in today's meta, doesn't mean it's not powerful

I think the biggest problem with this deck right now is the ceiling just feels really low. there's not a ton of ways to abuse a lot of the generic pendulum stuff because not only do you need to constantly keep your zones free, but the way vaylantz lock you is surprisingly restrictive and turns off many supplementary engine options. the boss monsters are good but don't carry the deck enough on their own. they don't have the consistency to be a blind second OTK strategy either. even with dark wing blast drops, I'm just not sure what the end goal is for any turn beyond throw up generic negates and then lose to dark ruler
The boss monsters suck. One doesn't do anything significant and the other requires way too much for a mediocre effect and zero protection.
They definitely don't suck, but they lack the support to make them really interesting. Being able to push a monster into the S/T zone is genuinely a very powerful form of disruption, but allowing your opponent to just summon it using the field spell afterwards makes it pretty pointless. This makes me think it's more of a going second deck, but doesn't have nearly the explosive power needed to achieve that kind of strategy.

Mamonaka in particular states that you have to target an effect monster, therefore you can't really target face-downs

you start pushing their monsters, and they go "I gotta put monsters in front of spell and trap cards so they can't be pushed" and that's when you bring forth... Mekk-knights! hell yeah!
When you push a monster it destroys whatever spell/trap is already behind it.

It has board breakers... its in the field spells and in the mosnters themselves. It cannot afford hand traps due to the high monster count it needs to be consistent. BUT
after Darkwing Blast. They get their Spell to Scale a card from the deck AND shift the zone.. which lets you cut down on the monster count its like E-Tele for them + 1 additional effect.
Then we can hand trap, OR konami can reelase pendulum hand traps ;)

I've actually never played a pendulum deck before, since everyone is on runick and labrynth (love em both, got all the core cards too), this deck is cheap as fuck, I'll just buy all the core cards as well lmao
This is why I hate cards like Baronne and Apollousa. Every deck just summons those. every goddamn deck.
