I should have my Inspiron 16 in a couple of days. I went with the Ryzen 7 model. I'm a Linux user, and find AMD provide a much better user experience when it comes to Linux.
Let me know how you get on with it.
@@BrueComputing Definitely will! I'm using a Lenovo ThinkPad P1 gen 4 at the moment, and to be honest, I've very disappointed with it. Normal desktop performance is just disappointing (both in Windows and Linux). I'm not saying the P1 isn't performant when it comes to crunching numbers, but the desktop just "feels" awful (it's not smooth and responsive). I'm really looking forward to see how the Inspiron 16 5625 compares to the P1.
@@BrueComputing Got my Inspiron 5625 and am very impressed with it. I tried out Windows 11 for a couple of hours after unboxing, but really didn't like it (felt slow/sluggish, and the fans were always on). I installed Linux, it works really well: ua-cam.com/video/o6P49Umsn_U/v-deo.html . Everything just worked out of the box. Was really surprised how smooth and responsive the system was even when streaming a 4K video and screen recording at 60FPS. Definitely a keeper :)
WOW didn't think Cyberpunk would run that well on these lower end computers. Cool.
Modern low end computers*
Might as well name it i5-1234U
So is R5- 5625 superior in all ways?
I didn't purchase previous year laptops because of vega graphics. Now they still using vega in lower ends. Thought rdna will come in all processor
RDNA based graphics is in the 6000-series APUs, which aren't out yet. 5625U is a mild refresh of the 5600U.
tbh I got the ryzen 7 model and... yeah it's a little better than ulv dgpu's like most of the MX series... and you get more battery life than say a victus 16 with a 10400h and rtx3050... but thinking that these were updated from 5xxx gen chips and not justb minor tweaks was disappointing. It is nice that the cpu matches against the 11800h unit I reviewed for work but it feels like it was a waste of money as it's left me so wanting that I plan on hopping to 6xxx when it's viable to, I had planned on making the unit take a 7 year hard life run like my old maxxed out e455 while I tested and flipped other units but idk... heres hoping AMD botches the 6th gen as hard as intel botched everyones hopes for the arc gpu's.
does the battary backup vary a lot between ryzen 5 5625u and intel i5 1240p
❤❤❤
What about the 1335u instead of the 1235u?
Hey , can you just tell me the loudness of speakers on both these devices. Thanks in Advance.
Are you sure these two laptops have the same PL1 and PL2?
They aren't identical, but they are the closest comparison available to me.
Measuring in HWMonitor both go up to around 30W initially, before dropping back to 20-25W and then settling at 15W in sustained workloads.
how about dell inspiron 16 with intel uhd graphics card?
They don't do it here - the lowest specification is the i5 model. Only the i3 has UHD.
@@BrueComputing here inspiron 16 12th gen i5 using intel uhd. Is that intel uhd is good?
@@maahesh182 12th gen i5 has Iris XE graphics, UHD is only on the i3 and below.
@@BrueComputing But in malaysia, dell inspiron 16 and inspiron 14 5420 is 12th gen 15-1235U ,intel uhd graphics.
@@maahesh182 Dell list it incorrectly on the site, the i5 is Intel Iris XE.
