I am new to hearing Gregory Porter and he is just amazing and I am hooked after listening to him do Sting song's "It's probably me" wow.
This is the video I work to everyday now. He has a voice like no other, the exotic sound of his voice relaxing my inner soul. His body of work is a musical treasure hunt. My husband an I sings the duet of him and Lalah Hathaway. Just wonderful going to see him in Richmond Va.
He gives a good show! Just music, vocals and life! He doesn't have any gimmicks or tricks...no jokes, just his personality and his voice to shine through!

Much to my regret I only "discovered" Gregory last year and thought "why on EARTH haven't I HEARD of this MAN before???" SO glad to see more and more of him here on UA-cam - he certainly deserves all the recognition that seems to be accelerating among music lovers everywhere, these days! His voice is both gentle (or soothing for the shoul) AND strong - a genuine treasure.

Outstanding!!!!!... Every time I hear GP and his band (which changes occasionally); they are more and more phenomenal! The hard swing fused with gospel touches and tremendous soul-jazz inspired vocals and occasional scat/whistles & bird sounds. WOW!! Nobody writes, and performs Music like this! So deep - heavy hearted- groovin -swangin'. And come on who had both a piano player (Steinway btw) and hammond organ player...........Have Mercy! Take Me To Church- Take Me To Your Alley- Take Me To The Show!

My oh my .... the entire concert was off the chain, however, that ending - WHEN LOVE WAS KING - gave me chills, and reverberated my soul .... Gregory took that song "there"!!!!! I love Mr Porter and have been a fan from the days at 145th Street - to Smoke - to Saratoga ... and its my hope to catch him on one of his tours out of the country hopefully on one of his caribbean island concerts; in the warmth of the sun, the breezes, and the beautiful waters .... yeah Im taking it there ... Blessings
