I couldn't believe that this Set cost us AUD$295.00! For three synthetic brushes in a leather casing. It's a nice idea for certain people, but you'd think they'd add some real fibres in those brushes at this price.🇦🇺
Like you Jenn I wasn't planing on getting to much form this collection.... but I ended up with the mirrors in all the shades and six of the brush cases and nail files... they are so much more beautiful in person than in the pictures... a very fun and unique collection for Chanel and definitely highly collectible!🥰

Juicy discussion of the collection, I’m enjoying it too. My theory of these selling out is like the holiday sets, it’s a budget way to have something by Chanel. Something leather by Chanel for under $200? A lot more people can afford the brush case than a bag. And it’s actual goods, not like “gift with purchase” quality. I like the theory of “testing the waters.” Maybe because the leather goods are so outrageous in price that they are looking for that tier they left behind, the under $1000 logo item. I bought the full Ballerina set because it’s my most repurchased polish shade. I have carried a Chanel lipstick in my bag since my late teens. Back then a single lipstick was all I could afford. But it’s ladies’ room signaling to pull that lipstick out along with my badass, and the pink mirror will now be in that bag too. I bought the Noir mirror too because it’s a traditional compact shade. I use my regular black one many times a day, for years now. But the biggest gasp of all was when I opened the box with the Ballerina brush set. I picked two samples with my order. In the box was one of the samples and *gasp* another brush set! In the color Diva. That I didn’t order. Wasn’t charged for it. 🫢
I love my brush set 😊 I’m now bummed I didn’t get a mirror for my mom. Thanks for letting us know when these were ready for purchase and stressing these would sell out.

Watching you talk about these items was a lot of fun for me. I didn’t get anything because I just got back from a month of traveling and I didn’t want to order online while abroad. Sorry you had such a bad week and hope things get better for poor Harper soon. P.s. Chanel’s website is horrible, it’s a sad game of guessing what the colors will actually look like in person. Their accessories and purses are so hard to browse online, I know their typical clientele doesn’t care much for the website, but it’s grating to me as someone in my late 30’s haha

A lady is a lady and there is something special about pulling out a pretty compact from your purse. Unfortunately, I missed out on the pretty colors and wasn’t sure if they’d return so I ended up purchasing the black one. Again with the special feeling, I probably would’ve bought the nail file to keep in my purse but they had sold out too. 🙄 I liked the ballerina pink, of course and the deep, deep plum purple colors. 😢

I was finally able to get four mirrors: One for me, and the others for three very special women in my life. I think the bright, cheerful colors will be a fun surprise when I give them their goodie bags when we get together for an at home spa day in August. The mirror is actually quite good. Both the magnifying and the regular mirrors are good quality-no distortion or cloudiness and they’re a good size for on the go. I think this collection was meant entirely for some summer fun. As for the brushes, me and my ladies all collect fude so the brushes are a miss.

I am not a Chanel buyer, but I must say I really like the brush set. Price-wise it is convenient, because each brush costs 50 euro in Italy and the set is 160 euro. As you sad, you don't pay much for the case. Everything in every colour is still available over here on the European website, I think people tend not to rush to buy as it happens in the US, at least for make-up. I found that some limited edition pieces of couture and jewellery by Dior (since it's what I check) easily sell out , but I think it never happened with make up so quickly.
I completely understand about having a bad week and then getting something you like. I'm in IT corporate and it can be rough sometimes. I love Chanel 🖤

I think that these Brush Sets can come in quite handy to certain people. Most especially to those who travel for work or leisure and can fit in many other items too. If you're going to grab the Brush Set, you may as well get a matching mirror etc., although I think the nail file is priced far too high. Why shouldn't you travel with luxury goods instead of leaving all the pretty things at home? I must say that the price difference between the US and Australia is vastly different. For the Brush Set alone in the leather casing is AUD$295.00 here, which is US$201.75! How can this be fair?🤷🏼♀️ I did like the concept, especially being something different, but at our prices, it's simply outrageous to pay this, unless you've got the money to spend. This Brush Set alone will cover my next Electricity bill with change. It is rather pretty and I quite like the Navy Blue and Sage colours best, yet I'll be viewing from afar. For those who like it and wish to purchase for whatever the reason, go ahead and do what makes you happy! We get one life to live and who wants regrets?🇦🇺💖👩🏼🎨

I bought the immortelle because it was exclusive and then the sage (the one I really wanted) came back in stock. Because…of course. 🙄Now what? I’m trying to rationalize but the brushes are good but not amazing.

In Canada, it’s cheaper to buy the set of brushes, the set costs 210$ and each brush costs 71$ (recently increased by 1$), so 3$ less for the set!!😊

Is the Sage available somewhere online? It’s still sold out online in the US. But some boutiques might still have it

The mirror is a very basic quality. It won't take much for the mirror face to drop out of the plastic casing. Or for the plastic hinge to break.
